Two hours driving around to find the office and no answer on the number we were to ring for details led us to contact Booking.com who gave us another (updated) number. Disinterested owner advised that the old details were given to us and that they had moved offices months before.Student accommodation rented as a holiday apartment. Much too expensive for this sparsely furnished flat with just a four piece dinner service, a few glasses and a couple of pots in the kitchen (not even a frying pan). Brown lampshades, brown curtains and brown walls meant reading was impossible. There was even a police warning in the flat that residents would be evicted if there was too much noise! Laminate floors with no rugs meant tiptoeing around to avoid clattering on the floor with shoes (floor too dirty to take shoes off). Had to clean the cooker before use too. A single towel each and one pillow to each bed with a double duvet on a king size bed. This was our worst Edinburgh experience to date.

It's an apartment, so very spacious. Its good to have a kitchen and we cooked on the second night and had a wonderful meal. The staff never showed up. Just text you a message on the day of your arrival to give you clues to find the key. And you return the key to the keybox upon your check-out. Interesting but also a little bit strange.

It was a quiet, comfortable apartment within 15 minutes walk of Waverley Station/Princes Street. Plenty of eating places and some basic shops within a 5 minute walk. The apartment was large (3 double bedrooms, one ensuite, large kitchen/diner and large sitting room) and well equipped. The bedrooms were crammed with beds, presumably a feature of its use during the Festival but creating an unnecessary feeling of overcrowding. Being a ground floor flat, it could do with net curtains in the windows unless you are happy being on view to the public. To be fair, though, the flat is in a quiet development with convenient parking provided you get a parking permit. Although we had asked through Booking.com and phoned the local office the day before, the promised permit was not there when we arrived. However after a quick phone call the local office soon delivered the permit.

The apartment is laid out nicely and value for money when staying over in Edinburgh for a quick stay, but it had it's down side too... The appartment wasn't really very clean. It looked like someone already slept in my bed before me. Also, we had no warm water for our whole stay. We tried fixing the geyser and see if all the settings were right but we showered in cold water for our whole stay. And the owners of the Edinburgh Playhouse appartments are faceless people. They only arrange with you over email and phone...No personal service

It was close to the city centre and my office. It was clean and in a good area. I was not informed that the cot will not have any bedding. It would also been good to have a manual with recommended take aways, tourist information and more information on check out procedures.

We liked the location very much, the comfort and the space. Travelling as a family, in this case grandparents with daughter and grandchild of 2 years, old it was very convieniant. Walkingdistance to everything in the city was perfect. In one of the bathrooms the shower was hanged up and couldn´t be removed for use.

The apartment was really spacious, modern and clean. There was a problem with the apartment door and it was attended to and fixed straight away. Even though there were cooking facilities there were little things in the kitchen that were missing that made it inconvenient. There were no trays in the oven which made it hard to cook food awasnt a lot of pans. Other small inconveniences were the remote for the telly wasnt in full working order and there were light bulbs missing in the living room.

Plenty of space for a family The main reason we stayed here was to be able to wash and dry our clothes before our trip to Hong Kong. After we had washed our clothes we discovered that the dryer did not work and there were no instructions - so we had to pack wet clothes into our suitcases! The king sized bed only had a queen sized doona, so I was cold all night.

It was a very nice 2 bed furnished apartment with a fully functional kitchen. Rooms were comfortable and we didn't have any issues. Private parking was also available which was very convenient. There is no reception at the location so getting in is a little tricky. I had to call the guys, who then guided me to collect keys from a closer location and then go to apartment which was in another place(though close by).

The apartment is big enough for four person like us, full equipped kitchen, two bed rooms with comfort beds, well designed living room... All suit us a lot and we are happy with our stay. We arrived early in the morning and gratefully the contact person allowed us to check in earlier, that's really great! A bit far from the downtown, about 10 mins walk.

Location of the apartments was excellent. Cleanliness of the room. Upon arrival - the rooms had not been cleaned and the cleaning team were on the point of arriving, just as we were. In one of the apartments there was no hot water - for both nights and it also had a foul smell. No idea what the smell was. We did complain re the hot water - but nothing was done to remedy the problem.

Location and was a good sized apartment Some of the doors were bashed in when I arrived and there was not a full set of cutlery and crockery. A family would struggle to have a meal with a glass of wine each.

Apartment was good and fair close to amenities. I only drawback I would say is the check in process . You have to collect keys from one location and then go to another location for your apartment. But to be on fair side I had to walk for less then 5 minutes.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The apartment was spacious, much larger than expected. The kitchen was a good standard. We would have preferred not to be ground level. The standard could have been improved such as better carpet and flooring rather than linoleum. The lighting could have been better, more ambiant, with more working side lights. More towels wpuld have been useful as well as clothes hangers. The pillows were flat, so a better quality would have been useful.

Choose this appartment so we could visit Edinburgh city centre and the Fringe festival. We only used it as a base for the nights. On that score it was ideal.

Clean, spacious accommodation in good location ( quiet and safe neighbourhood within easy access by foot or bus to central Edinburgh attractions) The apartment needed a few extras - such as coathangers, coat hooks , a kitchen tea towel, an extra pillow and towel - these were rationed to one per person - and the option of a few basics in the kitchen ( milk, bread) to make it a more comfortable stay.

The apartment was very clean & modern. The staff on the end of the phone were extreamly helpful when we got lost on the way to pick up the key and were happy to help with any other problems including loosing our parking pass. Thank you very much ! :) Only comment to make would be the stairs up to the top floor apartment. We are two 20 year old girls, with heavy suitcases, it was a pain to carry them up, also when we came in after a drink it became a challenge but that is my only complaint.

Very large 2 bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. Right next to Leight Walk with restaurants and shops, and about 5 minutes walk to Princes Street. The only thing that was wrong, was that the wifi didn't work, but they claimed that was because the net was down. Couldn't get dvd player to work either, but that was probably us - we didn't try very hard.
