I liked that I had a private room. The bathroom was very clean for a share bathroom. The price was good and the added convenience of a kitchen.
Eddie (I hope I remember his name correctly) a member of the staff was really helpful!
The location and facilities are ideal for those who want to stay in Edinburgh for a few days.
I think the check-in and check-out time should be adjusted to accommodate the guests. It would be better if the check in time would be at 13:00 or 14:00 and the check out time at 11:00 or 12:00.
Very central location, rooms of a pretty good standard.
The mattress was awful - I could feel every spring and it creaked a lot, as did almost every floor board. Not great when neighbours came in late.
Location Staff Room Size Many Power Sockets
Bath Tub was Sticky Except for the location, poor value for money
I liked the position of the hostel, essential equipment in the room - an ideal place for one or two nights...
Nothing comes to my mind.
Single room hostel give privacy, value for money.
Very hard to locate the hostel from station, hidden further from The Royal Mile and station. Why can' just tell the direction is the small way on right opposite Holiday Inn Express. No connection to the free Wifi. Check in time too late at 4pm.
Room was so cheap and comfortable, with a desk, lamp and good sized floor space. I can't believe I got a private room for the price. The bathroom was clean and usually vacant, the kitchen was spotless, and the other guests were quiet. Wifi was perfect too, with a handy Tesco nearby and Aldi & Sainsburys on the same road
When I tried to rebook to stay a week or two later, the prices had doubled - so my Scottish bolt hole was suddenly out of my price range and I stayed somewhere else. Also, a £5 deposit is requested at check in, which means going to the Tesco ATM up the road and withdrawing Scottish money.
There was wifi, a kitchen and comfortable beds. Excellent, thank you!
Our flat was on the 9th floor so it was quite a climb.
The price! Too expensive for what you get.
the bed was very comfortable
the floor was very noisy when people walking
The kitchen was very cute and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was cool!
I didn't like that I had to pay for the towels. In the bathroom there wasn't soap and carpet to go out of the shower
The bed was comfortable and sheets very clean. Having my own room in a all female dorm. It's very quite surprisingly as my window faced a main road Staff available until late
Carpet in the room was dirty and brings a smell. Bring flip flops! Check in and out times, very late check in and very early check out. Although they look after your bags.
Friendly. Fantastic position. Small flat layout= fewer strangers to negotiate.
Noise! Bloke in our supposedly all female flat! -Too easy to sneak in extra unpaying guests
Location Cleanliness Cotton bedclothes
A lift would have been nice. I was on 5th floor and have a bit of angina. But I had been warned by means of introductory notes.
Very basic bathroom I found the bed uncomfortable, but I do have a back problem. I don't think this would be an issue for younger people.
staff, location, room, price: all good.
the mattress was the worst I've slept on in my life, but luckily I have no back problems.
Location Communal space Cooking facilities
Can be a bit noisy. Kitchen not especially well equipped - no saucepan.
very central and good for cheap weekend
facilities pretty basic
Accueil et disponibilité des hôtes
Everything. Would definitely go back.
helpful, friendly staff
