Excellent hotel and exceptional value for money! The room was fantastic and the staff helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and included in the price and was really delicious! Would recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly be back. This hotel is on a par with some four/five star hotels and is less than half their prices! Everything was above expectations!

We travel a lot, and do find that hotels do not always turn out to look and feel like their online presentation. We chose the Gwesty'r Emlyn because it was close to our friends place, and we could make reservations on line, which we could not do with local b&b'S. We were happily surprised to find a beautiful old building, fully renovated and designed, with lovely people working, and a very generous breakfast. We also found the town of Emlyn to be charming with unexpected quality of shopping, like the Ededa J. There was nothing that disappointed us.

Although we only stayed for one evening, the staff were very welcoming and the room was clean, modern and spacious. The bathroom was excellent with an excellent power shower. The breakfast was very good and the whole experience was of a high standard. We will be back soon to spend a relaxing weekend at Gwesty'r Emlyn and would highly recommend this lovely hotel in this beautiful part of Wales to anyone, whether on holiday or business. The rates are very reasonable, which is something quite refreshing for the British hotel industry! Well done Gwesty'r Emlyn.

Very clean and up to date, freshly refurbished to a very high standard. Staff first rate, nothing was a problem. Inexpensive. Wifi charged after first (free) 10 minutes, as is usual with these arrangements it was simply to hard to complete the online transaction. Would have been more likely to buy Wifi if I could have added it to the bill. (and I don't buy this crock excuse about thick walls, charging for Wifi is just another reason to bleed the customer) No lift is a definite minus on what would otherwise be an excellent hotel.

We picked the hotel because it was central to see 3 counties in wales . It was right in the middle of town with good parking and the walks around the town were lovely. We asked for a quiet room and our room was very quiet no view but we slept very well and the room was lovely. The staff were excellent very helpful and polite. It was a welsh speaking hotel and it was lovely to hear this launguage being used and kept alive. We were house hunting in the area and the hotel manager was happy to answer all of our questions about the area and help us find places we needed to get to. The breakfast was excellent and more than enough to keep you going for the day.We would recommend this hotel to our friends. A very peaceful 3 day break ,thank you to all the staff.

Staff friendly and lovely food! Our room had no window only fire escape and the room was very warm and stuffy! Shame you don't have a family room that accommodates more than 3 people as most families now are between 4-5 people, could put families off because of cost of having to have 2 rooms! Also there was a party at hotel and we were kept awake as my room was at back of hotel where party room was, shame we were not put at front of hotel where the noise level was less! Needs more thought when allocating rooms to parents with young children as we did not sleep well!

Friendly, immaculately clean and comfortable. My room was spacious with an extra room with large tv and leather sofa. Food was very good. I'm looking for an excuse to return. I can't fault this hotel in any way.

It was friendly and warming. The food was wonderful and the staff extremely professional and very helpful. They had lovely smiles on their faces all the time and nothing was too much trouble. I was impressed by how clean it was. The only thing I found where you might want to think a little is the lack of hand rails and safety rails throughout the Hotel on the landings and stairs. We were in room 6 and when you walked through to the Hotel, there is a set of stairs without a handrail you have to go down. Also in the bathroom, you should have a safety hand rail on the wall at the end of the bath so you have something to hold onto when you step out of the bath. Apart from that, it was a lovely Hotel to be.

Good breakfast Thin walls and squeaky floors. We were on the ground floor and every move could be heard above. Not very pleasant. Bathroom/en-suite was cold and stuffy and damp. When we arrived the dehumidifier was on and removed by the receptionist!! In a 'Classic Double ' would have expected a bath.

Friendly staff nice decor good breakfast good parking Could do with better (feather/down) pillows It was a bit chilly in the room in the morning but either the radiator and towel rail were not working or the heating was switched off. Although it is mild, it is January.

The hotel is very smart but comfy and cosy at the same time. The greeting was lovely and all the staff were pleasant and caring, we were visiting Aberporth to attend a funeral. We will be back to this hotel to enjoy the hotel and area on a much happier visit. Our room was the one with the fire exit, which was very reassuring if there had been a fire, can't understand why anyone would complain about that room. The room was spacious and very nicely furnished and had all we needed.

Staff were great, so was the food. Also got a free upgrade They advertised Free wifi with other than location this was the main reason I picked this hotel to catch up on admin . But they now charge for wifi so I was not very happy. The staff gave me access to Hotel Admin wifi but it was very slow in my room.
