The apartments were clean and well furnished. We only had two issues, the size of the quilt in the main bedroom was a double yet the beds were two singles pushed together and so was too small. If you are self catering take ready meals as the kitchen is not well stocked with cooking utensils and the provision of cutlery and plates is not generous. We had three table knives between the four of us

We liked the location very much, the comfort and the space. Travelling as a family, in this case grandparents with daughter and grandchild of 2 years, old it was very convieniant. Walkingdistance to everything in the city was perfect. In one of the bathrooms the shower was hanged up and couldn´t be removed for use.

The apartment was really spacious, modern and clean. There was a problem with the apartment door and it was attended to and fixed straight away. Even though there were cooking facilities there were little things in the kitchen that were missing that made it inconvenient. There were no trays in the oven which made it hard to cook food awasnt a lot of pans. Other small inconveniences were the remote for the telly wasnt in full working order and there were light bulbs missing in the living room.

Plenty of space for a family The main reason we stayed here was to be able to wash and dry our clothes before our trip to Hong Kong. After we had washed our clothes we discovered that the dryer did not work and there were no instructions - so we had to pack wet clothes into our suitcases! The king sized bed only had a queen sized doona, so I was cold all night.

The apartment is big enough for four person like us, full equipped kitchen, two bed rooms with comfort beds, well designed living room... All suit us a lot and we are happy with our stay. We arrived early in the morning and gratefully the contact person allowed us to check in earlier, that's really great! A bit far from the downtown, about 10 mins walk.

Location of the apartments was excellent. Cleanliness of the room. Upon arrival - the rooms had not been cleaned and the cleaning team were on the point of arriving, just as we were. In one of the apartments there was no hot water - for both nights and it also had a foul smell. No idea what the smell was. We did complain re the hot water - but nothing was done to remedy the problem.

Choose this appartment so we could visit Edinburgh city centre and the Fringe festival. We only used it as a base for the nights. On that score it was ideal.

Clean, spacious accommodation in good location ( quiet and safe neighbourhood within easy access by foot or bus to central Edinburgh attractions) The apartment needed a few extras - such as coathangers, coat hooks , a kitchen tea towel, an extra pillow and towel - these were rationed to one per person - and the option of a few basics in the kitchen ( milk, bread) to make it a more comfortable stay.

The apartment was very clean & modern. The staff on the end of the phone were extreamly helpful when we got lost on the way to pick up the key and were happy to help with any other problems including loosing our parking pass. Thank you very much ! :) Only comment to make would be the stairs up to the top floor apartment. We are two 20 year old girls, with heavy suitcases, it was a pain to carry them up, also when we came in after a drink it became a challenge but that is my only complaint.

Very large 2 bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. Right next to Leight Walk with restaurants and shops, and about 5 minutes walk to Princes Street. The only thing that was wrong, was that the wifi didn't work, but they claimed that was because the net was down. Couldn't get dvd player to work either, but that was probably us - we didn't try very hard.

It took a while to find our apartment as the complex is quite large but the once found, was only a 10 minute walk (uphill) to Princes Street with the Playhouse and Cinema on the way. The apartment had plenty of space and the showers worked well in the bathrooms. Wi-Fi was also available. There were two flights of stairs to walk up with all the luggage. Also, there was only one pillow per person on the beds and no spares in the cupboard.

The apartment is laid out nicely and value for money when staying over in Edinburgh for a quick stay, but it had it's down side too... The appartment wasn't really very clean. It looked like someone already slept in my bed before me. Also, we had no warm water for our whole stay. We tried fixing the geyser and see if all the settings were right but we showered in cold water for our whole stay. And the owners of the Edinburgh Playhouse appartments are faceless people. They only arrange with you over email and phone...No personal service

very clean, very spacious. it had hairdryers! and a washing machine. and those were godsends. location was decent - within walking distance to the roayl mile. it was a struggle to find the apartment, but i talked to the management and the phone and they walked me through finding the keybox. The internet didn't work our entire stay, though they said that was because of the internet company.

Came to Edinburgh for the shopping, and the location of the appartment was ideal for this. Potentially a great self catering apartment spoiled by lack of attention to details, including very limited kitchen utensils (worst of which was no teapot), no extra duvets/bedding. Couldn't get heating working, tv couldn't pick up bbc. Cleaners only arrived as we did, and consequently did a rush job. No information on arrival or checkout processes, which were all done by 'phone. Took several calls just to find the appartment.
