Occupants of room above walking up and down noisily most of the night. I think they were consoling a small child. This presumably couldn't be avoided.
I was staying with my daughter and 16 month old grand daughter. This was the first time we had stayed in an apartment complete with kitchen - wonderful to have facilities on tap for heating bottle, making snacks and chilling wine. Pam, the Receptionist, was helpful and friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Embassy to anyone needing accommodation in Glasgow.
The road is quiet yet near to Byres Road for shopping plus Botanic gardens, Kelvingrove Park etc. There is an excellent craft beer shop nearby. Everything was clean and well-kept and well-supplied. Internet was good.
Room (no 3) was rather dark by day and night and kitchen only had one spotlight which didn't light the worktops, sink or cooker very well. Bed was a bit squeaky, although we slept well.
No hot water in the morning
The room is spacious and is old fashioned
We were given the former billiard room. Very friendly landlady, and a very large, formerly upper-class, beautifully renovated apartment. Also Glasgow as a city was a strong positive surprise. Next time a longer stay!
Room was lovely, view was good. Botanical gardens across the road. Gene was helpful and friendly. Room was spacious, kitchen well fitted. Very clean. Great place to stay after 26hours travell. Thank you.
If we had to say anything it would only be that the water pressure in shower was less than what we are used to but doubt that it matters or that it can be changed.
Location excellent. Very good breakfast. Quiet & comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Good facilities eg. microwave, iron, hair drier etc.
Décor not to my taste (but that's purely subjective). Shower head not very adjustable, difficult to use effectively.
Location and convenience of apartments.
Can't think of anything.
Excellent positioning for West End Glasgow and botanical gardens. V quiet. Stayed as a tag on after business elsewhere in Scotland. Would stay again and would recommend to others.
Location was excellent, right next to the botanic gardens and walking distance to west end shops and subway
Not really a problem but there was a dressing table that was not needed and took up space that could have been used better.
Cheap price, friendly staff, good location in Glasgow's West End. Most of the apartment was well cleaned on arrival, except for dishes
Overpowering toilet freshener smell pervading the room, made it hard to eat in the room. Very stuffy when windows closed. Broken lights. Dishes in kitchen weren't that clean
Just what we were looking for, the apartments were spotlessly clean and very quiet.
Large and spacious rooms On site car parking
A bit far from city centre
The size of the 2 room apartment was very good as was the very quiet location at the back of the building.
The shower room was very small for the size of the apartment and for the fact that it can sleep 5 (we were a group of 3) so no problem. Cobwebs on the very high ceiling.
The location was great, spacious and clean. Comfortable and clean.
A little difficult to find, and parking was a challenge. Do your homework and make sure you know where you are going.
Convenience to Byres road and botanical gardens and comfort of bed
The noise of the people moving around above us during the night and when leaving the apartment early in the morning
Massive room size, comfortably accomidates families with 2 or 3 kids.
It was a bit of a walk to the nearest metro/train station.
The location and the room were fantastic with plenty of space
There were no laundry facilities within the building which is quite challenging when it is meant to be an apartment. Also, the fridge leaked and was not fixed or replaced.
Closed to Botanic Garden/ Facility is very good with big room
Nice cosy and comfortable
Comfortable apartment and very quiet. Close to interesting shops, bars and restaurants on Byres Road and Great Western Road. Also close to subway access to Glasgow city centre.
Shower not working on day of arrival or the next morning, resulting in having to use a shower in hotel building instead. This entailed going outside in the morning to access hotel, next door to the apartment. Was fixed by evening on the second day.
Good location for West End & easy parking if you arrive by car. Good, pleasant and helpful staff. The room and indeed overall building provides clean accommodation.
Most things are positive but if I was pushed to find something, the decor is not to my taste although this is balanced by the nice original features in the large high ceiling rooms.
The apartment was spacious enough and fully accessorized
Bath vent was noisy The bath sink had separate outlet for hot and cold water the trousers press was not working slow wifi overall room would need restoring
