The location was good as it was near place we needed to visit, staff are friendly and hotel is very comfortable. I didnt like the fact you had to pay to use the internet. It should be included as part of the room cost. Most hotels offer this free and i was disgusted that this wasnt the case with holday express. It is for this reason i would not book a holiday inn again.

Clean hotel, air conditioned rooms, free car park, full breakfast included, train station across the road, shopping centre within walking distance, scenic canal within 20 yards with a walking path alongside. Posh-looking dining hall. Stay here if you are travelling to london in a car. Room was a bit smallish and without free internet. Old box-type small tv with only 10 free to view channels. Charges for internet access and additional tv channels are rather on the expensive side. Overall- good value for money hotel for visiting london.

Clean, comfortable and good value for money. Breakfast was particularly good. Just an observation, due to the hotels proximity to the railway station perhaps a little more information on train times.

Room was comfortable. Having choice of pillows was also good. Near where we needed to be. Breakfast was good. The shower area was like a wet room but the water seemed to go everywhere. Prefer shower trays.

Excellent value for money. A perfect hotel stay for a couple of days. Clearly, a well thought-out concept. For the price I could not find fault with anything.

It was the perfect location for me which is why I chose it. Everything worked ok, classic Holiday Inn - functional but dull. Yes - the room cost less than £100 but I had to pay £13 for decent internet access. Most hotels now offer wifi free in the rooms. £13 is a rip off. There was a cheaper option but not one that I could use for business email, download etc.

I liked the cleanliness of rooms: I liked the fact that there was a breakfast: The beds were of good quality: The hotel was in a good and useful location. Would have liked a little more variety in the cooked breakfast: a larger duvet would have been better (the one on our bed only just fitted the top of the bed, there was no overlap at the side, consequently, if either one of us moved it left the other without bed covers.

The breakfast was very poor! The hot food was constantly running out and everyone was getting frustrated with the little space available.

Probably the most surprisising feature is the setting at the side of Apsley Marina on the Grand Union Canal. It was a warm night and we wandered across to the Pub where couples were enjoyong meals and drinks. We stood on the bridge and watched several boat make their way to the nearby lock.. Back at the hotel we found it spotlessly clean. In the morning their was an exclellent breakfast making it impossible to leave hungry..

The location was a pleasant surprise. Set next to a new residential marina along the canal. Nice pub and restaurants within 1 minute walk and wonderful walks along the tow-path and countryside.

Excellent value and completely trounced a vastly more expensive hotel nearby with their cold showers (as l heard from more than one of our group who stayed there). Please don't put your rates up as really good rates like this get us out of our house and visiting freinds and new places. And I did find a grape under our bed.
