The staff were particularly helpful and friendly. Nothing too much trouble and all with a smile. We will definitely return. Pub very well run, food excellent. Great at night too.
very friendly staff. well situated in a quintessential Cotswold village. very good selection of beers and ales in a quality pub and restaurant. food experience was quite good. they also have a great outdoor seating area for tea or drinks.
Very friendly and attentive staff, wonderful period charm throughout. Excellent food coupled with real ale is always a winner with me. Looking forward to a return visit 10/10
Nothing, everything was very good.
Good food Young women behind the bar very helpful and apologetic
En suite smelt awful and toilet wasn't working. Had to use pub toilet.
The friendliness of all the staff including the owners Neil & Julie. Everyone was helpful in suggesting places to visit or to see.
Location Location Location The idea that you can truly feel as if you are stepping back in time, but still enjoy some modern day conveniences.
This was our second stay...we will always keep The Eights Bells in mind when traveling through the Cotswold's!!!
The quirky rooms, the comfortable beds, the cleanliness and generally most everything about the place.
It wasn't that we didn't like it, or even need it, but the facility of a telephone in the room to reach reception had we needed to would have been nice. We didn't really have much contact with the staff so we can't justify an excellent but the contact we had was good.
Great location, excellent staff, good food- splendid breakfast.
A bit noisy.
My mum's room was next door so any problems and she could knock on the wall next to us. Plenty of breakfast and plenty of choice. The priest's hole in the dining room.
Initially we were shown only one room and I had booked two rooms. We were then shown another room which was down a corridor and up another flight of steps. She is 93. Eventually the room next door was cleaned and she unpacked.Parking can be too far from entrance.
The room was gorgeous to stay in and very quirky. The staff were very friendly and the pub was busy and had a real buzz about it. I would definitely go back.
breakfast space to park outside friendly short walk into village centre bright bedroom
you have to book if you want to be sure of dinner, which is a good sign needs more veg options for dinner
Cosy, good food
great base for exploring the cotswolds
rubbish breakfasts, fruit salad was always chopped apple,no summer fruits. half grapefruit just cut in half not segmented. can't cook a decent egg.and the campagrain toast was vile with no other choice offered, even tho we asked every day. And the bar was very noisy!!
Historical quaint building very unique experience Excellent friendly staff Convenient to walk into town Breakfast was beautiful Wi Fi worked well
Didn't like the furry decor topper on bed
Old world charm
No personal touches
If you want to stay a while in a typical England town, I would recommend here to you. The staff here are so much friendly and they offerred so much help. Although the location is a little problem as there are no buses on Sunday and you must book your taxi in advance. Anyway, overall, it is definitely a fantastic place and really worth staying.
Great location in a lovely Cotswold village. Although there is no dedicated parking, we arrived late afternoon as most of the tourists had left, so managed to park virtually outside the front door. Atmosphere in abundance within the pub. Really friendly and helpful staff. The evening meal was excellent as was the breakfast the following day. Lovely garden terrace at the rear of the premises.
The accomadation and Staff and the interesting places to see.
Not a bad word to say.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.
The Eight Bells Inn was a fantastic experience! The staff are really nice and helpful with all of our request.
Beautiful bedroom , friendly staff, good food!
Great old pub and restaurant in an excellent location.
Although my family of 5 only stayed one night, it was a lovely night! The Eight Bells Inn is in a very convenient location within easy walking distance of the main street and all of the shops and restaurants. There is a beautiful Church and ruins of an old estate just around the corner both of which were beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and included in the room price. We had a wonderful stay in Chipping Camden and the Eight Bells Inn was a delightful surprise.
Lots of atmosphere Location great Very quiet Food good
Staff were friendly, food was good and room was adequate
shower was a bit small
