Quiet location and a very pleasant stop-over off the M6. Very good dinner
The room which was a little small but was very clean and modern. The meals were large and very tasty.
The bar/restaurant staff were a little shabby and lacked enthusiasm, I asked for a quiet room but wasgiven a room right next to the entrance door to my floor and was plagued by children running up and down the stairs and hallway outside my room for hours. I feel for the decor and staff the price for this hotel is way too high.
It was very peaceful and relaxing
The hotel, is perfect, if you want city centre spec stay where you are if you want country life with chickens having a roam and good food with a decent beer and good old natter then book this one you won't be disappointed
WIFI COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
The hotel is in a quiet location with lovely scenery all around, With a large car park. The restaurant was clean with good views out of the windows over the fields and gardens.
There were dogs barking well into the early hours of the morning, The food I felt was over priced for what you get.
Staff. Cleanliness. Breakfast.
Dinner. Poor service at night time.
Friendly staff and good pub standard food
The hotel is in a quiet situation but not too far from the main road. The quantity and quality of the food for the evening meal and breakfast were very good.
The restaurant described itself as "Fine Dining", but the menu was simply pub food, and single-ply paper napkins and poor service were not what we expected. We entered the bar to find staff to take us to our table and both Ladies on duty simply walked straight passed us without acknowledging us at all. Service in the dining room was also very casual with no effort made to ensure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal.
Very friendly and welcoming. Good size bedroom and en-suite, both of which we're clean and attractive. Full English breakfast was particularly lovely.
We arrived late to find that the kitchen had closed and the chef had gone home. The lady who checked us in said we could have a sandwich. That would have been fine but we were then offered a hot meal. The food was excellent and we were impressed that they were prepared to make a meal so late.
Not a lot, staff were friendly and the gardens were nice
The hotel was run down and tired,I could have overlooked that but the breakfast was barely edible, the sausage and bacon was obviously cooked the day before and there was a triangle that was supposed to be fried bread and I was also woken at 5am by the resident cockerel
cooking my own toast in an unfriendly toaster !!
The countryside was beautiful and peaceful. The hotel very comfortable and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Home from home atmosphere.
Breakfast excellent. Bathrooms updated and excellent
Room needed cleaning, no headboards on single beds, no brochure/welcome book in room. TV not tuned in.
The Evening Meal was very poor value for what we paid
friendly staff, very helpful
kitchen smells pervade mcuh of front of house. Pillow were also very hard
Idyllic setting in countryside Amazing food Friendly and helpful staff Relaxing atmosphere Beautiful garden
I have stayed many times at Edenhall, every time I have been made welcome. The staff are very nice, the rooms are excellent and the bar meals are excellent value for money, I am planning on stlieaying at Edenhall for may years to come. Glen & Julie
Great little find, beautiful location and friendly staff. Comfy rooms with all that you need. Close to A66 & M6.
The proprietors were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The food was good and fresh and was good value. It is only about 4 miles from the M6 but it is a world away in the beautiful countryside.
The helpful and friendly staff, The food is home cooked good variety on menu plus special board
Liked hotel and staff
Room I was in a bit tired, loo flush broken and had been for some time it seemed, bit nasty....
Cleanliness, friendliness of staff, breakfast.
Decor was a bit tired, needs updating. Full length curtains in bedroom covered the window radiator!
The staff were very helpful and considerate. This was the second time I stayed at Edenhall, both times for a funeral and the staff were very sympathetic to my feelings.
