Lovely location, easy road access, good facilities. Hotel heating and plumbing useless for such a new hotel. No hot water 1 morning, a wait of 10 minutes for hot water each time you turned the tap. Legionella risk?

Well-appointed room in pleasant and convenient location. Generous breakfast. Rather impersonal; though staff were friendly and helpful, when in evidence. No evening meal.

I liked the cleanliness of rooms: I liked the fact that there was a breakfast: The beds were of good quality: The hotel was in a good and useful location. Would have liked a little more variety in the cooked breakfast: a larger duvet would have been better (the one on our bed only just fitted the top of the bed, there was no overlap at the side, consequently, if either one of us moved it left the other without bed covers.

The location was very good. Close to facilities but far enough out to be quite quiet. I thought the room was decorated to quite a high standard and it felt like I'd paid more than I did. Breakfast was a good variety and covered most tastes. Whether or not to have to pay for parking was confusing but carpark not run by hi so not their fault (you don't have to pay if you're staying by the way!). Overall a very good package and I'd have no hesitation staying there again.

The breakfast was very poor! The hot food was constantly running out and everyone was getting frustrated with the little space available.

Probably the most surprisising feature is the setting at the side of Apsley Marina on the Grand Union Canal. It was a warm night and we wandered across to the Pub where couples were enjoyong meals and drinks. We stood on the bridge and watched several boat make their way to the nearby lock.. Back at the hotel we found it spotlessly clean. In the morning their was an exclellent breakfast making it impossible to leave hungry..

The location was a pleasant surprise. Set next to a new residential marina along the canal. Nice pub and restaurants within 1 minute walk and wonderful walks along the tow-path and countryside.

Excellent value and completely trounced a vastly more expensive hotel nearby with their cold showers (as l heard from more than one of our group who stayed there). Please don't put your rates up as really good rates like this get us out of our house and visiting freinds and new places. And I did find a grape under our bed.

“Well-run, clean, comfortable hotel one minute's walk from cathedral, 10-15 min walk from station. It was pleasingly quiet, especially considering its central location on a main road. Cafe Rouge next door - its menu is available as room service. Staff were helpful and tolerant, seeing that we arrived somewhat the worse for wear after a function.” Alex, London |
