décor, layout, location, friendly staff
There seemed to be lots if confusion over the booking and I was told that I had only booked 1 room. They offered a put up bed but then found the booking. The bill was also a bit confusing. We were brought the wrong drinks despite being asked twice. Quite nice staff but not completely on the ball.
The food was good and the decor was v nice.
Good sized room. Nice restaurant
Traffic noise in our room.
Good decor, V comfortable, staff were lovely, Breakfast and the bar good, all the booking details went to plan no problems.
Room a bit on the dark side had to have lights on during day time and the lights were not very effective either, noise from upstairs room.
My single room was on the small side
central clean and comfortable
Could not use lovely modern large shower as no cold water and hot water boiling.
Bar Manager was excellent - Ben has a real desire to deliver a first class stay.
Room 18 while well appointed does suffer from noise from the adjoin room's TV.
Nothing to dislike
the location the rooms the hotel in general
Well located.Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant very good and food of a high standard. Highly recommended
The staff friendliness and sincere care for my comfort was great.
Nothing not to like
Staff were lovely couldn't have been more helpful. We arrived late but fitted us in for evening meal which was delicious. Breakfast was lovely too. Cath on reception and the waitress who served us couldn't have done more. Comfortable, clean room. All good would definitely recommend.
V comfortable. Elegant decor in room. Made to feel welcome. Good bar and restaurant meals.
Shame they hadn't received our twin room request but wasn't a problem.
Absolutely everything was excellent, from accommodation, food and staff were very good as well. Will definitely recommend Emelyn Hotel, fantastic place to stay.
Comfortable, well equiped bedroom and nice breakfast.
A small Hotel with nice rooms and helpful staff.
A bit expensive for where and what it is. Cooked breakfast average and small.
We were made very welcome by the staff and the service in the restaurant was excellent. Also really appreciated the stylish decor in the rooms and the eco credentials of the hotel, including local food use.
Comfortable hotel well located for our visit. A+ bathroom. Good breakfast.
a very friendly and welcoming hotel.all the staff were very helpful.rooms were spotless as was the hotel.breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.will be making a return vist soon if only for the guinness and the hospitality
Clean and the staff were helpful. The stay was OK.
Being woken up at 2.30am by noise from nearby bar. There was much swearing.Breakfast a bit disappointing, sliced brown supermarket bread, and tasteless bacon.Could be improved very easily.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Stairs were a little narrow which made carrying bags up to the room a slight hassel.
For us the position is spot on we have family in the village. It's clean and very comfortable. Only eaten breakfast in the hotel but found it to be of an excellent standard.
We find the price a little high for the time we spend in the hotel , and do not use any of the facilities .
The hotel was very clean with friendly staff. We shall go back to this Hotel when we return to the area.I cannot comment on the hot tub facilities as we did not use them but if they are as good as the rest of the Hotel they should be fine.
We where put on the third floor without a lift, and found the stairs a little hard to take at our time of life
This is a nice old looking 'Coaching Inn' type hotel with good facilities.
It is a bit of an upmarket Travel Lodge but, in my view, somewhat overpriced for what and where it is. Our room was in an annex and a bit of a box - perhaps one is disappointed because from the outside the hotel looks like an old coaching Inn but inside the rooms have little character. The staff are all quite young and, whilst they do try hard, have a lot to do and one feels as if they struggle slightly to cope.
Very well appointed room, comfortable bed. Very good food both from the bar menu and for dinner in the restaurant. I have already booked for my next visit.
Road outside surprisingly noisy for a small village, but not noticeable at night, so it didn't disturb my sleep.
