This is a lovely old hall which has been run by as a hotel for some time by the same family and is currently being run by Jane and her husband, They really can't do enough for you and although I had booked a single room, was upgraded to a double room with four-poster bed, as one was available. I was offered a drink as soon as I arrived and both the evening meal and breakfast were lovely and definitely recommend the local cheeses served with dinner. The only warning I would give is that if staying on business then dinner finishes at 7.00pm and breakfast doesn't normally start 'til 8.30 (although I was offered an earlier breakfast, complete with newspaper )so may not be the best option, but overall was very comfortable and welcoming. I also managed to leave things behind which were forwarded onto me without any hassle...

What didn't we like about Elm Grove? It's just lovely, horses grazing outside, in a quaint little village - but with a great pub with excellent menus and stuff to do, grand entrance hall and elegant rooms and utterly amazing customer service. I always worry in reviews when people mention the host and hostess by name because I worry I will find them intrusive as I'm having a break with my boyfriend, but Jane and Alan are just wonderful, professional, nice people who really helped us with absolutely anything we needed. What a great place. We will certainly go back! I really like antiques, traditional decor, creaky floorboards, and free standing baths so I was made up - but if you like clean lines, clutter free surfaces and plastic, you would not be at home here. Breakfast is great too and the place is spotless :-)

Everything! The owners are excellent and make every efforts to ensure a fantastic stay in the countryhouse. Its a 150 year old building with all required amenities, so one can feel the old in the comfort of new here. The scenic beauty is excellent and Tenby beachside is just 10 minute drive.

I liked the original features of the house and the decor. The house was very well maintained and everything was clean and dust free. There were personal touches and I was made to feel at home. The fact that the couple who own the house also live there, helped to give it a homely feel. I only had breakfast, which was excellent. As I arrived quite late the night before, I missed the evening meal but was grateful for the sandwiches that were freshly made and left in my room for me. I would have liked to have stayed longer to explore the area and the lovely walks down to the coast. I look forward to staying there again.

We were given very useful advice from the owner about places to visit. We followed all the recommendations and were not disappointed. The national trust walk from Stackpole was spectular. Also within a short distance and on a stormy day St Bride's Hotel provides great food and an amazing view across the bay. The Guest House is in a great location- but also very pleasing and comfortable to return to at the end of the day. Our room was a generous size, we also had large windows overlooking the fields. It was very peaceful!Would definitely like to stay again. Nothing major - plumbing a bit dodgy!

Everything about the hotel was brilliant. The hosts were fabulous and attentive, nothing was too much for them. As I was celebrating my 50th they made me feel very special. I cannot find any fault with this hotel and would and will be recommending it to everyone. The Hotel 19th century, and its furnishings just gave it that special charm. The location was great just how I'd like to spend my time away, great countryside, close to beaches and towns. Everything was spotless and clean, rooms tidied daily etc. Beautiful can't wait to go again.

A real surprise - 'Guesthouse' can sometimes give the wrong impression; this was a fine hotel in all but name. The owners were incredibly friendly and some of the little touches were lovely. Walking through the front door for the first time was like stepping back in time - anyone who loves National Trust properties would love this place. I would recommend it to anyone who just wants a quiet, peaceful few days away from it all.

I liked where it is situated, up a nice driveway and very private, easily within walking distance of the village. While the house is old it is very elegant, especially liked the four poster bed, lovely place to relax.

We found Elm Grove Country House to be very welcoming and friendly. The staff were friendly and efficient and the rooms very clean. The food was also excellent and the owners were on hand at all times. The Georgian house as well as the tree lined entrance is lovely and the whole experience was better than we had expected. Even the weather was kind to us. We would not hesitate to return or to recommend it to others.
