My friend and I stayed at this hotel as we went to a concert at the Liverpool Echo Arena and stayed over after the concert rather than travel back on a train late at night. The location was perfect... A two minute walk away from the arena and the hotel was very clean and the staff very polite and friendly. We would certaintly reccommend this hotel.

I have stayed there a number of times it is beautifully located on the albert dock so its not too far of a distance to liverpool one and any other main city shops. The albert dock has a number of different restaurants on offer as well as ther echo arena which is literally over the dock! Romms in the hotel are brill! spacious and fitted with big TV's with built in fee view! ( i have stayed there a number of times and have yet to find a problem with a room) The staff there are very helpful and always have a smile on there face. The only thing I would say is if you are having breakfast dont leave it till 10mins before they stop serving because the staff are usually quite keen to start taking everything back into the kitchen. I work in a hotel and we would never dream of taking things away untill at least the time given that breakfast is served til! However I should have known better than to go down so close to last service!

Very nice room with a view over the docks at a very reasonable price. Under the circumstances, in that it isn't setting out to be luxury, nothing apart from the two little lifts - which never came - up to reception. As an observation to the management - about which I care nothing because it didn't affect me directly, other than perhaps as a shareholder, there is no security check at breakfast over who is taking the meal. It is completely easy for anyone to walk in off the street, take the lift to the second floor, have as much breakfast as they like and leave. I can't believe that makes commercial sense and it has security implications in terms of general free, unregistered, access to any part of the hotel.

Size of room, length of beds and pillows where all plus points. I would stay again and use your other hotels This is not a complaint because on the whole it was a very good experiance. For the price and location the breakfast was fine, an improvement would be ready made toast and scrap the scrambled eggs as they cannot be kept in good condition successfully they just bring the quality down..

Location, Location, Location! For a city visit to Liverpool this couldn't be bettered; within a short walking distance from many of the "must-see" attractions and close to the bus stop for the "City Explorer" or the service buses. We had a very busy three days and will visit again. The hotel room was spacious, very comfortable and with a view facing on to Albert Dock, great! The buffet breakfast was quite adequate.

Check in very easy and checking out good. On leaving we were given a voucher to obtain a reduction in the parking charge at the multi storey car parkwhich was £10 per 24 hour. On arrival we simply parked in the bays opposite the hotel which cost £15.00 per night via a parking meter. It would have been good to have been advised via the website details to park in the multi storey at the reduced cost.

Great Location, clean, comfortable and very good breakfast Tried to charge us £13 extra for our room when we arrived as my debit card had been declined. This has never happened before and talking to other guests there were six other couples who had the same problem ie their card declined and asked to pay "normal" rate of £65 instead of the £52 we had booked at!! We all had the same "problem" an incorrect expiry date on our cards. I think this needs investigating further as it seemed like a scam to the six couples affected. Luckily all was resolved, but I wonder how many others would pay up?? Apart from that blip it was an excellent stay.

Good location If you get a choice do not pay for the breakfast, go elswhere. It is a help yourself affair, which is comprimised of the cheapest poor quality ingredients they could find. The staff were very unhelpful when we pointed they had run out of teabags in the hot drinks area, they just pointed to a spot on the other side of the room and tolds me to get them myself. This meant I lost my place and had to wait in a queue again to get to the hot water again. We had a room at the back of the hotel just above the Beatles experience which has loud music being blasted out until the early evening, so if you want a bit of a kip in the afternoon make sure you get a room at the front.

Good hotel and location but was ruined by other residents in the hotel keeping me and my partner up all night ,due to drunkeness and roudy behaviuor .To me this seem to go un challenged by any member of staff /security. These residents seemed to be visiting football fans over for the Liverpool fixture. Don't think I will be returning challengers a will certainly not recommend Mr Ian Berry

Liked the old part of the building and that our room overlooked the dock. Didn't like that even though breakfast was served until 10.30 at weekends - there was not there was not a lot of food left at 10 am - poor selection.

The position. It is a short walk from the centre of the city and all the sites and shops, bars and places to eat! I thought it was rather ' tired ' looking. It was noisy but maybe that was because of the football match that had taken place over the weekend.

Hotel was perfectly situated for our visit to Liverpool. Our room was comfortable and warm. The building is a listed grade 1,which we appreciated, and had been modified to suit the needs of hotel guests without taking away the history oozing from the wonderful old brickwork,Well done to the designers. The hotel staff are a very friendly happy group, who greeted us with a smile every time we went to the desk. Thank-you,we enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again. X Mary and Arne Dawson.
