In a beautiful, tranquil location, nestled amongst acres of lawns and fields, this charming 4-star country house has been run by the Rees family for 50 years.

This elegant Georgian house has an idyllic setting in its own delightful grounds in the picturesque village of St. Florence, 3 miles from Tenby. During your stay, you can explore the interesting village inns, historic Flemish chimneys and enjoy the peaceful setting of this colourful, fragrant village, which has blossomed into one of the foremost floral villages in Britain.

The historic building boasts plenty of period charm and beautiful original features, including marble fireplaces, panelled doorways and large picture windows. All of the attractive, individually decorated rooms are en suite and include bathrobes among all other excellent modern facilities.

Elm Grove Country House is a 4-star rated Country House, as graded by the Welsh Tourist Board.

In the grounds there is a croquet lawn, a grass tennis court, children's play area and games room (open at all times). In the house you will find a tasteful blend of original furnishings, such as marble fireplaces and cornice ceilings, polished wooden floors and modern décor. The atmosphere is one of elegance and luxury - a world of difference from the way it would have been during the Second World War, when school girls from London were housed here.

For guests with disabilities, please note that there are 5 steps to the front of the building, but a level access at the rear. There are also 2 ground floor bedrooms.

Please note that the Elm Grove Country House does not cater for hen and stag parties.

Food & beverage

Evening meals are available at an additional cost, by prior arrangement when booking. Evening meals are served between 18:30 - 19:-00 and consist of 3 courses plus coffee, all for a fixed price. Please note that evening meals may not be available on certain dates during the year. If you would like dinner on the night of arrival please call 24 hours in advance to check for availability.

All the rooms are individually decorated and have their own character, in keeping with the period of this beautiful country house. Rooms are located across 3 floors, with 2 rooms on the ground floor.

Elm Grove Country House is within easy reach of many of Pembrokeshire's best-known towns and attractions, including Tenby, Saundersfoot, Oakwood, Heatherton and a range of historic sites.

Some of the best beaches in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park are also just a short drive away, including the popular beaches in Tenby or the quieter coves and beaches further up the coast near Barafundle and Bosherston.

The country house's convenient central location also makes it a great base for walkers and cyclists alike, and Elm Grove has proven popular for those enjoying these pursuits throughout the season.

Travel information

By road: From London, take the m4 from the Midlands. Take the m5 into Wales and travel to the end of motorway. Join the a40 to Carmarthen and join the a477 to Kilgetty to the village of Redbreth, then into the village of St. Florence.
