We stayed in room 9 which was a good size, nicely decorated with a modern clean en suite. The casement windows were an original feature of the building and would probably be wonderful in summer when calm and sunny. View of the sea from the room. Very comfortable. The public areas, reception, dining room and bar were modern yet retaining good original features and clean. The restaurant. Choice of menu shown in the reception does not indicate what is actually available. From an extensive menu, very little available to order. Also, breakfast only warm, not hot.

The Embassy Hotel is a very pleasent place to stay. The gentleman who greeted us was very friendly and helpful, showed us where all the facilities were and explained when/what times things happened. The decoration of the hotel made me feel as though I was in a very regal hotel. My room was decorated well, although one of the lightbulbs didn't have a bulb in it. I would definatley recommend this hotel :) When we first entered the room it was cold and had a damp feeling which disappeared when we turned the heating on. It would have been better if the heater had been turned on prior to oiur stay just to take the chill out of the air. There was also just a few hairs in the bath/sink which wasn't very pleasant. When we went down to dinner/breakfast we didn't know whether we had to wait to be seated or to just sit down ourselves, in the end we just sat down and waited to be served. The pictures on the website also showed outside views of the seafront/bowling green when in actual fact the hotel is the other end of the seafront and set back a road.

We thought the hotel was brilliant. After ringing them in a panic because we knew we could not get there for the 10pm booking in limit they kindly left a member of staff on the desk until we arrived some time later. They also phoned for a taxi for us when we needed one. Everywhere was clean and comfortable and we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. It is near enough to walk out of the door and along the sea front. The breakfast was fine for my partner as she does not have a big appetite, but a bit sparse for my appetite. Having said that I still think it represented excellent value for money for what we paid.

Good value for money. Hats off to hotel for charging very reasonable prices in bar. Having to pay a deposit for a remote control for tv. Bath tap fell off as did towel holder (disappointing as already mentioned by a previous guest in a review, so plenty of time to be rectified)

From the moment we walked in it had a warm friendly feeling. The room and en suite were almost as big as our Bungalow. The staff couldn't do enough for all the guests. The food was excellent, however I was disappointed with the mixed grill because I love Liver and Kidneys, but I got neither. I asked the waiter (foreign) why this was not explained to me when I ordered, he just smiled and walked away. The next morning we had a wonderful Full English - the waitress was brilliant and she never stopped she looked after all of us. Thanks to all the staff.

Excellent and friendly service from staff. The restaurant had just opened that evening, so we decided to eat there with a 50% discount on food and free champagne. I wouldn't say the food was fab, but it was ok. I would have been disappointed if I had paid full price. The decor in all public areas was excellent, although the double room was a little tired, but good value for money all round. Friendly staff and great location for the seafront.

I thought my room was clean and well presented with a very comfortable bed and chairs. The staff were very helpful and efficient who made you feel welcome. The hotel's dinning area and bar were equally well clean and presentable. I would stay here again.

Freindly staff, relaxed atmosphere and the location was great for the sea front, bars and places to eat. Nothing to say here, for the money we paid it was great value.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel was warm and comfortable in addition the breakfast was freshly prepared and very tasty. The hotel itself was off the seafront, our room had a view of the sea, which made it convenient and quiet. Ample free road parking in front of the hotel

Perfektní místo přímo naproti Sea Life Centre, blízko krásné pláže a u různých hospůdek a stánků. Krásný cenově dostupný hotel, měli jsme nádherný pokoj s velkou koupelnou. Exkluzivní snídaně.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful - rooms were clean and adequate, yes the furniture had marks on them where previous guests had placed hot drinks on wood, but again furnishings were adequate and functional. Breakfasts were good and the fillet steak I had in the restaurant in the evening was excellent. There was a slight musty smell in the bathroom, but put on the extractor and opened the window for a couple of minutes and that had gone.

-Very close to the beach. -Reasonably priced. -Good decor in the bedroom. -Towel rail fell off the wall. -First room had zipped up beds which was not suitable for a couple. -Coffee stains on the wall and carpet. - Kettle very unclean inside. -No supplies of toilet roll -Restaurant waitor was not well informed of the meals on the menu which was unprofessional and made us feel un-informed. -Waiting time in restaurant and bar area poor, we would advise extra staff to ensure flow of guests is dealt with appropiately. In regards to cleanliness and faults of the room; it would be easy to spend a extra 5 minutes on these areas.
