Lack of staff available at 6.30am created bottleneck on the morning I checked out. Also breakfast supposedly started at 6.30 and yet appeared to start earlier - this would have been helpful to know as my check-out morning was rushed when it need not have been

The hotel room

Finding out about the car parking charge. Also finding the hotel was tricky although your instructions were clear.

Clean

The staff wasnt very quick and didnt go the extra mile for the customer. I had to use "Wifi" next to the lobby there was no free wifi provided in the rooms. Twice I had to walk back to my room for something and I thought that was inconvienent. Also there was no morning bus to the NEC for people staying at the Holiday in I was told there would be a shultle bus.

Room clean and comfortable. Staff friendly. When booking it stated continental breakfast and was pleasantly surprised when there was also hot breakfast available at no extra cost.

Residents should not have to pay to park in their car park and their ANPR system should be able to identify residents/no residents vehicles.

Breakfast was good without the usual queueing, selection adequate.

The bed was most uncomfortable, the toilet roll holder was broken and the accessibility of power points in the room was poor

The outside of the hotel was very clean, tidy and presentable. The hotel is in a nice and peaceful location. The reception is modern and welcoming and provides a relaxing bar and restaurant envoirenment. The room was spacious and clean and comfortable. The breakfast selection was nice.

Wasn't impressed with coffee machine, selected latte but black coffee was given.

Very friendly, was able to check in an hour early! Great room, very clean and good breakfast.

The hotel was very modern and clean. The reception staff were helpful and friendly.

The reception and breakfast area were too cold. It was uncomfortable during the evening and at breakfast even though I was wearing a jumper. The hotel is perfect for the NEC however when we returned after the concert , Barrie was a little overwhelmed with the number of people placing orders for food and drink. It took a long time to get served and we considered just going to bed. Considering the location we would have assumed that the hotel would have at least a couple of staff on to deal with the numbers at that time of night as I am sure you could take a lot of money for food and drink.

poor bar service due to only two people been on duty for bar and reception,waiting for breakfast buffetvto be restocked on various foods while queues built up.

Could not fault the hotel, excellent value for money. Spotless rooms, clean bedding and towels, delicious breakfast and friendly, helpful staff.

We went to see Beyonce and the hotel was great location to the arena. Taxis ran all the time. Reception staff were very friendly. Rooms clean, pub at side lovely.

We ordered pizza at the hotel when we got back from the concert which took over an hour to come as did many other peoples. However we complained about this and didn't have to pay.

A bit far from the city center

The room was clean and comfortable We received a friendly welcome Assistance with taxi service Adequate breakfast - could have been warmer!

The room was very cold - not enough heating. When we returned to the hotel at approx midnight, we ordered a pizza and chips from the bar - it took 45 minutes for our food to come - the pizza was burnt, the chips were cold and under cooked and it cost us over £10 for something we could have bought from a supermarket for £5. We didn't complain because there was only one member of staff on at that time, there was a queue of people who were waiting for food (and also annoyed at the waiting time) and it was past 1am!

Nice clean hotel.

Nice clean hotel. Really cold reception and bar/restaurant area. Bad/sloe service and choice of food later at night though after a long concert. It isn't just a 1 mile, five minute walk to the nec it would take 25 minutes and took 5 minutes in a taxi. Also it costs £20 into the city centre by taxi.
