I have stayed there a number of times it is beautifully located on the albert dock so its not too far of a distance to liverpool one and any other main city shops. The albert dock has a number of different restaurants on offer as well as ther echo arena which is literally over the dock! Romms in the hotel are brill! spacious and fitted with big TV's with built in fee view! ( i have stayed there a number of times and have yet to find a problem with a room) The staff there are very helpful and always have a smile on there face. The only thing I would say is if you are having breakfast dont leave it till 10mins before they stop serving because the staff are usually quite keen to start taking everything back into the kitchen. I work in a hotel and we would never dream of taking things away untill at least the time given that breakfast is served til! However I should have known better than to go down so close to last service!

Very nice room with a view over the docks at a very reasonable price. Under the circumstances, in that it isn't setting out to be luxury, nothing apart from the two little lifts - which never came - up to reception. As an observation to the management - about which I care nothing because it didn't affect me directly, other than perhaps as a shareholder, there is no security check at breakfast over who is taking the meal. It is completely easy for anyone to walk in off the street, take the lift to the second floor, have as much breakfast as they like and leave. I can't believe that makes commercial sense and it has security implications in terms of general free, unregistered, access to any part of the hotel.

Size of room, length of beds and pillows where all plus points. I would stay again and use your other hotels This is not a complaint because on the whole it was a very good experiance. For the price and location the breakfast was fine, an improvement would be ready made toast and scrap the scrambled eggs as they cannot be kept in good condition successfully they just bring the quality down..

Location, Location, Location! For a city visit to Liverpool this couldn't be bettered; within a short walking distance from many of the "must-see" attractions and close to the bus stop for the "City Explorer" or the service buses. We had a very busy three days and will visit again. The hotel room was spacious, very comfortable and with a view facing on to Albert Dock, great! The buffet breakfast was quite adequate.

Hotel was perfectly situated for our visit to Liverpool. Our room was comfortable and warm. The building is a listed grade 1,which we appreciated, and had been modified to suit the needs of hotel guests without taking away the history oozing from the wonderful old brickwork,Well done to the designers. The hotel staff are a very friendly happy group, who greeted us with a smile every time we went to the desk. Thank-you,we enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again. X Mary and Arne Dawson.

The hotel was lovely very modern and clean with very friendly staff. We arrvied early around 11 and even tho our room was not ready the lady at reception called house keeping to have the room done we went for breakfast and we were in our room before 12noon. Very pleased with my stay in the Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast was terrible. As a young couple i didnt find much to do around the docks or there wasnt much nightlife a few bars and music at night but nothing great but it was only £5 taxi into the centre.

Bed was only a double. I would not recommend this hotel. It was probably the worst hotel we have stayed at in Liverpool - and we are regular visitors. Unfortunately the hotel seems to attract rather undesirable guests which made us feel uncomfortable. Breakfast was very poor. Second day we went elsewhere even though we had already paid to eat at the hotel,

Location was just what we needed, we have already recommended it. The self service breakfast area is very compact, needs to be spread over a slightly larger area.

Check in very easy and checking out good. On leaving we were given a voucher to obtain a reduction in the parking charge at the multi storey car parkwhich was £10 per 24 hour. On arrival we simply parked in the bays opposite the hotel which cost £15.00 per night via a parking meter. It would have been good to have been advised via the website details to park in the multi storey at the reduced cost.

We stayed at this hotel in December, 2 weeks before Christmas and it was very quiet. We actually thought we were the only people in the hotel until breakfast the next morning where we saw a few people. Due to the reception area being on the 2nd floor, if you are staying on any other floor you tend not to see anyone. The building is entered on the Ground level and there is a lift to all floors. You will not get the feeling of staying in a hotel because you do not enter a reception area. We passed lots of hotels in Liverpool with Christmas trees in the reception area and lots of people coming and going and welcoming looking. Unfortunately the Holiday inn Albert Dock is entered via a dark entrance where all you find is a set of lifts.

It was really clean room and its beds were very comfortable. I stayed there in Dec, 2011. My room was really cold and the heater was not working properly. You have to pay for you the internet. It is quite far from any train station which made us use taxis most of the times. The entrance of the hotel does not look right as you have to use the lift to find the Reception. Other than that, it was good hotel compare to its price.

Location and friendly staff Bedrooms start on 2nd floor which is not great if you don't like lifts however we were supposed to be on 4th and they managed to move all three rooms for us - excellent customer service.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel as we went to a concert at the Liverpool Echo Arena and stayed over after the concert rather than travel back on a train late at night. The location was perfect... A two minute walk away from the arena and the hotel was very clean and the staff very polite and friendly. We would certaintly reccommend this hotel.
