The hotel was comfortable and although there was a wedding on there was no noise as our room was in the annexe. Beds comfortable room adequate. Breakfast very good. Didnt rate the evening meals. Not enough choice on the menu. Bar menu had better choice.

Handy location for us Clean and spacious rooms The night we stayed the hotel had a themed evening in the restaurant meaning it was fully booked, and no other eating option was offered meaning we had to leave the hotel to dine. Although we'd booked eight weeks prior to our stay this had never been mentioned to us.

we always stay at the elton best weston in rotheram. the staff are really friendly the rooms are always lovely and cosy and we have had breakfast on occasion and the service and food was very good . and as we are pensioners we always look for price and they have always been good value and occasionally get a special offer which also helps. .we will always stay there if we go up to rotheram to see the family cause they are really great. absolutely nothing . maybe extra tea and milk in the rooms but thats it.and we can always ask for more when we want . so no complaints whatsoever.

John says the breakfast, and I agree it was great. I however found it very comfortable and relaxed, which was so good after a long journey. For me it was also that we could take our dog with us, and he was made to feel at home as well. He loved the doggie bag with the sausages. Many Thanks Linda Etheridge .

Nice clean hotel with all the facilities we needed. Especially enjoyed the Yorkshire breakfast. Our ony complaint was the size of the 'double' rooms (rms 3 & 5) which were ok as we were only staying 1 night but would have been too small for an extended stay.

Very comfortable, friedly & helpful staff, excellent & real food - real chips, freah salad & fruit; seems to be almost no "processed" ingredients; breakfasts especially yummy. Not a criticism, more an observation. Don't be in a hurry when dining in the evening as the delivery of your order will be somewhat relaxed although definitely worth it when it arrives. No such issues for brekkie, though - very prompt, hot & tasty!

The standard of cleanliness in the room was very poor especially in the bathroom. The food in the restaurant was disappointing and over priced.

The resturant meal was excellent. The rooms were large and tastefully decorated. They asked us to wait in the bar for a predinner drink while they got the table ready- I had booked it an hour before- we arrived- this was a ploy to get us to drink an extra glass before we started the meal. However- the meal when it arrived- was excellent.

I liked the reception by the night worker who was on duty. I also enjoyed the breakfast set up. 1. There was no air freshener in the toilet. 2. Given that the room was booked for a family, we found it awkward to find only two cups and insufficient resources to make tea and coffee. 3. In the bathroom, courtesy foam bath could have helped as on our first day we found out we had forgotten to bring some. 4.And lastly, it helps to put extra bedding in case the weather changes like it did for us and we became a little uncomfortable.

The hotel is in a nice quiet location but not far from the motorways. Its unfortunate that the tap water has a notice saying not to drink it yet there is no bottled water in the rooms. Some of the light fittings did not work and had been left in that state with notices on them

Good food, excellent breakfast with wide selection including cooked. Attentive, friendly and very helpful staff. Room was smallest I've ever stayed in, about 9 ft square, Decor & fittings very dated. Food although good, was priced at a premium, likewise with the bar. Very small selection of beers and no draught ales to speak of.

Comfortable and homely room. Excellent breakfast. Some helpful staff Shower head didn't spray properly No lift to upstairs bedrooms only steep narrow stairs. Should have a bell on the desk at reception to notify hotel staff that assistance is required as the desk was left unmanned. More information should be given by receptionist at check-in (E.G. breakfast times, location of room, and offer of assistance for baggage if the room is located upstairs).

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The location suited us as this was the nearest hotel to a Family gathering, The rooms were dated with wall paper falling off, black mould around the bath at floor level. The bathroom door frame was rotten at floor level. Despite the main bedroom having 5 lights in total the room was dark and dingy and on a dismal rainy day the room was quite depressing. When we arrived at Breakfast the dining room was nearly empty and as I wanted to read the paper I chose a table near a window but was asked to move to an area confined to 5 tables which were fully set for Breakfast. The table we first chose only needed tea cups for it to be set up. We were moved to a table for two isolated between the buffet serving area and the main thorough fair, it was like sitting in a coridoor, The area we were moved to was poorly lit and near impossible to read. This shepherding of guests into a small confined area may help the hotel staff, but if you want to read or have a bit of Privacy - tough! The Hotel is in need of a refurbishment. Staff should consider customer needs,
