Elva Lodge Hotel  

La chambre était très propre et la salle de bains venait d'être rénovée. Le personnel était charmant. Décoration typiquement anglaise; le bar et la salle du petit déjeuner sont consacrés à l'apologie de l'aviron.

Good location and great value for money. We had a larger executive room and the facilities were excellent, though the decor is a little dated. Very friendly and efficient staff - one in particular, the receptionist, was extremely helpful and happy to open the bar early for us so we could get together with our friends on arrival.

Outstanding accommodation. Staff were most welcoming, kind, inviting and accommodating, just great. Room perfect. Loved the feel of the entire place.

Getting in at night if you are out late is challenging as you must ring the bell and apparently (after we were reprimanded) that disturbs all the other guests.

Very friendly staff, lots of character in the communal rooms and bedroom. Immaculately clean. Great breakfast

The restaurant is only open Mon - Thur with only bar meals available Fri - Sun. That said, we enjoyed the haddock and chips from the bar menu so not a problem

We chose the Elva Lodge based on the price, location and good reviews that we saw online. It is walkable distance into Maidenhead, and has its own car park for residents. The staff were very friendly, the hotel spotlessly clean, and although the double room we were in was a little on the small side, it had everything in it you would expect from a hotel. The bed and bedding made for a very comfortable nights sleep. The self service breakfast was very good, and the staff very cheerful. All in all a lovely hotel, and highly recommended!!

A very comfortable and friendly hotel. The breakfast was excellent. Only a walk away from shops but easy to get to green belt for walking by thr river. This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised.

Pleasant reception no hassle allowed to book in early. The room though not big was comfortable, adequate and clean. The decor was pleasant and easy.Plenty of hot water and towels however there weren't many rooms occupied so that could make difference on the water. The town is only 10 minutes walk away and there are other pub/restraunt nearby and the rail station is two minutes drive.We slept well no noise and the bed was fine. The breakfast was filling and good, nice bacon, sausage and a freshly cooked egg was given on request and more tea/coffee and toast.Must add the young lady assisting us at breakfast was a gem. Guess what her nationality is, be surprised! Overall a good hotel at reasonable prices.

The welcome was pleasant. I arrived around 7pm tired so the bedroom was small but adequate and just wanted to sleep as I had an early start the next day. I appreciated that the room was quiet and no noise from the party being held that evening. The staff were pleasant and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere while having breakfast the next morning. Also good to have some tea/coffee making facilities.

As I was trying to open the window to get some air in I noticed that the net curtains were not very clean and the window frame dirty. I do like having the window opened but had to close it as I was a bit worried about being on the ground floor and by the car park.

The room was at the top of the building so comfortable and quiet. Although service was slow when serving food, the food was excellent. The atmosphere amongst the staff was like a huge family, very friendly. Plenty of parking on site.

The decor was a bit dated and the tv only had 5 channels. The wifi was not very good.
