The staff particularly the lady on reception were excellent The hotel was value for money
Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Lovely fluffy towels and warm atmosphere.
the food was good and the service and the staff were very friendly.
The location and the staff, the service was excellent. The food was delicious.
ed the being on the third floor,we loved being on the second floor.
A comfortable lounge and terrace overlooking the sea. Meals ,tea and coffee services excellent. Friendly staff all working as a team. Good parking facilities. Sister hotel next door with special meal offers. Unspoilt town with individual shopping.
The location, the sea view, the balcony and the very helpful staff.
The room was rather small and not much space round the bed. The balcony needed a clean.
The view from the front of the hotel.
Rooms cramped. Beds uncomfortable. Sheets clean but some old stains. Room to back noisey . Room to front noisey with cars racing up and down from 1 am on a Saturday evening.
Lady from the reception , on day of our arrival was very unfriendly and not ready to help. Instead of a double room we got a single one with a king size bed sqweezed inside it.Next day , after complaining, we eventually got what we payed for in the first place.
A charming hotel reflecting a bygone era although many mature age travellers appear to be still enjoying sitting in a hotel lounge by the seaside for extended stays.
You need to carry your luggage upstairs

WIFI doesn't work in hotel
lovely hotel in a great location, breakfast was 1st class.
not enough parking and although booked a few weeks in advance still could not park my car at hotel car park for my full stay and had to pay £12 to park overnight elsewhere with no security, also told i could park on road along hotel but you have no chance, would put me off staying here again.
The staff and the food were unbeatable!
The room was cramped and at the back of the hotel overlooking the neighbouring hotel and outside space which became noisey in the evening. The cost of the room did not represent value for money.
Really welcoming, friendly staff. Lovely, small and comfortable hotel. A delightful stay!
Good Location - right on sea front. Food - Excellent Staff - Very friendly Quiet at night If you don't drive this is an ideal hotel as it is near everything.
Rooms are a little small Parking is a major issue for this hotel. We stayed two nights and only had the first night reserved parking. We were told we would be able to park at front but it was so busy. We had two choices, pay £12 on a nearby pay n display or drive round until a space became available. Either way not good!
Position of room on sea front with balcony for folk procession in evening
Having to pay as much for one person as it would have cost for two... This is always a problem for single travellers which needs to be addressed in this country
The food was excellent quality with a variety of choice and very good value for the pre booked price. Hotel location could not be better. Having complimetary morning coffee and afternoon tea was a lovely touch as was water in the room. Liked that the room had an iron and board plus a decent hairdryer.
The room facilities could do with some improvements to facilitate all customer needs e.g. no grab hand rail on the wall in the shower for safety for my elderly mother. Safe did not work and wi fi connection was impossible. TV suffered from some interference too.
All the staff were very welcoming and friendly, not one of them could we fault, our rooms were very comfortable and well looked after.which made our stay lovely..
Welcoming, attentive and informative from the reception team to all the staff. All rooms and facilities well appointed and spotless, but retaining its regency appeal yet bright and roomy. Hearty Breakfast choices made to order keep you going all day visiting this hidden gem of a seaside resort.
the friendly nature of all we met.the hotel staff could not be more helpful
no body told us that real ale could be had in the next door hotel which also belongs to the same folk. all the y had was FIZZ stuff!!!
Staff Breakfast Location
Wifi was very poor TV signal also poor
Staff were so helpful - they did everything the could to make us feel welcome. The view was stunning and the room was luxurious, comfortable and very clean. There was a wee lift which was invaluable to take my elderly mum up and down from the top floor.
Hotel staff were very helpful.
The room was cold at times and there was no heat. It would have been better, considering the elderly, to have been able to turn the radiator on for a while to make the room more comfortable.
Right on the front, excellent breakfast.
Not enough parking, need to reserve in advance which not stated by Booking . com
Super room with a balcony & sea view (We had an unexpected, & v welcome, upgrade at no extra cost). We stayed on a B&B basis so can only comment on breakfasts which were excellent! Would definitely recommend & hope that we will be able to visit again.
Very tight parking spaces in hotel park. Had to move our car to a long-stay car park after the first evening as no space available for us. (On the plus side the long stay car park fee was only £6 for 24 hours, v reasonable for a seaside town).
Excellent staff, cleanliness and food - one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at.
Wi fi is not good but were told that this will be addressed during winter.
