Comfortable accomodation, good breakfast and good access to Edgbaston cricket ground. The shower water was scalding and I could not adjust it. Needed hotel staff to come in and fix it.

The choice of vegetarian meals was good,as a vegetarian I have to say that the veg lasagne I had for an evening meal was the best I have ever had, and plenty of it, they had a very good cook there, all the meals served were excellent.Plenty of choice and the scrambled eggs I had at breakfast were done to perfection. The parking outside was ample. The staff were very polite and helpful and nothing was too much for them. They let us leave our car in the hotel car park for a few hours after we booked out, as we wanted to go up town before going home.I would definately stay here again. Would have liked to have breakfast a bit later than 9 am deadline however not a major problem.

Location and facilities for a one night stay with breakfast. Room was spacious and clean. It appeared newly decorated. Breakfast was good and staff friendly and efficient Car park at rear was locked from 10pm and we were not made aware of this.

Really good value for money - comfortable, pleasant and rooms pretty well appointed given rate paid (£45 per room) Had some chaps staying who were noisy (stag do?) that disrupted my sleep a little. That said, I have stayed there before and not had similar problems so assume it was a one-off

The family room was huge, certainly plenty of space. Rooms were clean and well presented. Majority of the staff were helpful especially Ashley - who was friendly, pleasant and made a point of talking to the children. There was wires on show behind the sink in the bathroom which is not very good to say it was a family room It wasn't made very clear that you had to order your meals at the bar when you went to eat in the restaurant area. Breakfast wasn't included in the overnight rate - not the best value for money.

The bar and restaurant was great with plenty of screens to watch the football. Reception staff prompt and very helpful. We overslept and were very late checking out however they didn't charge us which we half expected them to do. The rooms were a little bare. Only a bedside table on one side of the bed and the double was 2 twins pushed together so we kept slipping down the gap! Tv tiny couldn't see it from the bed, no toiletries available even for purchase.

The hotel was lovely, staff were exceptionally friendly. Hotel was clean and despite being renovated and on a main road was quiet (which helps when your 9 months pregnant and have trouble sleeping!!) Would definitely recommend to others and possibly stay again if in the area.

It was very quiet which was good, the staff were very friendly and helpful The older part of the building was tired, the room was quiet small.. Less furniture in the bar would have made it more comfortable.

Refurbished so well decorated & good furniture, new bathroom suite. Good sized room & bathroom. Changed my room immediately when curtain/blind didn't work. Very clean with sufficient towels. Efficient heating & lots of hot water. Helpful staff who noticed & acted on my requirements. Enough sockets for my equipment. Lots of car parking spaces. Bed comfortable. Smell of paint & poorly finished paintwork but very difficult to open window to air the room. Window also difficult to open in room they moved me to so couldn't get fresh air. Walls paper thin - could hear tv in next door room unitl 2.00 am when guest switched off. Breakfast not included & expensive for a continental breakfast. Shower very feeble - surprising given they'd just fitted a new bathroom, why not have an effective shower?

Great helpful staff and nice bar area. Room was quirky (a small lounge area with the bedroom above) and clean, nice bathroom.. Just needed a bit of a paint touch up in the hallways. Well worth the money.

I stayed here for two nights as I work in Birmingham and live in Leicester. I usually commute by car but this is currently untenable due to volume of traffic and time taken. I found it convenient, clean, friendly and safe. The atmosphere is nice. The food was surprisingly good for a hotel. It offered everything I needed. Excellent value for money. Keep it up! Nothing really. A bigger room and posher bathroom perhaps, but wouldn't really expect it for the money. Oh, and I had to leave before my paper arrived on my last morning! - but probably not the staff's fault. No real complaints.

The hotel is situated in the very leafy suburb of Birmingham with access to the many great local amenities nearby. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and very hospitable and the overall standards of the hotel were excellent. I woould definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
