Holiday Inn Express East Midlands Airport  

Excellent location for our flight from ema the following morning. Beautifully warm, comfortable and clean. Polite and helpful staff. Excellent continental breakfast the following morning, which was absolutely ideal before our early morning flight to Majorca. We would definitely use the hotel again.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very convenient for the airport. It gave us a more leisurely start to our holiday in Madeira reducing the need for a very early morning trip to catch an early flight. Nice to be able to have a breakfast at a more normal time.

convenience from motorway, easy to find.was snowed in ,so had to eat in,Saturday evening,food was sufficient, but overpriced.Breakfast was wonderful,plenty of everything.1 girl in particular was very good and helpful.she was there when we arrived,still on duty saturday evening & working again sunday morning

Stayed for one night as handy for airport.Quick check in.Comfy rooms.Tea and coffee making facilities in room.Parking on site. Decent tv channels.Nice hot shower.Price was excellent for an airport stay( as I booked early and got a discount) and included a decent breakfast with hot options.

Room smelt very 'musty' and of drains when we first went in.It was quite over powering.We were on the ground floor.Plumbing was very noisy, even during the night it was making a noise, gurgling and so on, which woke me up.Bath towels were to the very bare minimum, really small if you are a larger person.I Would only stay there again if it were a special offer deal, I would not pay the full price.Do not agree with having to pay for onsite parking,even though it was 4 pounds sterling for 24 hours, I think it should be free for residents and normally if a hotel charges for parking,I would not stay, but on this occasion as the room was a good price I decided to book.

Food and particularly drink are quite expensive for what it is, staff excuse is that it's by an airport, so what, how does that justify high bar prices, for example £5.55 for a bottle of Magners.

The hotel is about 4 minutes from the airport but the ad doesn't say it's a £6 taxi fare each way, this makes the alternative hotel on the airport more attractive even at a higher room rate, if you are using the airport of course.

When I booked the hotel I booked car parking separately. The hotel staff were helpful and informative. We stayed at the hotel on our return journey. The flight was delayed, so we arrived in the middle of the night, tired and not in the best of spirits.Check in was quick and efficient. In the morning we did not feel rushed to check out and the whole experience was positive. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

The chicken burger was tough and I did not enjoy it at all. It was obviously a frozen meal. The scrambled eggs were old and had a 'film' over them. Everything apart from the food was good.
