Very very poor limited choice of breakfast at 8.40am. Food and plates were cold. We took full English breakfast but left this as was cold and continental breakfast only offered limited choice of cereals and three danish pastries. Very poor and not worth the £10.00 extra on the room booking charge.

Excellent hotel at the right price in a good out of town location for the Nottingham area. Rooms are large, warm and well equiped with all the ususal facilities. Poor staffing levels. No staff at Bar when wanting a drink, had to wait ages for the only waiter to return after going to fetch a tray of tea for a customer. No one on the dining room door at 1845 hours yet the door was open as if for service, and there were 20 plus persons inside eating - subsequently found out these were apprentices on a course and the dining room did not open until 1930 hours! Most foood (bacon, sausages, black oudding, eggs & fried bread) on the breakfast buffet was virtually cold - no wonder as the water baths underneath were barely warm. (Reported to door and Reception).

Good conferencing facilities. Allowed us to use the pool after checkout as did not have time during the conference. Comfortable room and clean. Very friendly and helpful restaurant staff and good food. Requested a double but given a twin room and told not possible to change, despite booking in advance when double rooms were still apparently available, without any sort of apology or offer of other compensation for the error or inconvenience. Not a big problem but a bit more willingness to accommodate the complaint and perhaps offer some sort of compensation was expected. Wifi only free for first 30 minutes - should be included in stay especially as it is a conference and business center. Evening meal set price and bar was a bit steep.

The location and the grounds. The room was cold and it was quite a distance from the room to the reception and restaurant. I'm over 5 months pregnant, otherwise the distance wouldn't have been an issue.

The room was reasonable (if a little cobwebby) and the staff were lovely. The main house looked lovely although we didn't get to see any of it which was a shame. But the spa area was nice, clean and welcoming even if the bubble pool was a little too hot for my liking. I am sorry but the food was truly awful! In fact the breakfast was so poor it was even beaten by that being provided by the Travel Lodge we also stayed at during our trip. We had dinner in your restaurant on our first night and it was dreadful, the starter was bland and poorly planned, the main was badly designed, badly over cooked and horrid, I wasn't offered a wine list nor coffee, in fact the only reasonable bit was the desert which was ok. It was so bad we couldn't face eating there another night and even prefered fish and chips, which says a lot. Your staff seem to think the food is good but I'm sorry its just not up to fine dining and we do know fine dining as we both work and dine in London regularly. For a 4 star hotel your food is poor and really lets down the hotel, despite the very best efforts of the staff, so I'm sorry but until it is improved I could not recommend you as we and all our friends are foodies and they would not enjoy it with you.

Although the accommodation was comfortable, clean and tidy, I felt it was a little bit dated and could not be described as luxurious. Also the bedrooms were a considerable distance from the reception/dining facilities. Unless there was an alternative route which I was unaware of, this meant a long walk to and from the lift. In my opinion the layout of Eastwood Hall was not suitable for the older traveller and was a little bit expensive for what it was.

The food was excellent. Although the dinner menu was limited, the quality was excellent, particularly the belly of pork. On arriving in the room, only one bath towel was set out, despite the double room being booked for 2. We found the 2nd towel in a cupboard. When the towels were changed the following day, only one bath towel was left with no spare. Strange.

After booking Eastwood Hall I looked at some reviews and some not good ones at all and thought maybe I should of booked somewhere else but I am so so glad I didn'T. The staff were very helpful and the young Blonde lady Sam who works in the resturant was fantastic she is worth her weight in gold extreamly helpful and aims to please so a big thank you to her. The food was of a high standard big portion sizes the mushroom and spinach wellington was to die for. We didnt try any deserts as we were so full. The room was good lots of room for the two of us. Clean, tidy and comfortable. The lesiure facilities were of a good standard too which we did use. The both of us had a lovely relaxing time away from the busy hectic lives which we lead. Over all we had a really relaxing enjoyable stay so thank you too the all the staff we shall return again. There were some not very good points but only miner. 1. the room which we had booked was miles away from reception and anything else, but at least it was kinda quiet at the end. 2. the pictures on the internet are very misleading you do not stay in the Hall part of the building as they are conference rooms which is such a shame. 3. the bar wasnt open on the sunday till 5pm so there was no where to get any lunch etc from so was a good job we had a big breakfast as other wise we'd of been hungry.

I liked the situation it was ideally situated for making visits in Nottinghamshire and also days out into the Peak District. The surroundings were lovely and peaceful, there were enough facilities for us to feel 'on holiday' I.E. the gym. The staff were friendly in all parts of the hotel. When I requested that we move rooms as I'd asked for a twin room in the booking, there was no quibble and it was done straight away. The service in the restaurant was extremely slow, which spoiled my enjoyment of the meals we had.

It is a convenient stop en route to the North with really good facilities, pleasant staff and service. Unfortunately we booked on a Sunday night when the restaurant staff had not turned up for duty. However, they rallied round and we had our meals in relatively good time. Because of this we were given some 'goodies', including a room upgrade, as compensation.

When I made the booking it stated that we would get a double or twin room and we actually got a double bed which was good. The room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and the facilities were great. We had breakfast included which was a buffet style with a good choice of both continental and full english. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

The hotel was set in beautiful surroundings. The welcome when you arrive is very friendly and the hotel ammenities downstairs are wonderful. You have access to the gym, swimming pool, steam room and jaccuzzi. The bar area and restuarant are very nicely laid out. The choice of items for your breakfast is excellent and very well presented. The only downfall with the hotel was the bedroom. This was definately not to four star standard and was very disappointing. The decor was dated, bath panel cracked and cobwebs were on the wall. A shame really because the rest of the hotel was lovely.

Location near to our weekend course. Quiet due to previous hotel being on main roads. Swimming pool was useful, breakfast included was nice. Twin room was smaller than thought, beds small and not very comfortable.

I found the staff so easy to relate to, friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, coupled with en-suite bathroom facilities, with a relaxed hint of business feeling to it. Compared to alternative accommodation in the area, it's in a class of it's own. The food and service was exceptional. I suppose the best way to describe it could be: remember the best job you ever had, the one where the stories come from that shape your life? The feeling of Eastwood Hall is exactly that. Tell your Social Committee, Department Manager and ceo. Nothing was bad
