Eaton Hotel Non Smoking  

It was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It was dirty, hot, smelled of stale smoke and the bed was uncomfortable beyond belief.

Never anyone in reception to welcome guests. Need to ring bell when staff arrived less than warm and welcoming. Had to find our own way to room. Reported TV not working but nothing was done. Reported various bulbs kept blowing/fusing, nothing done. Room lighting very poor. Water merely trickled from the tap and shower. Staff in kitchen were the only helpful folk we met.

it was very clean and comfortable breakfasts superb. Staff very helpful also there is a lovely beer garden right by the canal nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Looking forward to stayin again

Our room was very comfortable,very clean and overlooking the canal it was very quiet and peaceful.Breakfast was of high quality and more than sustantial.All staff were cheery, helpful and most convivial.

I think the car parking is misleading.There seems to be room for no more than 2 or 3 cars at best.We were there on a weekend and it was full and I was forced to pay £10.40 for two days parking at the railway station.The provision of free parking was one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel.

Its cheap and included breakfast..only £29.99/night.

Able to have access to our room earlier than anticipated.Our room was overlooking the canal, on the second floor. Room was of adequate size, very clean and tidy. Facitilies all good, plenty of tea and coffee. Extreemly good value for money, staff were helpful and a made us feel very welcome. As the hotel is on a fairly busy road to the station we expected it to be a bit noisy , but actually was very very quiet, pleasantly suprised as it was a Saturday night we stayed.

Only down side was ,it very hot in our room during the early evening,we were unable to turn radiator down, but we could open the window, so was not a real problem, also the was knob missing from front of our shower, though it still worked ok . I did not have breakfast myself, but my husdand did and he enjoyed what he ate.

Very reasonably priced and generally clean.

Minor thing - the plug hole and surrounding area could have been cleaner.

Value for money. Clean, comfortable but not luxurious. Bedding and towels clean, Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast included in the price. Didn't expect 5 star luxury for the money we paid. Second time we have been to this hotel and if we come to Chester again, will have no hesitation in booking this hotel.

Rooms could do with being remodernised and heating system needs to be replaced. As previous mentioned, didn't expect luxury. We got what we paid for.

The staff upon arrivel were 1st class as was the breakfast staff, very coutreous. The room was a bit dated. Overall the room & service was good value for money.

The only comment I can make about the hotel with a negative take was the dated furnitre in the bedroom.

Fantastic location. Handy for shopping, sightseeing and restaurants and pubs.

Room was very small.

Convenience.The staff seemed busy and friendly.
