good location very clean
the ac was too noisy the room was a bit small for a family room
Location is great - it's steps away from the tube (Lancaster Gate) and you're only a few blocks from Notting Hill. You're also right at Hyde Park. Paddington Station is within walking distance. Free wi-fi is a good bonus, but it tended to be a little slow. Bathrooms were renovated and clean.
The room was very small, even by London standards. This is a bare bones experience. Be prepared to use the room for sleeping and showering only. Walls are thin - you will know when you have neighbors.
Quiet, good location, nice staff
Great location Friendly and helpful staff Very clean Room cleaned every day. Great quality linen and towels Quiet Good, quiet airconditioning unit in room Bathroom newly refurbished As a solo traveller felt very safe
Very small room and bathroom but for the price it is to be expected in Central London.
Good location, close to underground. The english brekfast was excellent, the staff was very polite. The tee-kettle in the room was a good surprise. The Wi-Fi worked always and had a speedy one. The price was relatively good.
The payment method was too strict, we had to pay the whole price for 8 nights in advance without cancellation possibility. But it's true, that was the cheapest method, so we choose this.
very good location, very central, subway just around the corner, clean, staff very friendly
very small room
Liked that is is close to Hyde Park.
Felt cramped the whole time.
LOCATION AND STAFF.
BATHROOM VERY VERY SMALL FOR 3 PEOPLE - SIZE OF A SMALL CELLAR.
quite near Paddington station and parks loads of shops and restaurants close by
Bathroom was tiny and door opens inwards. Booking very unflexible. Staff was rather unknowing at times (such as: when we're checking out). Telly very bad.
Good location. The guy on the desk during the day was very helpful.
Had to iron in the public bar. Maid threw away all of my toiletries. Tiny rooms, not worth the GBP100 a night. Thin walls, could hear next door snoring etc.
Location was great very close to Paddington Station, buses and Tube. Staff was very helpful. Room and bathroom very clean.
Room was smaller then our cabin on the ship we were on. English breakfast was not good. Eggs not cooked and not use to having baked beans and mushrooms as side dishes for breakfast. Would not purchase the breakfast ahead of time. Also, there was a bar and grill across the street that was noisy. It was quite by 10pm.
the location is perfect, just next to the hyde park, and underground is just right the corner. very safe even for the solo woman traveller. good nearby places should you need to eat late at night. oxford shopping is just straight walk through the park and you are there. really liked the location. could keep my luggage in the locker room for a while
poor breakfast. better eat outside for this money. the tiny single room. more than one person can not fit even for a minute standing, not mentioning sleeping =). i really mean it. good for those who don't plan to spend much time in the room but rather just sleep and have shower like i did.
Location excellent. Small, clean hotel with friendly staff. Perfect base for sight-seeing/shopping in London. This was our 2nd time here & would book again.
Room was small but served its purpose!
Friendly , obliging front- desk staff and cleaning staff.. Excellent servicing of rooms and great showers !
The bar lounge area looking like a bargin basement shop ! The promotional pictures of the inside lounge not matching up to the real thing ! For a single person that shared lounge / bar facility is a very important social meeting place . Difficult fire -doors to negotiate large bags through when on own!
I took the single small room for the price. It certainly lived up to its name! However, the hotel is nice, the staff were friendly and I was happy with the stay. It was fine for a one night overnight before I caught my plane.
internet, kind people
size of the room, very old building, sad atmosphere
Clean, beautiful room.
Cold A/C, CLEAN, GREAT location, room was small but was expecting that so not an issue, it was a place to sleep for our stay.
Tv was messed up but no big deal, staff was okay, bed was a little hard but hardly noticed. Overall will be coming back!
Location near Hyde Park and underground stations was excellent. Easy walk to many interesting locations, good pub across the street. Many restaurants just a couple blocks away. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The only down side was that my room was very cramped. There was only very little space outside the double bed. Nowhere to put a large-ish suitcase. Although there is a very small table and chair, it's not really that useful, and there is no practical place to sit other than on the bed.
Very clean, and friendly.
A good location, clean, no major problems.
This is the smallest room I have EVER been in -- and I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, from Paris to Hong Kong. It was about the size of a large cupboard, so small that the door hit the bed. I wouldn't mind except that I had to pay 83 GBP for this cupboard, and usually gets you much better accomodation even in London.
Great location, close to train stops.
The location was really good, close to trains, especially ;Paddington Station so getting from Heathrow was easy. Room size/location good value for London. Quite. Staff are pretty good.
Shower a little tight and we are not big people.
great location family room availble but tiny
better hotels in area for similiar price
