Upon arrival my friends and I were greeted most welcoming, Our rooms in the annexe were very comfortable, clean and tidy. Regrettably, after booking our evening meal for 7.00pm, there was a considerable delay between our main course and dessert, up to nearly 1 hour. Whilst we appreciated that there was only 1 of your staff on duty, should we have been going out for the evening, we would have had to leave before completing our meal. |

Whole experience was excellent. Staff members were helpful and able to answer questions i.e. buses to city centre. Did not experience lot of noise as some reviews had stated. Court yard, whilist very pleasent, would benifit from some attention i.e. weeding, grass between cobbles. But this does not detract from the stay at the hotel |

It is a very pleasant place to stay - the single rooms are a bit small but that's no problem. It is clean and spacious and the breakfasts were excellent - freshly cooked. It was an excellent bargain. I hope to stay there again. |

The room and the service at the reception desk. The fact that 2 of the three rooms were not ready when we arrived despite the checkin time being 2pm. One room was still not ready at 2.30. Also the breakfast was far less generous than that I've experienced in many other hotels. |

It was clean and staff were welcoming. Relaxed atmosphere The No food and drinks in rooms policy, as one would have wanted to eat in own room in a relaxed manner. Although coffee facilities were available a glass of wine in the room would have been a joy. |

Our room particularly the bathroom was fantastic - unbeatable value. Bar was well stocked. Proximity to the city was good. There was an element of budget guests booking in at the last minute - in particular a couple in the room next door who booked in at 4am and were ridiculously noisy which quite spoiled our stay.the gardens had an air of neglect |

nothing, staff are horrible, its like a military camp, where in you wont enjoy your stay from the minute u walk in, staff are very horrible. unapproachable. room too small. its like u are in a dormitory that you are not even allowed to take your guest to your room even for 5 minutes, food expensively tasteless, main door is being closed all the time that u have to ring the bell everytime u come in, no freedom, the photos of the hotel doesn"t look like thesame in reality, its like they took photos of another building. |

Convenient for town & shopping, room small but comfortable enough. Lounge area & courtyard were nice, accessible & again, comfortable. The room was above the kitchen, the bathroom smelled of breakfast and/or dinner. The food was bland, dinner was expensive...and very bland! We ate out on the second night. |

Stayed in a 3 bed room - recently refurbished - spacious, airy, clean. Ample car parking with CCTV and gates locked after 11 p.m. Good bar and restaurant serving sumptious breakfast and tasty meals at reasonable prices. Nice courtyard off the bar. Location was ideal for bus connections to and from city centre (about 2 miles). Good choice of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. |

1. The waitress at breakfast was very friendly and helpful. 2. The location. 3. Having booked a family room I was expecting 1 room but we actually had 2 separate rooms and a large bathroom, 1. The amount of dust/cobwebs 2. The tv didn't work properly although to be fair they did try to fix it but unsuccessfully. 3. The blind in the main bedroom was held up by tying the cords round the curtain tie back. |

Helpfullness of reception staff. Good car parking. Clean, bright and refurbished reception areas/ bar and lounge. Modern decor yet sympathetic to older features- beautiful ceilings and fireplaces. Nice courtyard area. We stayed in the annexe! Curtains in room needed attention to close properly- duty staff arrived. Broken lampshade- in poor repair. |

I thought the hotel staff were excellent and so friendly. We stayed in room 403 which was spotless clean, lovely decor and up to date. Bathroom was simple with a nice shower and had soap and shampoo on hand and a hairdryer in room too. Freeview TV with hot beverages included. |
