Hotel was easy to access from the airport and parking was always available. Double bed was too short and narrow for two people.

This hotel has a nice and modern decor and is located in a green and quiet area of Edinburgh. Bus stop with several buses to the city center is just around the corner. The rooms are spacious and clean, equipped with a big and comfortable beds, large LCD TV and tea/ coffee making facilities. Breakfast was good and at reasonable price. It's too far from the city centre (25-30 min by bus), however the buses are runinig every 10 miutes. We didn't like the fact we were given the room on the groundfloor which was very cold, and had no privacy ( a part of hotel's car park was just outside our windows and terrace doors, so sitting on the bed we could see people getting in and off the cars). The groundfloor rooms are also noisy. One of the ladies working at reception desk wasn't particularly nice and helpful, but the rest of the staff was very friendly.

Close to main bus stop with very regular buses into town and the surrounding area. Cooked breakfast was a little disappointing and tasted dry due to being prepared earlier and left on warmers.

I have stayed at the Best Western a couple of times now but this was the first for leisure purposes. The facilities are great and food is of a great standard. My kids loved the hotel and were treated with respect by all staff, thank you. On a funny note, having no hair I have never noticed the fact that there are not either shampoo and conditioner provided. However, taking my children and my daughter having very long hair the lack of the later was overlooked by myself and visitors should bare this in mind, especially after using the excelent hotel pool.

The hotel was very nice and the service was good. The only problem was its location is a bit far out of town for shopping etc although the bus service is close by and good. Would use again

Lovely breakfast and very clean rooms. Our room was 216 (I think) and the lift was broken, this was not a huge problem as the staff did offer us help with bags. What annoyed us was that there was a party and a wedding both nights and I could hear every song word for word and failed to get peace. Also the shower in the room was awful.

All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The bed was huge and comfy and the room was lovely and warm. I will certainly book this hotel when I have to return to Edinburgh in April. It was unfortunate that the lift was broken but thankfully I was on the first floor. The downside to this was that I could hear the music from the function downstairs.

Friendly staff, an excellent chef and good location near Edinburgh and my place of work. Added bonus of the fitness facility and pool. Car park can become almost full making it longer than required to park.

Its location was perfect as we were visiting our new grandson in South Queensferry. In addition Edinburgh Zoo was only 30 minutes walk away and we saw the Pandas which was a bonus. Although we did not use them there is a frequent bus service running near to the hotel which covers all of Edinburgh. We used the early bird evening menu which was good value £9.95 for 2 courses.

. The staff were genuinely very friendly and helpful. The price of my room was very competitive for the standard of the hotel and proximity to the airport. I would probably use it again in the future. I liked the restaurant , but I thought the bar was a bit clinical and uninviting. The staff however more than made up for this shortfall, and to be fair the hotel was empty so probably not a totally fair criticism..

Very helpful staff. I had booked a room with special requirement of it being quite and with double bed, not two beds joined togather, but was given the room with twin beds joined togather and room facing the car park, however, as soon as I talked to the reception about the problem, they immediately gave me a room on the 2nd floor with proper doublebed and a fantastic view of the city. The Gym/steam and sauna facilities were also very good and I always look forward to these sessions in the evenings to relax and wind up after a tiring day out in the city. They also provided towels and the locals visiting the centre were also very friendly. We were looking forward to see the Pandas in the nearby Edinburg Zoo, however, we only just found out at the hotel, that the Zoo required a printed copy, which upon request, the reception was kind enough to print us a copy of our booking, without which we would not have been able to see the Pandas at the zoo. The free Wifi connection at the hotel was also good and proved to be useful in making bookings online for various attractions and planning our trips. The Staff particularly Kate at the reception was very helpful and gave us all the necessary information for the best attractions to see in the city. We had a best stay at Best western hotel and would not hesitate to stay again in the same hotel if we do decide to come back to Edinburgh despite of it's location. The problem I see is the location, which is not near the Edinburgh city. Although the bus stop is quite nearby and you can buy a day ticket for just 3.20 per day (or 1.30 single ticket) and it takes 1/2 hr to the city centre from the hotel. T.V. was provided in the room, but only had around 4 to 5 basic channels. Would be nice to have a small refrigerator in the room. The rooms have wooden floors (although covered with carpets) which was bit noisy. Lucky that we were on the top floors otherwise we would have to listen to these noises every time someone walks on the floor upstairs.
