It was SUPERB all round. If there was a tiny fault, it would be wonderful if they did evening meal.

The Super King bed and all the little extras provided in the room. Appreciated the sitting room for clients and the 'on trust' bar facilities + use of land line telephone as there was no mobile reception there.

Very friendly people and lovely dog. Excellent service including hot breakfast, even with a village power cut!! Room very comfortable and warm. Extra blanket and hot water bottle in room if needed. Delightful room so clean and warm. Fantastic welcome and lovely food.eggs from own chickens :)

The room was beautifully decorated with lots of lovely extra details. The honesty bar is an excellent idea. Terry and Jane were very friendly and fantastically thoughtful and helpful. Breakfasts superb! The location was perfect for our visit to family but would also work well for those wishing to walk in and explore the Forest of Dean

The owners were very obliging, did everything they could to help us with our family wedding arrangements. The breakfast at Edale was of the highest quality - of a much higher standard then that at Clearwell Castle the following day (wedding venue & much more expensive place to stay). PS CDS taxis are v expensive - £10 for 3 miles!

The wonderful warm welcome and the helpful owners. Super clean rooms, warm and comfortable. Good beds. Tea/coffee making facilities with lots of extras (chocolates, biscuits etc) and fresh milk provided. We were given home made cakes with tea upon arrival (yummy). Breakfast was excellent, nothing too much trouble and good value for money. Will return and recommend.

Nothing really. Shower in our room could have been better but the owners are still renovating and they will probably be upgraded. However, in my mum's room it was very good.

Extremely comfortable bed. Quiet location. Lovely view from our room. Terry and Jane are very friendly.

The standard of accommodation, cleanliness, and presentation was excellent throughout. The breakfast meal was first rate, and the hosts were particularly welcoming and helpful

The outside parking could be better delineated - something that the owner intends to do in the near future

The situation was ideal, being in the centre of the forest. The room was spotless. roomy and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful, lending us maps of the area for walking. The food was great and there was a wide choice for breakfast. This is one of the best B and B's I have stayed at.

There was a warm welcome from Terry and Jane when we arrived. The homemade cake and pot of tea was most welcome on a very hot afternoon. Our room was very well appointed with both a shower room and a separate bedroom. Breakfast was excellent with lovely local eggs, bacon and sausages. We sampled both local pubs for our evening meal but felt that the Woodman, next to Edale house, was better. A lovely restful couple of days.

Just about everything about Edale House was great.The room was very comfortable withlots of thoughtful extras,very clean and well furnished.Jane and Terry are very friendly and helpful,nothing was too much trouble.The breakfast was everything you could possibly want,freshly prepared to order.The best vegetarian breakfast I've ever had.we are hoping to return soon.

It was a pleasure to be trusted with regard to telephone usage, consumption of drinks etc. The breakfast was superb with quality food well prepared. I would certainly make use of Edale House again if visiting the area and would recommend the hotel to others.

A lovely B&B run by a very nice couple. The location is excellent for accessing the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley with most attractions within a half hour drive. The room was in good order and a nice size, and the breakfasts delicious with everything you could want no matter what your tastes. The owners were very helpful, even to late arrivals like us, and had a good knowledge of local attractions to help us choose somewhere to go in the changeable weather we had during our stay.

We were very impressed by the friendly service, nothing was to much trouble. The varity and qualityof food at breakfast was great. catering to all tastes High standard of comfort and cleaniness. Lovely walks nearby. Many attractions for all ages within short drive distance.

Excellent room and breakfast. The charming owners were extremely helpful. I can't remember the last time a hotel helped me with our luggage. The room was fitted with every item one would need including hand/shower gel/cotton bud/hospitality tray/honesty bar .....

Extremely comfortable and clean. Mine Hosts were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Would not hesitate to go there again or to let friends know about Jane and Terry and Edale House. Was also able to take Border Terrier with us - Excellent facilities.

Forgot to request ground floor room, but that was my fault. .

The owners are very welcoming ! We felt at home when we arrived and the room was very comfortable. They have a beautiful garden and the breakfast is delicious. The B&B is perfectly located as it is close to beautiful hiking and cycling routes, and right next to a very good pub. We did not have a car so we found this very convenient. The owners were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay.

Convenience of location, would use again if my son and girlfriend are visiting the area again.
