Elstead Hotel  

We are well used to finding accomodation a little less than described. Here everything was as you'd expect. Thank you.

very nice hotel with friendly staff and good size room. good pool and sauna/steam room, good breakfast and good parking.

sjightly puzzled by the price we paid as the ticket price was £59 and we paid nearly £200 for 3 nights

room was good swimming pool was unclean - looked as if it is not regularly cleaned food in restaurent was basic hotel a distance from the beach

The receptionist was very accommodating as was The night porter

Check out was 10.30 and the house keepers Were far too keen and bullish to get us out of the Room

Clean & well appointed rooms

We are a young faily with a 1 year old. I thought the welcome was very nice even though we arrive at 12 midnight! The room was very large and warm. We thought it was very quiet and never heard anyone just a few doors closing in the morning. The tea and biscuits very nice and the use of a pot. Breakfast was exceptonal. Excellent service and very accommodating. Would recommend for the price including breakfast.

We could find very little fault with our stay.

Excellent Hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Large room, with all the facilities. Breakfast was excellent hot and cold buffet, inc. Hot Cross Buns for Easter. Unfortunatly did'nt get chance to use the leisure facilities but will certainly return.

Only slight issue was creaky floorboards, but can overlook this given the excellent service and facilities. This is an individual hotel with atmosphere and character not a sterile corporate chain hotel.

Friendliness of Staff.

Unfortunately, the leisure facilities (pool etc.) didn't reflect the promotional pictures, rather disappointing.

Creaky lifts, idnt feel safe. We had one evening meal in the hotel which did not reach the standard of the breakfasts. The meat could have been anything. When a coach party was in the breakfast was lovely and hot but when there was none the breakfast was only warm. Shame

- good rate - good spacious room - good breakfast choice - good service as not many people staying - convenient location for what we had to do over the two days - good parking (as the hotel was not busy)

- not very welcoming member of reception staff - did the basics - same person on checking out - again did the basics - didn't even ask if the stay was ok - no please or thank you from this person - coffee too strong (provide hot water with coffee)

Very pleasant staff, warm atmosphere & cleanliness. I chose to eat elsewhere so can`t comment on the food, but did here positive comments from other people that did. I did make use of the leisure facilities which were good apart from the smelly drains in the showers, minor issue really.
