- Wifi was great. - helpful and friendly staff. - Parking was close to the entrance.
- Bed was a tad too soft for my liking! - Cooked breakfast was ok, although it took some time to get it on the table due to staff not turning up on time! I ended up a little rushed on my way to an early appointment! Waitress for courteous and apologetic for the delay, however! - I couldn't alter the air-con, so ended up opening the window! I guess I could have asked the staff, but was too tired!
Staff are friendly, fantastic breakfast, lovely area
There are always time limits, so it can be hard to relax if you want to have a lie in! Can be quite loud at night
Room was dated. Was very cold.
Bedroom was FREEZING! Except at 3am when the "air con" had time to take effect and with the setting on 30 degrees all night, became a tad warm. The decor was a bit 'tired', carpets with black marks, walls scruffy and splattered and even another diner commented on the 'splashes' up the wall in the restaurant where they sat! Breakfast was great, honestly, but put an hour aside to get it.
Good for the Club
Bathroom smelt damp. Using hairdryer set off the smoke alarm and the lady from receiption wasnt very polite about it !
Having to walk outside for breakfast. Difficulty in getting an evening meal.
the friendly staff, nice breakfast included in the price worth the money we will stay again.
Cobwebs over ceiling, heating not working (was freezing) noisy neigbours finally shut up at 4.30 am in morning!!!
Nothing too much trouble. Staff had a commitment to the comfort/needs of guests. Attention to detail.
Totally satisfied. No complaints.
Great views and surroundings
Noisy air conditioning
the location & atmosphere was of a hotel where the guests were made to enjoy their stay & not feel as if the hotel was more important . Breakfast was a dream, really prompt service & attentive staff.
the car parking was easy but large puddles had to be negotiated but eh !! it was winter
The breakfast was fab and Mouldy fig quirky and different to have breakfast in.
Hotel a little dated Receptionist not very personable
Location, Food, Beer, Staff
Carpark gets too watery and needs proper tarmac
Well placed for motorway, Southampton, university with parking for docks and airport. Adjacent to country park for exercising dogs. Attached to jazz club with restaurant. Extremely dog friendly.
This hotel has every thing you need for an overnight stay, and one of the best breakfasts you will ever eat.
Setting of hotel.
Having to walk outside to function room. Room on the small size.
Room, food and very helpful staff.
Room safe broken, heating unit showing its age.
Quiet location and friendly staff. Good breakfast and comfortable bed.
Although there were two of us we had to ask for an extra set of towels, and things like an extra hot chocolate for the tea tray. On day two one of our hand towels had gone again. I guess the cleaner usually sets rooms up for just one person.
Beds were comfortable and the shower was good.
Hairdrier not working, but I was given a replacement eventually. Not good having to walk through a very muddy car park at night, and having to walk outside in the frost for breakfast.there also seemed to be a shortage of staff at breakfast as the tables were full of dirty dishes
overall we enjoyed our stay with a very nice breakfast thank you
there was not enough light in the car park and the car park was muddy in places.
The Hotel does not live up to it's web site. Rooms are very small, air conditioning old and in need of replacement. I would consider it a poor relation to Premier Inn
all of it,
The comfy beds
The furniture is old , tired and well worn, and needs updating, something lighter would mke a difference. Our room smelt musty, and every time the air con/ heating came on, a strong waft of stale water blew around the room. when I mentioned this to reception, they said they would freshen our room whilst we were out for dinner, but nothing was done. Also having to walk outside and across the carpark to go for breakfast is not ideal.
If the weather had been wet (it wasn't), the lengthy walk to another property for breakfast would have been most unpleasant.
