It was a good location and a pleasantly run small hotel. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good, although no fruit available. Having to queue for a breakfast table was annoying. The road outside the hotel was noisy so we had to sleep with the window closed. |

The staff was extremely helpful. They answered most of our questions immediately and researched the Internet to answer the others. They were very accomodating and friendly. |

The breakfast was great. Unfortunately some of the other guests were the sort to go out, get hammered, and come back to the hotel trying to pick fights with people in the street - and my window was on the street. Not the hotel's fault, really. Just football hooligans on a budget. |

Staff was very friendly and helpfull; room was not very large, but bathroom was clean, new and practical. Breakfast was tradional English, but good. Good value for money. Stairwells looked dated and not very well maintained. |

Friendly staff; good breakfast and good service at breakfast. Location. Relatively quiet for a busy area of London. Close to nearest underground. Bathroom chilly, no heating. For the price, I feel toiletries should include a sachet of shower gel. Shower not very hot. |

It was very nice. We'd have liked to have seen more Edward Lear items on display though I think you could make a lot more of the fact it was Edward Lear's home. Reproductions on the walls. Some information about the house as it was then. Old photos. Let down by some kitch art on walls when it should be Lear Lear Lear. |

good breakfast, adequate room for price, bed comfortable, tea & coffee facilities in bedroom, friendly & helpful staff did not like the shared bathroom, I knew when booking that it was shared but it did not look clean and very old decor in the bathroom itself, ie a bit shabby looking but basin in room for a wash was good |

The location was really good as was the service and hospitality of the hotel employees. The bed was small and uncomfortable. Our room was on the 5th floor and there are only stairs in the hotel, making it quite a trek! Ofcourse, we knew in advance that there would be no elevator. I am just stating it as a minor inconvenience. |

Breakfast was good , rooms clean. Staff helpfull. Renovations were happening at the time of our stay and we had very heavy bags to carry to the top floor. On our return stay the new curtains had attachments that were too small. The curtain fell open we were lucky enough to clip it together with a hairclip or we would of been on view to the street. When leaving before breakfast is available it should be a lower rate. |

The fact that there is no lift, and we were put on the fifth floor, I don't remember seeing anything about there not being a lift on the website. As my husband suffers from breathing problems this made it difficult for him and there was no alternative available/offered. |
