Very easy to check in. Comfortable and very quiet rooms (no aircon hum)
Needed a half way stay between Bristol and London very last minute this place was perfect and I would definitely stay there again.
This time unfortunately I didn't have time to try the food at the inn but next time I'll make sure I do.

Breakfast overpriced and warmed up. Staff were not helpful. Stating we had not booked. When I had booked on their website. After breakfast a member of staff made us give our card details!!!! When we had provided details when booking. Not impressed. I cancelled the next day’s breakfast. However when going to pay they had not cancelled the second breakfast but charged us. The receptionist removed this from the bill.
Location was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel and grounds exceptional. Also gym very good. The food overpriced.

Nice town. Have visited a few pubs/restaurants there over a few years. Always good food/friendly atmosphere. Decent golf course nearby (Sonning) which is usually my reason to visit each year.

Just off the M4 Wokingham is a convenient base to explore both Thames Valley and events at Ascot Racecourse. Places like Henley on Thames and Windsor are easily accessible by road and hotels tend to charge much less. It is also a good jumping off area to London, so attracts visitors from continent who cannot afford / do not want to stay in Central London. Big impressive building in lovely grounds, nothing wrong with the room or the breakfast but the whole interior is in need of a freshen up and it was very quiet as we stayed mid week. The bar was almost empty. Lovely terrace overlooking formal gardens so if weather is warm, a nice place to sit and have a drink. Imagine it would come to life at weekends with weddings and other events.

Breakfast was good and hotel was easy to find. Had a drink in the bar on arrival and it was a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Young man who both served at the bar and dealt with hotel guests was very friendly and helpful. If I have cause to return to Wokingham I would definitely return to the Pheasant.
