The pillows were rubbish
Location was ideal
Room was very small. There was dust all over the walls, cobwebs on the ceiling, scuff marks and dints in the walls. The grout in the shower cubicle was rank.
Very good for city shops, friendly staff
Breakfast quite limited, only sausage, scrambled egg and beans for hot options!
Have stayed before, and will do again. Convenient for city centre. Good standard throughout.
My wife was looking forward to bacon for breakfast, so was really disappointed that there was only sausage, egg and beans on offer for the cooked breakfast. She can't eat eggs and doesn't eat sausage. No bacon - how strange.
Room very comfortable, location excellent too - only a short walk into the city & it's many excellent bars & shops.
A warm, friendly and comfortable stay, close to the city centre.
free parking everything on door step
scrambled egg not fried or boiled
Check in and out we're very swift. Breakfast was included in the room rate and very good
Room was at end of the corridor which was a bit noisy when residents came upstairs
Room clean, good size and pleasantly decorated. Bed comfortable with a choice of pillows. Bathroom clean and good size, shower powerful.
No extra blanket when I was cold in bed. Breakfast not great, not much choice of hot food, no bacon.
We were attending a Christmas party at Chester Racecourse and chose this hotel as it was the closest ... You can't get any closer and we had a fabulous view of the race track from our bedroom window on the top floor. The sofa bed was made up on our arrival which was perfect. We had a bit of a dress emergency and reception provided us with a free sewing kit which was a nice extra. Breakfast was lovely. Great free car parking too!
There genuinely isn't anything I didn't like about our stay.
Bed was comfy.
Breakfast, hotel very dirty and smelly.Would not be booking again.
This hotel is actually on the Racecourse, but parking is free for the hotel. If the races are on it would be very exciting, but no doubt more expensive. It is in a great position for walking into Chester, only a few minutes away. The walls walk is lovely even on a dull day, and you can climb to the top of the Cathedral. Hotel is good quality, always staff around who are helpful, and breakfast is good.
Location. colour scheme, breakfast.
slight smell from toilet
Easy to find with free parking
Road noise at nigh as we were on the front
Wifi, free parking, postion.
First room smelled of sick, second room feel the bed springs worn out bed.
Nice hotel perfectly adequate! We had a good deal but do believe that the prices are too steep at certain times of year and race days! Breakfast was a bonus!
Hotel was very basic , not the cleanest hotel , reasonable breakfast . There are much better hotels in Chester for the same cost .
cold room even with heating on & train noise (room 207).
Limited choice with regard to cooked food at breakfast.
Good location Complimentary tea and coffee
Awake all night as room located opposite fire door on 3rd floor which was in constant use until 4am and banged shut every time.Very noisey The worst night in a hotel I have ever known. Breakfast area too small with just one tiny hot food cabinet with a very limited choice of food which led to a lot of waiting in a que very strange for the size of the hotel
Friendly, knowledgeable staff, excellent breakfast. Very impressed and would certainly stay again and recommend to family and friends.
Racecourse restaurants closing early on sundays. Booked for 8pm but told 2 hours prior that they were closing early!
location stayed here last year for Chester shopping
Comfortable well positioned with easy access for centre of town. Once in car park plenty of space.
Awkward and poor signpost to car park ( Chester Winter Wonderland on same entrance with charging both) somewhat confusing.
Really comfortable bed and room, staff were very attentive
Early morning noise from traffic outside and cleaners
Liked everythink staff were great
