Hotel was easy to access from the airport and parking was always available. Double bed was too short and narrow for two people.

Good location for the city, close to easy bus link. Poor customer service, only stayed 2 days, first day, breakfast not delivered until a reminder call made to reception 45 mins after ordered time, and second, the organised wake up call for 6am (as we were catching our flight home to Australia that day), was not received, luckily we had also set a manual alarm, or we would have missed our flight.

Very friendly staff who were helpful and gave good advice on local transportation. Facilities were quite good and comfortable. Would recommend to friends. I really don't have any negative reactions to my stay at the hotel. Very pleasant stay. Maybe just a bit far out from the city centre.

I was attending a friends wedding with my wife. The wedding was in the hotel so we chose it for this reason. The staff were friendly and very helpfull. The room was very clean and comfortable. The meal at the wedding was very good. Squeaky floorboards in the room above us! But I doubt if the hotel can do anything about this!

Staff very helpful, arranged an early check-in for us so we could get changed for a 2pm wedding. Hotel was clean & modern, very comfortable, with good facilities. Recommended!

good restaurant, great food and breakfast was good although a little slow at coming after the advertised 7am start we had to wait for tea and jam etc until about 7.10 bad TV in room limited channels and hard to understand programming

The BEST WESTERN Edinburgh Capital Hotel is a fabulous hotel which should be higher than 3 stars. The room I had was fantastic and big which had a huge bed and the housekeeping were stupendous. The food in the restaurant was amazing and very very cheap. I can not put any faults with the hotel and my week stay. I would highly recommend the hotel!

The hotel itself is good - only thing that many consider as bad is hotel location - it takes around 30 minutes to the center of Edinburgh. But on taxi it will be much faster and you don't need to go to the center if you plan move around surroundings - two stations are closer than center to the hotel and both can be reached by bus in 15-20 minutes, also bus stop Drum Brae Roundabout provide you access to many other buses in 5 minutes by bus from hotel. If you like sport you can do it in hotel's fitness center with pool. Hotel provide dinners for reasonable price, breakfast is basic and the same each morning, but good enough as a start of a day. One shopping center, two supermarkts, Edinburgh Zoo with Pandas are close enough to this place. If you wish to stay somewhere with pool - not bad choice!

The location was ideal for me, close to family and with easy access to the airport. My room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom facilities excellent. As I was at the rear there was no traffic noise and no disturbance from other guests so I had peaceful and undisturbed nights. I did not use the restaurant facilities but found the bar staff pleasant and efficient. I had no complaints or caveats about the hotel.

Very comfortable bed. Good-sized room. Helpful, professional staff. Gym attached to the hotel. Clean. All round I was pretty impressed. The building is aging a little and the corridors feel a bit run-down - but the rooms are find. Aside from that the only other complaint I have was poor sound insulation - I could hear creaking and footsteps above me and what sounded like bins being rolled around noisily below me at 6am. But It wasn't a big problem and all round I think this is a good hotel for the money. I would go back.

The hotel was situated perfectly for us as we planned to visit Edinburgh Zoo and into the city, bus route 26 picks up and drops off very nearby and passes the zoo on its way to the city.
