Very nice place with wonderfully helpful lodgers. Free parking, dogs welcome, excellent breakfast (english + buffet), nice, quiet and comfortable rooms. Only a short 10mn walk from High Street.
Very helpful staff, made to think that nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfast, cooked just the way I wanted. Lovely rooms and the whole hotel had lots of character. Will recommend to family and friends.
It was very convenient to leave the car in the hotel parking and walk to the historic town with its numerous attractions.including the cathedral.
The room was very elegant and well furnished with huge sash windows looking out on to a lovely well maintained garden The bathroom was exceptionally clean and the fittings were of a high quality The staff were very friendly and welcoming The breakfast was very nice and there was a good variety of food It was just a 10 minute walk from the city centre
The bar meals were nice but the portions were small and were over priced.
Breakfast Location Well maintained
No lift No Dinner restaurant Not big issues
Wonderful staff and fabulous breakfast, perfect location too! The room was gorgeous with a wow bathroom! Swimming pool was a real bonus
Could have done with more tea bags and milk in the room but the staff gave us more when we asked.
only hotel I stayed in that looks better than pictures and with a very nice character to it
only one person pretty much managing every thing
Large Room Jacuzzi Bath Breakfast - Excellent, freshly cooked. Four Poster Bed
Did not appear to be suitable for Disabled People. No Lift Mattress on our bed did not give enough support, aching back in morning!! (Room 6) Fixed Shower Head.
Appreciated the heritage component of the hotel with its large rooms and high ceilings. Overall the establishment imbued a very pleasant ambiance. Many thanks to the hotel's helpful staff especially with our luggage handling. Delightful breakfast. Cannot fault this hotel.
Hotel completely satisfactory.
The ambience , old charm character and comfort of the hotel.
* No non-smoked bacon available. * TV chanel selection difficult
Pool, Bed, Bar, Friendlyness of staff
A bit far from the city center (15 min walking)
Very clean. Our room was light and airy. Very pleasant staff. Lovely breakfast. Excellent location, about a 10 minute, straight forward walk into Canterbury. Good parking facilities.
Easy parking, short walk into city, excellent breakfast. Wonderful decor! Friendly staff.
very clean large comfortable twin bedded room with newly fitted luxury bathroom which overlooked attractive back garden quality breakfast with well spaced tables feeling of grandeur throughout easy free parking on site
Loved the linen tables and silver ware in the Breakfast room with silver teapots. Huge bathroom, large bedroom. Good location and local map was very helpful.
Sausage wasn't a breakfast sausage, more of a speciality one,too strong.
Close to city centre and with parking. Friendly staff and good size of rooms with lots of natural light.
Wonderful hotel, lovely big and very quiet room, short walk into the centre, sensational garden, swimmingpool, on your way to Dover (just 25 min) in no time - the PERFECT place to stay if you're visiting Canterbury
Hotel was quite close to the centre, had a heated pool, nice garden, very nice breakfast, good shower and comfy bed
Drinks at the bar were a little over priced
Lack of smiles from almost all staff
breakfast was really good and all the staff were really friendly
the evening meal we ordered. the menu stated hot food served all day, I had lasagne and my husband british lamb shepherds pie very very disappointing
The room location in the back of the hotel made for a very quiet stay. The breakfast was excellent. The evening service and food in the bar was very good. The WiFi was adequate and the hotel location was close enough to the Cathedral to walk if you're so inclined.
Having to pack luggage up 40+ steps - and down for dinner, and up, and down for breakfast and up and then down with the luggage.
Very good breakfast, spacious room (at the back, ask for it). A nice terrace in the garden. We were allowed to leave our car at the parking, even after check out, so nice!
About 15 minutes walk to the city center. A pity that the tea facilities were hidden in the closet.
the bed, view on the rear garden
breakfast could have been better (especially the latte)
I liked very much the hotel itself, the room was spacious and very clean and the garden was lovely. Wonderful breakfast and nice meals available, and besides, the staff was almost always very friendly. The location was really good as well, considering that we needed only 15 mins walking to reach the city centre. In my next visit to Canterbury I would definitely book the the Ebury Hotel again, it's been a really nice experience.
Cost of drinks in bar Low ceiling in bathroom Could do with redocoration
