Loved the complimentary fruit bowl. Whilst our room had been occupied by other guests, we were promptly upgraded to a suite. The issue was handled professionally and quickly.

Ambience as soon as you arrive was lovely. Very pleasant friendly staff. Decor fantastic. Breakfast extremely tasty. Room was a little warm for us and there was no temperature control that we could find.

I liked the decor, the ambience and the staff. Food was good but quite a long wait for a meal in the evening(1hr). Seems a little mean not to supply small bottles of water by the bedside. Also would be nice to offer a turndown service.

Beautiful hotel - quite expensive but worth it as the room was amazing especially the outside bathing area!

Excellent location, welcoming and helpful staff, lovely homely feeling to the hotel. The evening meal prepared for us was good. The late breakfast on Saturday morning meant we couldn't sample the breakfast.

It is comfortable, with friendly, staff. We think for the price that breakfast should be included and it is for this reason alone that we will look elsewhere in future.

Beautiful hotel in quiet leafy suburb. Room was large and really nicely decorated. Fantastic walk in rain shower and lovely claw foot bath tub. Excellent attention to detail e.g. Fresh milk in the fridge in the room. Breakfast was fantastic and served in a lovely conservatory overlooking the garden. We will be back.

Quiet and comfortable, with very attentive staff. Generally no complaints. I did find the curtain between the bathroom and main bedroom a little unusual, but it didn't really detract from the stay.

The room was very well decorated and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. When paying that amount of money for a double room, I was disappointed to find it was 2 singles pushed together. That's my only small complainant

Despite being encouraged to pay for a room upgrade, I was put in Room 12 right above the kitchens so I was constantly exposed to kitchen noise and, worst of all, foul kitchen smells. Despite complaining, I was treated pretty poorly.

I was in Manchester as I regularly am and due to full booking in the city I tried this hotel which is about 6 miles out of the centre. Such a refreshing change from the anonymity of the big chain hotels in town. Very friendly helpful staff and excellent food well worth the prices charged (which were not unreasonable in the context of hotel catering). Will stay there again.

Lovely decor - quite chic. Very comfortable. Excellent food. Too many 'extra'S.... Breakfast not included in the rice, extra charge for wi-fi. The hotel is beautiful but over priced.
