Room Food Service
Corridor in poor condition -lots of cosmetic damage clearly visible as soon as you leave the lobby.
Warm and welcoming. Facilities were good. Good views from window. Good value.
Cleaner entering room before check out twice. Not much near by.
The welcome of the staff very helpful.
Tv in my room and need to update wifi.
good breakfast, comfortable room, very enjoyable pool, friendly staff. Buses within ease and relatively close to the centre
On the last night (Saturday - Sunday) there was a lot ob noise and door banging coming from the guests from about 01.30 am Sunday morning to about 03.30 am. We could not sleep even though we wanted to get up early (about 05.00) to catch our flight.
Stunning views if Edinburugh from dining room and bedroom windows. Optional breakfast voucher so you can decide on the day if you want it or not. Easy access to local public buses £3:50 for a day ticket. Stayed in a quiet room and it was exactly that .
A long way out from the centre of Edinburgh . The dining room above the gym area was somewhat cold at breakfast.
Lovely staff and facilities. Breakfast was a particular treat! The swimming pool was also excellent. All round very enjoyable stay
This is the second time we have stayed here. Everything was great. Would stay here again.
Rowdy office party! Not your fault.
Room size, Wi-Fi although a bit slow and you can onlyput one device on at a time, not very good if you have an i Phone and and I Pad.
Noise from the Christamas party until 1am, fact we stayed there fro 16 nights without Breakfast, think the manager may have said 'since you have given us all this money, have a free breakfast...!!
It was a lovely hotel an facilities were good. It was handy for getting in to town
Poor bar and only 1 poor guy on on a Saturday night! Also we were asked to leave credit card details on check in but were not advised that if we wanted to pay cash the credit card would still be locked for 5days,my family not happy with that.
Everything, as usual and in particular, the professional, friendly and courteous staff. The complimentary workout facility is also a great benefit. Expect comfort...
Except for a spotty wifi signal, there is nothing to dislike about the Edinburgh Capital Hotel.
1. Room size 2. Bed size and comfort 3. Accessibility from the hotel to city centre was a breeze 4. Cleanliness is excellent 5. Free access to fitness centre 6. Good car park space
1. Limited food menu on bar and restaurent, especially when we stay longer we get bored with the options. (E.g non availability of fish and chips which will be easily available in many bar & restaurents).
The staff was helpful and friendly, and the facilities were good.
The room was small, and the climate was centrally-controlled, making our room particularly warm.
Staff were very friendly and the bar area very good.
It is clear that when you arrive you should book a table in the restaurant if your looking to dine as it gets so busy, but this was not the case, loads of tables were free and there was no need to book a table. This should be made more clear on arrival. Rooms tidy although found the corridors leading to room 117 very tired and run down looking. This said it was a pleasant surprise when we got to the room, which was very good.
Very clean hotel, polite and helpful staff. Near to bus stop with an excellent service to city centre.
Noise from adjacent rooms. Not much within walking distance of the hotel. A small shop in the hotel would be an improvement.
Good size rooms, friendly staff. Pool, gym steam room and jacuzzi excellent! Breakfast great too.
Nothing not to like!
Staff, food, facilities were brilliant.bed was possibly the most comfortable I have ever known
Didnt sleep a wink as there was a compressor going all night outside the building and there was a security light above our window that shone through the bottom of the curtains
fast check in, good location, convenient parking
Hotel just out of Edinburgh, but on a great bus route, very regular every 10 mins to the centre. Also only £3.50 for a day ticket so you could go back and forth into the town. Hotel staff really friendly.
Hotel not very clean, we started out trip on a Sunday and when we went to our room there were empty wines bootle and glasses that stayed out on the hall for a couple of days!, the flooring in our room did nothing but creak wherever walked on it, the room is dated and is in need of a bit of refurbishment. Which is a shame as otherwise it was ok.
The rooms where nice It had WiFi Staff were great
There was nothing around it The taxi ride in to the centre was £15 Could not check in till after 2 The hotel food was really expensive
Location and breakfast was very good. The room was a decent size.
The service at breakfast was a bit lacking - the staff seemed rushed off their feet and we had to ask for cups etc! The room was also a little cold.
The pool a d breakfast
Beds in twin room seemed small
The food quality was very good. The breakfast was above average. The pool was wonderful and warm and very relaxing. Lovely welcoming staff throughout our stay. Plan to return when in Edinburgh. The 26 bus from outside took you anywhere in Edinburgh for all day ticket of £3.50!!
Perhaps a few toiletries would have been nice but unfortunately not to be seen. So take your Shampoo!!
Poor bar staff although he worked well
