the room was fair in size and clean the grounds were lovely and the hotel.
the chief was rude when a dispute over order, very expensive to eat and drink in the hotel not value for money at all, the waitress staff need more training as the didnt have a clue about the food they were serving.
We stayed in a lodge but there was also cottages and rooms in the hotel too. The restaurant meal in the evening is not good value for money but you can easily get to Lymington to find other restaurants. Swimming pool is good.
Very expensive for level of service and facilities, the bar prices were extortionate and staff unhelpful.
Great pool and facilities
The price of food is extortional
Room and spa great
Steak restaurant...... Not good value.....served pudding before we had starter.....staff could be more welcoming
The location is superb The facilities are excellent The staff are friendly and very helpful The rooms are spacious and well appointed The free Cloud Wi-Fi worked faultlessly for our entire stay Although we didn't have time to take advantage of the health club facilities they looked very good
The Steak restaurant was awful, the food was nothing like advertised and was overpriced. Our meal for two came to £67:00 for two mains and two desserts. The 'thick cut steaks' were paper thin and anaemic. We had a fabulous meal at Lanes Restaurant in Lymington for £60:00 This was our only bad experience of the whole weekend...if you take these reviews seriously, then please do something, we were not the only ones who were disappointed. One guest was so upset with his dessert (£7:00) that he left the restaurant because he was so angry
The entire set up was excellent, rooms clean. With plenty to do for my Grandson. Well done, most refreshing as the fact that at breakfast it was great to see you employing young local staff aside of being a wash with eastern Europeans. Fantastic to see polite, efficient, friendly English local teenagers acting as great ambassadors for your establishment. 1St class well done. Could not do enough to help us plus looking how they treated elderly disabled couple who came in to eat, superb
Our evening meal in the steak house, we order food off the menu which was slow in coming. The staff had trouble understanding me, we're from Essex / London not Poland. The salad that we ordered had bits of fish & chicken in it, which should have been a straight forward salad. When I question the Lady about it, I was told "that's how we prepare it in my country" what country I do not know. Upon receipt of our bill, we had three members of the servicing staff hovering over us I presume waiting for a tip with all three jockeying for position, most intimidating. I thought that what we got was not very good value for money, which in essence was pub grub at £65.00 which included one wine and two soft drinks.
Room was spacious. Facility grounds and main building was relaxing.
Room serviced very late. Waterford Restaurant poor. Steak house bar poorly staffed and inefficient. No towels at pool. Not able to sit on balcony. Balcony filthy. Dirty chair in room.
location, facilities food
Main house full of character. splendid grounds. Very spacious and comfortable room in green surroundings. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice lounge and bar, both formal and informal meals possible. Just the place to relax and come to rest. Very short walk from Railway station and Ferry (7 minutes)
Just one minor point: carpet was rather worn and not too clean.
Elmers is in a lovely situation, the grounds are beautiful. We stayed in the rooms outwith the main hotel. They were large, very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful especially the lads on work experience. Lots of do at hotel and nearby.
Didn't like having to pay for tennis, when this was not stated on booking.com. It seems very petty of hotel to do this I feel especially as they didn't keep it swept of slippery leaves! Felt a bit excluded from main hotel as we were in more modern block. One breakfast morning in there would have been nice.
The Hotel was very picturesque and very comfortable. The views were amazing and the rooms themselves were excellent, more like apartments.Fabulous queen sized bed. Leisure facilities at the hotel were excellent. All you could want. We had a lovely meal in the fine dining restaurant. All you could wish for for an escape weekend. Thanks
Nothing at all. All fabulous.
Facilities showed good potential.
The bed was too hard to sleep on. Neither of us were able to get any sleep. Gave us a negative impression of the entire place.
Great value for money. Staff were really friendly and efficient. We were with elderly relatives but also ideal for families with children
Breakfast selection and service was very.
Thought the room looked very worn and tired especially the two chairs which were very dirty. Needed a replacement electric jug the one we had was very dirty inside and the steps, deck and hand rail needed maintenance doing to them. We where disappointed.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The facilities are great too.
We booked a family room that transpired to be a double and a z-bed for my 16 yr old. Whether this is a computer/booking problem (as described to us by the hotel? or booking.com issue? we still don't know, or are sure of what we paid for? The hotel's manor house is seperate to the actual rooms (seperate lodges almost) which is a bit weird.
The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Wonderful grounds and facilities. Good for couples, friends and families. Will definitely stay again.
The rooms where they put us as not in the main hotel was like staying at butlins
Room and gardens. Indoor pool
Parking a little inconvenient especially in wet weather. Pool Spa temperature cool
It is a beautiful property. The quaint town of Beaulieu is just a short drive away. Taking a ferry from here to the Isle of Wight was very convenient. Kids enjoyed the use of the pool.
There was no wifi in the room.
the pool the big spacious bed! the relaxed feel in the evening
the chef in the steak bar who seemed to have little care for the waitress on 2 separate days who were running around apologising for his mistakes - not really fair but Christina and the lady on the Tuesday tried their best!
Facilities were good (use of indoor and outdoor pool) Helpfulness of the staff
Some rooms were very tired and in poor condition, I booked to separate stays and had to ask to move on the second stay as the room was in poor condition. Cleanliness could also do with improvement as I even the good room had stains/marks on the bathroom door. Gardens would have been really good if they were better maintained, there would have been nice places to stroll but it was all overgrown and neglected.
We have a 2 year old. The hotel is really baby friendly! Cot provided in the room. Heated indoor swimming pool has a small shallow section of 65cm height for little one to swim. Changing room has a playpen, all this had made our visit enjoyable. The ground is stunning! View us breathtaking, can see beautiful harbour. There is a secret children playground inside the woods, nsxt to tennis court. We found out by accident, could have been advertised more, also welcome pack on arrival. We son loved the teddy bear shampoo. They didn't give it to us on arrival, only when I checked out we saw the sign and asked for it. Again, really baby friendly! My son had great fun there! Would go back if there is good offer again! We paid 130 so thing for bed only, I think it's worthy for its facility and great day out.
Breakfast is bit over price. £17.5 each! We had continental ones at the end (8 each). Location is bit far. Really south end of the new forest. Don't think there is much apart from this hotel resort,
