Poor standard of food staff hoovering at one in morning Noisy guests at early morning
Wifi was not connecting at all.
Everything was very comfortable
Staff - that "receptionist " treated us like we just joined the army! His Army!
Quiet surrounding, wasn't too busy, little garden outside seemed to be ok. Especially for smokers!
Position of hotel
Showers are really poor, need a larger shower head and more pressure
Bar is great
Not allowed food or drink in the rooms and the wifi was slow.
Big room, large comfy bed and plenty of parking
When we arrive tired and hungry we were told therecwas a party of 20 in the restaurant so if we wanted dinner we would have to eat it in the bar at a coffee table. Not an option with my 82 year old mother with mobility issues. Eventually they allowed us to eat in the breakfast room which was fine. I don't know why it took an hour to make that decision. It spoilt an otherwise pleasant stay
The staff were friendly The room was adequate It was quiet
would prefer not to have to cross courtyard in the rain
Close to City Centre / Broad Street (£5 taxi)
Always stay here when I need to stay over in Birmingham, clean and welcoming, good bar, nice room, friendly staff, great value!
internet was very weak and I kept loosing signal on my iPad in my room, other than that very happy.
Nice room for a couple of days, had everything I needed.
1930's decor -Boiler kicking in all night making sleep impossible-Unhelpful staff- Radiator in the room broken-cold.
Bit tired in places
Friendly helpful staff and good atmosphere in bar.
hotel building poor, tired décor. needs a major revamp..... bedroom décor tired .
Staff were unpleasant and very unhelpful!
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Breakfast for £8 was not good at all...
Room was ok, staff pleasant enough. Bar food in the evening was of a good standard.
Bath/shower could do with handrails - very difficult to get in and out for the more elderly.
Staff were helpful. It was clean and functional, though slightly 'faded'. Wonderful panelling in the dining room.
plenty of tea bags coffee hot Chocolate cappuccino and biscuits replenished daily in room
The location and the room was beautiful! Staff welcoming.
Strange layout, had to go out hotel to get back in again, ok if it's not raining!!
Our week end break was qick and our stay came to an end.
It was comfortable, homely and relaxing. The food was sososososo good.
Wifi not functional, also best to order breakfast online instead of paying at the hotel as its two different prices which they didn't advertise via booking.com I wasn't pleased about that misleading information. Mushrooms was horrible (from the tin, for English breakfast, I hate wastage).
The bar has a good variety of spirits/drinks. The hotel was a little better than I imagined.
Quality of room poor - sink overflow ran onto floor, shower curtain didn't fit, room blinds and curtains poorly maintained.
Friendly and helpful reception staff.
