Awful, cold (should have been hot) breakfast!

The whole experience of staying here was very good, if not excellent. From check in to check out everything was spot on and the staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Would certainley recomend a stay here.

It was convenient and had everything we needed. the staff were friendly and polite.I had no complaints about my stay.

The only issue was the noise from passing traffic at night. Wasn't too bad but was an issue.

Location and price

Not catering for vegetarian breakfast . I requested for mushroom and just fresh tomatoes as part of breakfast with baked beans and was told we can not provide any more than whats already provided. Also we wanted to book another room on the same booking ref and was told by reception we cannot have another rm at the same price . I think the receptionist could have made enquiry with the manager . I did not find the friendlyness as in the past. I have stayed at the same hotel in the past and found it very comfortale.

Great location between both the A1/M1 giving easy access to both London and the north. Great value, very well presented hotel.

Easy to find and it was comfortable.

The food was not to the standered I expected. After sending my meal back for the second time I found that my guest also had to send her meal back as it was not cooked. Really disapointed with the quality. Breakfast did not look any better so had to have toast rather than a cooked breakfast. I would only recommend the Holiday Express if people were noy eating in.

The staff at reception, on our entrance ,where quite busy but dropped everything to help and assist us. We were very impressed with the room ,the facilities,the service throughout and the breakfast(especially at the discounted price of the whole deal),and would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone who wanted to stay in this lovely part of the country

Great location, room ideal for business trip. Food good both evening and breakfast. Very quiet considering the proximity to railway and major road. Young lady on reception during my stay, a major asset to your business. Good stay, thanks.

Maureen was exceptionally helpful. Even found a charger for my phone

beds moved too easily on casters - this meant that my elderly father nearly sat on the floor!

Very disappointed with the choice of meals on the evening menu, and rather pricey for what we had!

Price included a free buffet breakfast and with 2 teenagers was a god send as they eat for a army, room was very clean and had some neat touches like the blue low lights in the bathroom great when you dont wont a bright light in your face at 5 am or to wake any one up, but you can put the main light on when washing etc,staff were great and very helpfull,and they will order take aways for you and provide plates etc and you can eat it in there dinning area,saves the mess in the room

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The rooms are very well designed, spotlessly clean, a very good breakfast selection and the staff were pleasant.
