Location & price
Had to ask for hairdryer
Great location for anyone going to see Strictly. Very warm welcome.
we were going to elstree studios to be in audience of strictly come dancing - eistree inn is ten minutes walk from studios with own car park two minutes from a range of pubs and restaurants - we had a good time in the turkish one opposite the inn
not a lot - ok the inn could do with a bit of updating but staff are great very helpful and for the money paid - we thought rather than drive back home we would make it a strictly come dancing weekend
Excellent location if you're visiting the Elstree Studios. Small problem with shower was fixed promptly.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Beds were very uncomfortable just springs with thin cover. Luggage rack fell apart when we opened it, we mended it but opted to our put cases on the floor. We used the towels to make the bed more bearable but when I went to get them off the towel rail, that collapsed too! At this point we were laughing histerically, but managed to mend that too! So if anything it was entertaining! We didnt risk the shower just in case that fell apart too! The window was broken which meant we couldn't shut it, so was very drafty and noisy being in the main road. Once we dusted the coffee sachets off and found somewhere to stand the kettle where it actually reached a plug socket that worked, the hot drinks were lovely!
Location to venue
Faulty tap, faulty toilet seat, tricky shower to operate. Room very tired needed decorating. Most importantly the room stank of cigarettes and even with the window open smelt. Above pub so noise late.
Close to Elstree Studios Close to high street shops and restaurants
En Suite was like a caravan bathroom Room was too small for twin beds Window didn't shut properly so cold all night and could hear lots of noise as above a pub Could hear other peoples TV's and music from the pub Lots of banging of doors Beds not comfy Very old fashioned and slightly mucky looking
Superb location. Weatherspoons on hand for quick breakfast. Great value for money.
Location was ideal. It is a short drive down the A41 to "The Making of Harry Potter" at Warner Brother Studios in Leavesden and a short walk to the station for the train into London. It was a very basic hotel but ideal for my group of friends and a great place to get your head down after a hectic day! Parking was great - right outside the reception. Restaurants were in walking distance, as was the cinema and large supermarket. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Really enjoyed our stay, thank you -x-
The bed was a wee bit squishy - but the amenities were adequate for what my friends and I needed and for the closeness to London - it was a bargain! So, not really a dislike!
Location was perfect, bed was very comfortable, and tv well positioned to watch in bed. Staff helpful, and provided a kettle when pointed out it was missing.
The bathroom was little more than a converted cupboard, fine in theory, but wasn't very clean or well maintained. The position of the toilet ment havng to have the door to the room open whilst sat, not ideal with a view of the main street outside!
Lovely staff. Excellent location if visiting Elstree studios.
Service was terrible! Wouldn't send my worst enemy here!
The training session on how to operate a door
dated, in need of refurbishment, but you get what you pay for!
I liked that the staff were realy freindly and the location was good for where i was going. The facilities were good and very qieut at night. Would book this hotel again
It would have been good if breakfast had been available
Close to M1/A1 for travelling North. 7-8 minutes drive from Stanmore Tube station.
Parking a farce. Poor no of spaces. Ended parking 200 metres away from hotel & had to move the car at 8am due to parking restrictions starting. Hotel & room clean but very run down & needs a refurbishment. Worst hotel we have stayed at for the cost. Won't stop there again ever!!!.
It was relatively easy to find. The person who greeted us was very helpful.
The place needs demolishing. It was basically a run down tenement slum. Fixtures and fittings were broken, the corridors dimly lit and the decoration was non-existent. I will never ever set foot in the place again and I am just grateful that it confirmed that poor is what you get when you try to book on the cheap.
Comfy bed. Friendly staff Great value for money Warm
Location & price
Soft Bed, poor bathroom, shower temperature uncontrollable, No chair in the room, Wifi advertised but not available
Friendly staff, value for money and good location
Place could do with some tlc and updating and a thorough clean up.
It was good value for money for a short visit. Good for my budget to visit my son. Bathroom quaint and you need a sense of humour to appreciate it. It was comfortable and I would stay again
New carpet needed, a new lamp, a good Polish and tea & coffee tray not stocked up. It would not cost much to get it to a good standard.
The location was excellent. Right on the high street with plenty of shops and eateries.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable. I weigh 9 stone and the mattress still sank into the middle and springs dug into my body. The quilt was extremely thin! The shower area was very tiny and the toilet didnt ever fully flush. The boiling kettle had to go on the floor as that's where the socket was. Quite dangerous. The walls were paper thin and can hear everyone walking past your room late and early hours, also you can hear people talking in the next room. Not ideal for a good nights sleep, especially if you are working the next morning.
Clare the receptionist is an absolute diamond! Nothing is too much trouble for her. Delightful. And no I never met her before!
A little bit shabby but we were warm and safe and slept well.
It's really easy to find, plenty of parking available and we were immediately made to feel very welcome by the friendly and helpful lady at the desk. The room was clean and tidy, with a strong Wi-Fi signal. Easy walking distance from the studios, plenty of shops and places to eat very nearby.
It's true that it needs updating but this is in hand according to the staff.
