Edinburgh Pearl Apartments - Lochrin Place  

Apartment was a good size with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It also had a well fitted and modern kitchen with reasonably new appliances. Importantly it also had a washer/dryer which allowed us to do about three loads. Well located to restaraunts and main attractions

Car park levy was a bit stiff given car park is part of complex. Building works nearby created a bit of early morning noise.

Location was perfect for my needs, great parking and accessibility.

New apartment with all necessary facilities. Close to major tourist attractions and the university.

Balcony needed a bit of a clean to remove cigarette butts.

Free secure parking underground, Value for money especially booking last minute as the price dropped, free view tv, modern and clean. Enough towels and toilet roll supplied an the heating worked great. There was all the necessary amenities for kitchen I.e washing up liquid, tea bags, sugar, etc.

You Have to take your own bin outside when leaving (my dad didnt mind but I hate doing this chore) Toilet seat in main bathroom wasnt fitted correctly or was of poor quality, felt like if u put all your weight on would break! but these are really minor issues and would not affect my choice to stay here again. Just as feedback to management

Beautiful flat, quiet and staff v responsive to issues that arose. Free parking is excellent and the area round about is interesting.

Prefer to pick keys up at reception and were nervous about this but it worked out ok, staff want to do a good job.

some light bulbs need replaced. but there was nothing i didnt like about this apartment.

We stayed the for 3 nights, but still that is not enough. we feel like at our home. Highly recommend to other travelers.

The apartments were a little overpriced as two of the beds were fold out beds

Very accommodating. The owner/manager met us on arrival and personally let us in and showed us around the apartment before leaving. Great service and much appreciated after our train journey.

Wi Fi was not consistent but we managed to work with it. Not being used to turning on central heating at the boiler, it took a little time to work out but we did and it was great.

I recieved a call en route to Edinburgh from the apt company to confirm my arrival etc and on arrival I was met by a friendly rep who showed me around the building and how everything worked etc. the apt was close to the venues for my business meetings and the City centre. The apt was warm, clean and the spa bath was good after my running at night. Free secure underground parking

Minor points - the curtain rail in living room needs repaired and halogen bulbs replacing in the kitchen area, they were in the cupboard but not fitted. The free wifi works but is very slow.

Great value, large and great facilities. Wifi is slow and double bed mattress needs replacing but all in all, fantastic place to stay.

Situated in the West End of Edinburgh - approx 15 min walk to the start of Princes Street. Good location and a really nice, spacious, apartment. Private parking is a bonus. We've been twice now - kids already want to go back in 2013. Surprising quiet from the other apartments - only noise we heard was city life.

Very minor points. One of the loo seats had seen better days and needs replacing but that's about it.

It has easy access to the main areas of the city. friendly staff, the apartment was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean, well stocked with utensils if you wished to cook for yourself. It lived up to its description. Would definately recommend it and would stay there again.

The location was good and the apartment was nice. Had free wifi and lots of room. . Great value however.

Beds weren't the comfiest. Had a terrace that was treacherously slipped

The location is close enough to walk to shopping and to the castle. Quiet location and a 10 minute cab ride from the train station.

The beds are not the most comfortable. They could stand to be replaced. The kitchen was well equipped except for a coffee maker. We bought a coffee press but it would be nice if it had been supplied.

Great location and easy to get into and out of the centre of the city with local bus services 2 minute walk from apartment. Nice clean property with great view of the castle. Very spacious and well equipped.

We felt that the appartment needed a bit of maintenance throughout. Unable to fill bath as plug failed to hold water, extractor fans in both toilets failed to function, balcony to the rear of the property was extremely slippery due to moss/algae. Both children fell on it. Curtain rail in livingroom needing repaired as difficulty in drawing curtains. Settee was a nightmare. Large L shaped settee made up of about 7 individual seats which pushed together. When trying to lie back and relax if you were on a joint due to the laminate floor the seats would seperate, so spent most of the time trying not to fall between the seats. No baking trays available when using oven.

Very nice apartment,the best holiday accommodation we had!love the powerful shower & comfy beds. Free car park is a big bonus too. Location is great,walking distance to most attractions & lots of places to eat nearby. Highly recommended!

Clean and very well presented and a lack of notices telling you what not to do etc. Well equiped with comfortable lounge / dining furniture

Nothing that we really did not like but here are some suggestions to pass on to the owner:- Some basic labels for things like bathroom extractor fan switch Replacement bulbs or bulbs checked regularly The double mattress needs replacing with a firm orthopaedic style. (Firmer mattresses last longer and the current one has a huge dip in the middle!)

The location was good for the festival, within walking distance (20-30mins) of the city and the festival venues (or 5-7quid) by taxi. The apartment was clean and ideal for a family stay. The parking was great with a private secure underground car park. There was a good supermarket within 1 minute of the apartment. The beds were comfy and the sheets and linen were clean and fresh.

The washing/drying machine was a bit antiquated and the dryer was not very powerful, in the end we dried our clothes overnight on the radiators.
