Easy to get settled in when checking in. Room fairly clean . Ideal location . Staff friendly . Wifi didn't work . But overall comfortable and would stay again
The price The location The privacy of my own room and bathroom (as opposed to a hostel) The TV in the room No charge for depositing suitcases in case you arrive earlier, as it was my case :)
The heating goes off at night, so when I woke up the room was freezing!! The room and bathroom felt clean, but I don't know how thoroughly, there was an empty bottle beneath the bed, and the kettle had a lot of dust gathered. I felt a little selfconscious.
The hotel was mostly pleasant, the room had a nice en suite bathroom but was let down by certain things. I'd consider staying there again if these things were sorted.
The room just wasn't very clean, there were noticeable stains on the bedsheets, the heating also didn't seem to work (it was freezing) despite asking at reception for it to be checked. We also paid for a late checkout which we didn't get.
Nice size single room with double bed and plenty towels provided and they also provided soap and shower gel Good powerful shower :-) About 15 walk to city centre although there is good bus service to city centre.
Poor Welcome for a start not told where your room is and i was having to ask what floor my room was, Plus not a say in I hope you enjoy your stay etc constant banging of main door which I was right above. On checking out at 10am Reception not open and i had to give to cleaning lady and i also made complaint.
It had everything needed for a quick night stay - bed, bathroom, wifi, etc. I'm not very demanding so it was OK for me.
The window when closed still let some wind inside the room, and breakfast was able only till 8:30 or something like that (I don't remember the exact time, but it was really early).
Close to family we were visiting good bus service
People banging doors and talking in middle of night
Nice staff cheap and cheerful hotel
The bed was confortable and the temperature in the room was fine. Tea and coffee in the room for free.
The room was so tiny we couldn't open the door fully. Full of dust in the floor. We were two people in the room and we could barely move. Way too expensive for the service they provide. Very noisy at night as it looks like a hostel. If i wanted an hostel i would have booked one cheaper and closer to the city center.
Easy to park and a short walk to the city center
Walls were thin and I could hear next door talking but it wasn't keeping me awake so it was ok
Considering the amount that my girlfriend and I paid, we were very impressed with the room, which was warm, had ample space (enough for a family) and was very comfortable, with stylish, modern en-suite bathroom (toilet, shower and sink) facilities. Tucked away in the basement, it was very quiet, with the only sound being that of an occasional passing car. We were very pleased with the good-sized flat-screen TV, as well as the kettle and coffee/tea making facilities in the room. The decked area in the garden was also a plus.Considering everything, we would definitely stay there again!
When we arrived, it was quite late and we had to wait a while before we could check-in, as the receptionist was busy on the phone. However, this is only a minor point and when she realised that time was getting on, she got things sorted.
The rooms were good size and modern
Decor in landing a bit out dated
The room was big with three beds. The shower is really good just what you need after a long day in Edinburgh.
My room was on the ground floor and I could hear all noise coming from the reception and their phone during the night.
The room was so large with 2 single and 1 double beds. The view was a cute garden. The room and the bathroom was so clean as well. Because it is cheaper than others, I was nervous a little bit, yet since I saw the room I have relaxed. I strongly recommend!!!
It might be better if the heater works all the night. So that people does not feel cold when they wake up! ;)
We had a large room with a very nice clean shower/bathroom. The problem we had with our TV was quickly sorted. We had fresh towels and bedding daily and good tea/coffee facilities. A hairdryer was given on request.
The bed creaked on every movement. The heating seemed to be on overnight but at least it was warm with a large bay window letting out heat. The reception was located where we ate breakfast which felt awkward (being watched eating). There needed to be more selection at breakfast, more cereals and perhaps herbal teas. A cooked breakfast option would have been nice.
The room was clean. Bathroom was also clean. Great location.
great location and good facilities
staff is unfriendly (all of them!) and very unhelpful
The location and helpfull staff. Cleanliness.
Walking distance from city centre. Clean, comfortable room, en suite.
Small room with pretty much everything I need. Nice moon roof.
The walls are a little bit thin. It can get noisy sometimes when people in other rooms talk.
The bed, the shower and the cleanless.
Small room, location, price of the breakfast, too much noise.
Good location and value for money. Room was clean and comfortable. Fine for a bed for the night.
the room and facilities are helpful
Wi-fi has to be charged
Plenty of street parking in a quiet area. The room was clean enough and the shower seemed recently done up. A pleasant enough place to stay as long as your fellow guests are respectful of the fact that they are not in their own homes and the world doesn't revolve around them.
The Wifi was very weak. The walls are very thin and we could easily here the people in the next room, especially in the bathroom. Also, the occupant next door arrived back after 1am drunk, shouting loudly, knocking things over and finally crying out in the hallway. I would have expected someone to come to sort her out, throw her out if necessary. In the morning we then got to listen to her throwing up, which was some consolation I suppose!
size of wardrobe far too small
near to local amenities, and cleanliness of rooms
