perfect location excellent breakfasts excellent wi-fi nice bar
four flights of stairs to reach room 22 cramped room, with two beds facing each other along on wall.
Well furnished, ideal location, good staff, comfortable and quiet. Good breakfast and value for money
Staff attended to any problems very promptly.
Chair in window badly in need of reupholstering giving the room a worn appearance. More info and leaflets on things to do would be goof.
Enjoyed position as on Prom and very central. Very friendly helpful staff. Good WiFi access.
We purchased parking at £9.50 per day but discovered we could use parking disks for free - provided by hotel. These were perfect for us as away each day in car from before 10.00 and back about 5'ish so could have used disk. Perhaps this info could be identified by Ellan Vannin when making booking as a choice.
We liked the friendly atmosphrre and friendliness kof the owners and their staff
45 steps to my room.
sea-front location near the main shopping street (which is excellent ) i appreciated being treated like an individual breakfast was superb
some street noise one night woke me - not the fault of the hotel - and i soon went to sleep again;
Friendly staff and kind. Nice breakfast cooked to ones taste. Beautiful views from my sea view room.
Lots of stairs which didn't bother me but might be a problem for less agile guests
Nice big bathroom, room was modern and beds very comfortable. Bar was relaxed and lounge area was really nice and comfy. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.
The location on the promenade was excellent. There was lots of variety at breakfast. The full English breakfast was really nice. The king size bed was very comfortable with soft pillows and duvet. Also the two armchairs in the room were good, as we didn't have to sit on the bed. There were tea making facilities and biscuits were always on the tray.
You should pay that bit extra for a sea view room, as we had views of a wall about 6 ft away from our two windows. (Room 7). This made the room quite dark. Not a problem if you are out all day though. No lift in the hotel, so quite a lot of stairs to climb. Beware of take away food or hair dye in your room! There is a letter warning you that you will be charged on your credit card if you ruin any linen.
This hotel met all my needs for a short work trip. Staff were friendly and helpful.
We liked the room we exchanged to from our originally allocated one.
We didn't like having to complain about the quality of the room allocated to us on arrival.
Wonderful position, wonderfully friendly welcome; great breakfasts!
Convenient for public transport Comfortable rooms Good breakfast especially the kippers
No evening meal option.
Charging for small extras; inaccurate information about bar meals; very hard mattresses
The staff were extremely helpful and real friendly. I was contacted prior to my arrival to see if they could help in any way by arranging restaurant reservations and car parking which they kindly sorted for me. The breakfast was excellent and the chef was very accomodating to give us an early breakfast on the day of our departure due to an early ferry. This was no trouble at all to the staff who were extremely polite and helpful. I would definitly book to stay there again.
The walk up three flights of stairs to our bedroom
Convenient location for my office, good wifi and a comfortable bed. I had a fantastic view of the bay, though the size of the window required that I drew the curtains fully.
The single room was very compact, though I didn't need a lot of space. Traffic noise can be an issue with the window open
Breakfasts Room make up
Inconsiderate guests banging doors at all hours. Small en-suite.
Good food, friendly staff, good location on sea front. Comfortable guest lounge and bar area.
Very little water pressure in shower. Room comfortable but quite small
Bed Shower Breakfast Location Staff
Minor criticism – main lounge TV. Lack of USB port to enable us bikers to view on-board video footage direct from memory cards.
We wanted something special as it was our golden wedding and we certainly got it here. Lovely staff, excellent and comfortable room, good food and the location was ideal for everything.
Courteous friendly staff. Helpful and obliging.
Lack of shower mat in bathroom. I used a handtowel to prevent me slipping. I am 79yrs old but quite able. Arthritis makes you take extra care.
