Recently re fitted rooms, very good value. Good location. Quiet. Good parking. Friendly and efficient. Beds were very narrow. Breakfast was a little slow in arriving and could have been hotter |

Easy to find location. Excellent price. Very good breakfast included in the rate. Surprisingly quiet for such a busy road. Internal noise can travel inside the building. |

The hotel absolutely topped my expectations. Really good value for money. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food (I tried the homemade curry) was tasty. The hotel is a bit afar from the city centre, but there are several bus lines that stop right in front of the hotel. You should try to get a room to the backside of the hotel because there is a lot of traffic on hagley road. The water pressure of the shower could be a bit higher. |

The room was comfortable for a short stay and it was a convenient location. We had a room at the front of the hotel and the road is noisy with traffic. It was fine as we kept the window shut but in summer I think the noise would be annoying. |

It was comfortable and the breakfast really good. The atmosphere in the pub for watching sports and eat was busy but nice. The service always very warm. The hotel was cosy and oldfasioned and stylish. The mattress of the doubble bed was not very comfortable. I could feel the springs on my back. |

nice and quite yes I asked to check in 1 hour early, when I arrived at the hotel no rooms where ready not even one, if check out is at 11 you would expect one room to be ready atleast, I was told it would be ready in 10mins I went back after 10mins and was told itsnot ready yet, and to come back in 10mins when I did again I was told its not ready, so I checked in at 2 in the end. I know check in time is at 14:00 but sometimes exceptions can be made by the hotel as other hotels do. |

Clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and well prepared bar food, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Window in bedroom had a broken latch and remained open all night; despite wifi being advertised, it was not available in my room and could only be accessed from the bar. |

We stayed in the "annexe" (basically another hotel next door) - furniture was cheap and mismatched, carpet was dirty and tired, curtains were badly hung and let in light, an odd piece of wood was nailed across the window and room was cold when we got there, heating only came on after 7pm. Breakfast was cheap ingredients and served without a smile. It may be possible as it was the annexe its waiting to be refurbed as main hotel looked quite nice. |

Size of room - it was big. in fact, it was a 2 bedroom apartment in a sister hotel, next door. Needed new decor though, and was not everso welcoming. Friendly staff. Good location. Strange draconian rules like "no visitors in your room" "Instant £50 fine if found smoking in room", and being made to pay in full for the room up front. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was adequate. More rules though - you were told where and where not to sit. I was a bit disappointed in this hotel as I'd read some great reviews, and my experience did not match up to them |

Arriving at the hotel late in the evening, the welcome was good, the member of staff was polite and helpful and gave me directions to a restaurant. Later on the bar was open and he was knowledgable about his malt whiskies. Good company. The single room (although small) was exceptionally comfortable and contained everything that one needed. The ambiance of the hotel was relaxed and friendly. When I return to Birmingham and are looking for accomodation it will be my first call. Not applicable, there was nothing at all that I did not like about the hotel |
