Not a lot.
Two mile walk to rooms. No car parking, cannot enter the hotel from rear without a quarter mile walk around to front where you cannot park. No Bedside Lamps in room, and rather disgruntled staff that I asked for one! No remote for TV and again rather disgruntled that I had the audacity to request one. Towels are knackered, bathroom needs a complete overhaul. Omitted to warn us that we would be staying in the middle of an industrial exhibition at the hotel with Vegas theme night. The staff couldn't cope, etc, etc, too much to add here. Never again!
Been before, lovely break will be coming again. :)
the location the food , breakfast was great
Reception staff are rude and argumentative They have put me off going again
swimming pool excellent breakfast good parking lovely setting and gardens
tv was old with poor picture and high pitched whistle. Sink in bathroom was very slow to drain. very poor quality shower-just a trickle
Dining room staffing has improved Despite adverse comments it's the only convenient hotel in the area.
The breakfast is always cold and cold plates don't help. The TV controls never work and TVs are very dated. As a person with restricted sight the outside lighting is very poor.
Came for a wedding reception - and had a fantastic time.
Price of drinks at the bar where expensive
The place is in a beautiful setting that is huge and gives a sense of refreshment. The club facilities are great. I loved their generous serving of delicious food as well.
The beds are very humble and not too comfortable. The standard rooms were tired and too basic for my liking.
Very impressive on arrival, room was average standard, Facilities were excellent Dining room and bar areas were very well laid out.
Restaurant menu lacked imagination. Staff were not very interactive with the customers. Complex lacked signs to rooms, bar area and restaurant.
I liked the location. I liked the restaurant. I like the massive parking and drive way. I
But being with little kids, I feel that there should be joined rooms or family rooms, instead of having children a separate room. Secondly, I was not allowed with kids to use leisure facilities.
Service of staff very good.
Very tired room which smelled of damp.
The hotel is in a beautiful setting, the wedding was lovely and the hospitality from the wedding staff was excellent
bedroom very basic ,we had rust on the side of the bath, we reported this but nothing was done, bar prices were very high we had a snack on arrival 2 egg sandwiches and 2 cokes which cost£19, we paid £197.00 when we checked in this was for 2 nights we expected more
Asked for quiet room and it was quiet.
Poor food quality
The staff were very helpful and the hotel was clean and friendly.
it took me nearly 10 mins to find and get to my room, the rooms are such a long walk thank goodness I was only staying 1 night so didnt have much stuff with me.
Restaurant Swimming pool
The grounds and location, the breakfast, the pool
Drinks were very expensive, despite that someone got drunk enough to set off the fire alarm around 4:30 am! The decor is a bit dated as are the TVs in the rooms. The TV was analogue and the central digital box feeding it had not been updated, as a result we could not see the programme as it had a caption in the middle telling us to update.
Breakfast was excellent but it should be at £20.00 for two people
The room was nothing like anything advertised only one bed side table for a double room tea and coffee facilities were poor lots of milk. But hardly any tea or coffee provided a biscuit would of been nice also. The bathroom tiles surrounding the bath were dirty and the on/off control for the shower was hanging off the wall my partner had to turn it on as I couldn't ,fire alarm went off at 4 am we all went outside no one from the hotel came to assist us so after a time we all went back to our rooms not knowing really what was going on at £89 per room I would Expect a better room Nxt time I will go to a premier inn !
the bar prices to dear
Had excellent evening meal and breakfast, restaurant staff very attentive
There were 2 weddings on so drunken guests kept us awake Child bed not in room, took 2 phonecalls to get child bed. TV a bit dusty but otherwise room fairly clean Tired looking room, although we did go for the budget option
lovely setting, comfortable bed, attractive room.
Would not have booked had we known there were 2 wedding receptions going on - inevitably lots of noisy high spirits in the bar! Service in restaurant slow.
Good hotel in lovely grounds, good facilities and food in restaurant was excellent. The staff were really helpful and friendly.
We were staying here to meet up with friends and their young son. Unfortunately there was a wedding on which meant lot's of rowdy guests coming to bed at 3am & 4am with no consideration for other guests in the hotel. This obviously wasn't the hotel's fault but something to bear in mind if you want a peaceful stay on a weekend.
We did not use any facilities because we were at a family celebration
The breakfast! No problems with the staff. The food was not very hot and the plates that you had to use were COLD so our breakfast was not agood experience. On reflection this had not improved since our last visit
Very helpful, lovely staff Spacious rooms Nice breakfast
Travel cot not in room as requested - took 30 mins to find & bring Door lock broken, another 20 mins to unlock & fix Fire alarm at 1am (not hotels fault, but spoiled our visit)
Restaurant Pool Friendly helpful staff Grounds Parking General Spaciousness
Breakfast Reception manager Zoe when complained she sorted the room service bill!
Room service...cold soup, horrid fish, burnt burger. Tv! so old and bad reception and 5 channels No internet free for 4 star thats bad
The facilities were okay. Great for functions and staying after, the breakfast was perfect.
It's not 6.5 miles from Belper as stated nearer 12. The upgrade rooms are the noisiest.
