Plenty of car parking. Very quiet reception area. Ugly thick sliced bread used on a club sandwich with no crusts removed. Breakfast layout in my opinion not good compared with foreign hotels and the food on the 'hot cooked bar' was in fact rather cold. |

The bed and linen was perfect for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was superb and the staff were very friendly. Great value for money compared to city centre hotels. Although this hotel is a 30 minute bus ride to Edinburgh City Centre, there are plentiful buses passing just outside the hotel which operate 24 hours a day. |

Very friendly and helpful staff - without exception. The room was airless, the bed uncomfortable. The promised internet connection did not work. |

This is a traditional style, dark-wood and warm-colours kind of hotel, and everything about it says "welcoming and comfortable!" In capital letters! The beds are heavenly. Moreover, this is the first hotel I've stayed at in Edinburgh recently (4 one-night stays in 6 weeks) where the staff were exceptionally good. In fact they were absolutely fantastic, all evidently handpicked to suit the hospitality industry. They were young, smart, polite and professional. It was apparent that this hotel attracted a great deal of international guests, and I was relieved, as a Scottish person, that they could only be highly impressed by these ambassadors for the Scottish tourist industry. I would certainly choose to stay at this hotel again, even if it meant having to shower in the slightly old fashioned bathroom with the bath/shower curtain combination. I know it has been recently refurbished, but next time around perhaps they should go for the more modern and hygienic shower partition panel. |

The Marriott is conveniently located close to both the Airport and the City, it is serviced by excellent cheap public transport links which make the use of this hotel all the more affordable and easier. Check in was quick and easy, the rooms were very nice, clean and airy, with a nice sized bathroom. The in room amenities were plentiful and there was a good selection of Television & Radio channels. The health suite whilst quite small was very functional with a large swimming pool and jacuzzi. The only meal we ate at the hotel was breakfast (included in the package) and this was excellent, the food was of very good quality, fresh and hot, I loved the haggis! I will definitely be using this hotel the next time I travel to Edinburgh. |

the staff were friendly and the room was very clean. the health suite was clean and you didnt have to book into the health suite when we got back to the hotel we went for a drink and the amount was put onto a bill sent to the room the next morning, we would have prefered to pay cash then and there. |

The proximity to the road network Despite a recent upgrade, the television reception was as poor as it was 3 years ago. |

the room was very modern and comfortable. There was no bar for residents which I find very strange. For a drink we had to go to our room order room service to serve us in the bar/reception area- very inconvenient. |

Found the hotel to be very comfortable, good value luxury. Got a great deal with 3rd night free, would not have stayed at hotel in this price range if had not been for the deal. We had b and b rate and although the breakfast was very good, every morning we had to chase waiters to just get a cup of tea or coffee,on the last morning had to ask twice before recieving a drink, spoilt the otherwise great service. |
