This is a very nice B&B with a good view of the surrounding countryside. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. En-suite room was very comfortable with modern facilities. Adequate parking was provided. An excellent restuarant is within a short drive (Harrys).
The B n B was lovely and neat-we loved the decor of our room! The breakfast was also delicious and our host was extremely friendly and welcoming. The location was a little far from the town but as we had a car we didn't mind as much! Would definetely recommend to other!
We were six friends on a weekend away looking for quality accommodation at a good price and that's just what we found at Elagh View Bed & Breakfast. We had three of the four bedrooms that are well equipped and so comfortable. Our hosts Jimmy & Mary were charming, friendly and so accommodating, they just did everything for us without us asking and it was such a refreshing change and good to relax completely. Anyone out there wondering how to do B&B.... this is how you do it !!!
Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Guest rooms were modern and clean. Breakfasts were delicious.
Somewhat difficult to find. But worth the find.
The place was very clean. Comfortable and owner very nice no complaints only praise
Mary was very welcoming, offering a cuppa as soon as we arrived. Gave us advice on where to go for a meal that night which was right on the money for great food at a good price. She was also most helpful when it came to tours and things to do in and around Derry. On top of all this, our room was great and the private bathroom spotless.
Good location and views of the garden were very nice. Owners are very welcoming and friendly people. We felt very comfortable in their home. Decoration and colors of the bedroom were also very nice and bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was big and comfortable. And to end our stay even more in love with the place, breakfast was really good.
Friendliness of staff
noise from outside the room; bed comfort; distance from town. B&Bs should be on 2 levels, with guests upstairs. This felt like living in someone's house, with an industrial business adjoining the property.
A lovely bed and breakfast just outside of the wall city of Derry. Mary was a welcoming host. The rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet and a good hearty Irish breakfast was served the next morning. A wee bit off the ring road but good access to the city or the roads to Donegal or the north east.
Comfortable Room, Clean, Good Breakfast, Nice Views, Great Hosts
Difficult to find
Situated just outside of Derry, this pristine Bed and Breakfast had such a lovely view of the countryside and the Elagh (old ruins). The beds were very comfortable, clean, and the food fantastic. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. This was a great place to stay!
Mary, the owner
The next door neighbours air con unit - it ran for most of the night and was situated close to our window!!
The Elagh View B&B was a delightful place to stay with its amazing views and comfortable room, loved the bed!! A wonderful helpful host that cooked the most delicious breakfast. I would recommend the Elagh View B&B to everyone especially those who enjoy the country lifestyle.
Very friendly hosts, nice family run establishment. Clean modern rooms with good on suite facilities.
The host(s) were warm and friendly. Mary gave us suggestions for restaurants and it was an excellent choice. The breakfast table was beautifully set. It was so clean and the beds were comfortable. Beautiful scenery (except for the low-income housing across the street) from three sides. We would definitely stay there again.
Everything was nice and comfortable! Great service and very nice place! We enjoyed our stay on 100%
Convenient and peaceful location on the outskirts of Derry; very easy to find. Lovely countryside views. Mary and Jimmy were most friendly, accommodating and ever ready with helpful information. Rooms were comfortable and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was made to order with a good variety available for all tastes. The cooked breakfast was absolutely first class! We would stay there again without hesitation - who needs hotels!
This was a great place to stay and we would definitely recommend it. Everything about it was excellent, including the view in the morning from the dining room - fantastic! Breakfast was really good too!
Owners were very friendly and made us a cup of tea on arrival. The power shower was great.
The bathroom window had no curtains or blinds.
The B&B was great with a magnificent outlook to the fields and animals. Host Mary was fantastic, could not do enough to assist, much appreciated.
A little difficult to find without a Satnav but well worth the stay.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean. Very good location to access Derry and Donegal.
Rooms on the small side.
Warm welcome. Lovely room and no stairs! Quiet area,
We missed having real coffee for breakfast. Tea making things are only in the public lounge, not the bedroom.
The hosts were very welcoming and it was like walking into a normal "Home" environment. The room had tastefully neutral decor and a very comfortable bed. This room came with Private Use of a bathroom which was located immediately across the hall, so very convenient. I arrived in the daylight so found the B&B quite easily but could imagine if you were arriving at night and not familiar with the area that you could easily get a bit confused. It was lovely looking out the bedroom window at 9 o'clock at night and seeing sheep running around the green paddocks. Breakfast was delicious and again, being able to enjoy lovely views of the surrounding hills was just amazing for my first trip to Ireland. I drove into Londonderry to meet up with relatives and the town centre was very close by and easy to get to. Being close to the border I decided to drive across and explore the area a bit before heading back to Belfast. The Host was very helpful indeed in providing brochures and ideas of where to go and what to do. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Welcoming atmosphere. Very comfortable. You could come and go as you pleased. Friendly and informative owner.
very friendly hosts. comfortable room and lovely food. great views across irish countryside from house
room window next to front door so a bit public
