Was let down by my lasagne dinner
Good standard of room and facilities
Missed alarm call
good all round
Friendly and helpful staff, sensible lay out of bedroom, free wifi
Staff very friendly & helpful.
The bathroom at room 227 needs renovation you must insert shampoo of good quality
Balal on reception was so obliging courteous & attentive. Couldn't do enough to help us.
Room was very cold & only had a small electric wall heater. It couldn't cope with the size of the room on a cold night!
Hotel was good has all you need , good pub just next door
was meant to be 10mins walk from Birmingham International never 10 mins away. Taxi from station will cost around £8.00 to and from so if event is at NEC stay closer and save money Train to Birmingham City Centre £2.50
Very easy access to NEC Airport, great location with ample car parking space (payable), comfort bed with a good night sleep, good breakfast.
Parking (payable) at Hotel and also had to pay at NEC Parking Space 5 just to escort my daughter to depart back home. Parking around NEC is always expensive!
Clean room friendly staff
Had to rummage around in Breakfast cutlery tray to find clean cutlery on both mornings. Bits of dried food stuck to cutlery very disappointing.
Staff really pleasant and helpful. Breakfast very good, an ideal stop over if you are using the NEC
The quality of the staff was excellent. Simply could not have been more helpful.
Honestly there was nothing to even slightly complain about. Staff were great, room was good value, breakfast was excellent. Totally clean and very well run. I'd definitely stay again when I'm overnighting in the area.
Comfortable & clean.
Holiday Inn Express Birmingham NEC imposes a £7.00 per night parking charge. I thought that this was a very cheeky & sneaky charge to impose as you simply have no choice given the position of the hotel and there is nowhere else you can park. When I challenged it I was quite rudely informed that it was in the small print and I should have seen/read it at the time of booking. The only eatery immediately available outside of the hotel isn't great. I wouldn't consider this hotel again.
Location was excellent for getting to nec
Bed was too soft
Staff brought extra heater and were very nice when I complained about cold room.
Food was not the best at all. Ordered the hamburger. It was dry,no dressing on salad, potato wedges nasty. Breakfast had diluted down baked beans. Please improve the food!
Night staff on Monday excellent
Dirty bed base.flashing fire alarm.reception Monday clueless
The location was just a short walk from the business park. Although the hotel got very busy during the week I was there, the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient with no hold ups.
The heating in the room was a small electric heater that switched off when vacating the room. Therefore some chilly moments in the room on return.
The reception staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were really nice for the price we paid. We were allowed to leave the car in the car park while we attended a show at the NEC (within walking distance). The restaurant next door was very nice. We slept so well that we overlaid and missed breakfast. The reception staff went into the kitchen and got us some cereals and toast before we left. That was really good service.
Very convenient to NEC yet our room was very quiet with no obvious road noise. Good sized room and shower room. Breakfast included in room rate.
We wanted to stay on Saturday and Sunday nights but the room rate for the Saturday night was over twice that of the Sunday night. So reluctantly we went elsewhere on the Saturday.
Location and surprised to get a hot breakfast as booking confirmation said continental
Car park charge now in place as should be waived if staying at the hotel. Room cleaning left a lot to be desired as nothing but the bed touched.
The bar person was rude I waited 20 minutes to be served and she was not busy. Menu was a disgrace and the breakfast was awful I only stayed one of my two nights that I booked
Very friendly helpful staff
Scrambled eggs and sausage could be improved! New staff making up rooms need training quickly
Good Wifi, helpful and nice staff. Got to change room without hesitation or extra charges, because the tap broke.
Started in a disability room and there was some flaws on the walls, and really thin walls
Staff was extramly professional and friendly
