Close to city centre, within walking distance. We had honeymoon room.Only knew it was classed as this due to bed and a picture on the wall. Otherwise could have been any room Cleanliness poor, cobwebs in corner of room and top of four poster bed canopy very dusty. Waiter at breakfast very curt with everyone. |

The staff is friendly, breakfast is good (and dinner in the hotel was also good), we enjoyed the indoor swimming pool, and the hotel is a short walk (ca 10 mins) from the centre. |

Very comfortable, especially for single lady in single room. Would have liked a proper shower. Sandwich in room but old bread, it was late so had to eat it but did not detract from a very nice hotel. |

Hotel was clean, quiet, friendly and relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful and we would certainly stay there again. The only comment I would make, is that there was no vegetarian option for the breakfasts, other than just eggs, or cereals. It would have been nice to have an option of vegetarian sausages and bacon. |

We liked the location and setting. It is a lovely building, clean and sympathetically decorated and the pool and jacuzzi a super addition. I am a vegetarian and was not happy that there was no alternative at breakfast. I had egg both mornings and have to say both scrambled and poached eggs were awful. |

The availability of a heated indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. Noise from the main road - necessitated closing the bedroom windows at night. |

Good car park, close to city centre. Breakfasts good. No bar. One starter at evening meal was advertised as chicken livers and bacon, but there was no bacon. The meal was only average for the money and the service could have been more professional. At breakfast on the second day the gentleman serving us was a little offhand, and seemed unhappy to be there! Radiator not working in bedroom. Decor was "tired", especially in dining room. Towel rail hanging off in bathroom. |

The friendly welcome from all the staff who were without exception efficient and helpful. There is a relaxed atmosphere and the rooms are comfortable without being luxurious. Both breakfast and dinner were freshly cooked and the dinner was extremely good in both content and presentation. |

Being small, the hotel generated an atmosphere of peace and quiet. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Would have liked a bath in our room. |
