We were made most welcolm and thoroughly enjoyed the two night break
Patrick and Sharon were wonderful hosts. The breakfast is delicious and I loved the home-made compotes and jam with fruit from the garden. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in, with beautiful valley views.
There's nothing not to like!
The owner 'Patrick' was most welcoming and also very helpful regarding the local area. The house was very well decorated and the room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was very soft with high quality pillows and bedding and the breakfast was perfect with plenty of choice and cooked fresh to order.
The bathroom lacked a shower which was a little disappointing. Also the owner did not give out front door keys but just told you that he was up till about 11, which was fine by us this time as we intended having a quiet weekend break. But this would put me off during the summer if we wanted to venture further and have a full day and evening out.
We were in Lustleigh to visit friends and found Eastwrey Barton very conveniently located for our purposes. The house and grounds were lovely, the host charming and helpful, the bed deliciously comfortable and the breakfast hearty.
Guests must walk down a rather steep set of steps to reach the house which I found difficult to navigate carrying heavy luggage.
The welcome, the location, the quality of the rooms, the breakfasts. Quiet
We really appreciated the welcome from Patrick and Sharon and Patrick's guidance on places to visit. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and there was a spacious sunny lounge with lovely views over the valley.
The only down side was carrying our suitcases down the steps from the car park to the front door.
Quiet location, lovely place with nice views, and amazing breakfast
Wonderfully comfortable and luxurious with a firendly touch. I highly recommend this B&B. The location is well-situated for visitng Dartmoor National Park or just relaxing in a tranquil, country setting.
warm welcome, lovely furnishings. Felt welcome to be in the garden or use the indoor spaces. Delicious breakfast and the breakfast time was, within reason flexible.
The welcome was warm. The food was superb - breakfasts and dinner. Most of all, Patrick and Sharon's attention to detail in terms of furnishings, room facilities and creating an atmosphere of calm sophistication and comfort, was of the highest standard.
THe owners were really helpful and welcoming.
Incredible views, superb hosts and brilliant room and food
