Everything! Its a mix of style, kind of old and new. The bathroom was huge and spotless with Molton Brown products. Margaret couldn't do enough for me, I booked and arrived late and she already had soya milk in my roon (as i had requested only an hour or two earlier). She cooks a fantastic breakfast and does everything herself like a whirling dervish. I travel to the IOM with work and wouldn't ever want to stay anywhere else. ps the bed was sooo comfortable I have actually ordered a softer similar mattress for my bed at home 10/10 for everything, I didn't want to go to work in the morning
Everything. Margaret the host was friendly and inviting. Facilities were excellent. Afternoon cake was a bonus. Clean and well cared for.
Very welcoming and everything thought of to make you comfortable.
Margaret has certainly made her B & B 5 star. High spec all around from ensuite to individually decorated rooms. We were in the red room with beautiful sea front views. Lamp was gorgeous and the light shade. Couldn't wait for night to see them in their glory. They didn't disappoint. Molton Brown toiletries - kilner clipped glass water bottles. Tea and coffee of course - hairdryer that was normal - as some hotel hair dryers are so slow they take forever to dry my hair. Lounge with large TV to watch if we wanted - we did one night. Sat chatting to the other guests outside on the veranda and we had the weather and peace - lovely to meet and chat to Cath and Collin from Scotland. Great to compare notes and plan our next day out. Margaret is a font of knowledge too. Sheets and towels were clean and fresh. Breakfast - a choice of 5 - i worked my way through them. Freshly made. Had dinner one night - my lasagna was delicious and dauphinoise potatoes - i know they don't normally come with lasagne but everyone else was having them - so was i. I am a very fussy person and i couldn't fault Englwood Lodge. During our stay 2 separate couples came to see Margaret to ask for vacancies as they had stayed 1 night else where and they couldn't stay there again. A hidden gem. Just glad we found it. If it wasn't for people leaving reviews i would have missed out - so had to write my thoughts. THANK YOU MARGARET. Such a lovely lady - nothing is too much.
We flew to Douglas - very short flight 40 minutes from Liverpool. Just wish i had taken my car. Takes 3 - 4 hours on the ferry. You need a car to get around the island. There is an Electric tram stop outside Englewood Lodge but they stop running at 5.30pm. We went to see Lee Evans - fantastic but we needed to get a taxi back from Douglas to Onchan £8. The Electic tram goes half way into Douglas - then you have to jump on the horse tram to go along the front. Great experience but time consuming. Buses to go elsewhere else.
Margaret the Owner Margaret the Cook Margaret the Cleaner This woman does everything to her high standards.

The room was amazing with a fantastic view of the bay
Immaculately clean and comfortable, nothing was too much trouble for the pleasant owner. Definitely worth 5 stars. Would be more than happy to stay again.
Very pleasent location for a holiday, good outlook and food.
The hospitality went above and beyond the call of duty. I could not fault anything at all here. Will definitely be back for a longer stay. 5* well deserved!
Nothing not to like.
Good atmosphere. Owner was very very kindly. Thank you to her.
Very friendly helpful owner, comfortaable accommodation and superb breakfasts.
Home away from home. 5* Facilities & service , with an owner that understands hospitality. A rare occurrence in the Hotel industry these days. All around excellent.
I don't usually comment on 'Review Pages', however I will make an exception on this occasion. This is the second time we've stayed at Englewood Lodge and that says a lot. Our host, Margaret, is a lovely lady and couldn't do enough to make our stay a good one. We'll be back.
Our stay was great and made all the better for the service and attention to the detail of individual requirements of Margaret - wonder woman!
Everything. Lovely Manager, great food, excellent accommodation & food, superb garden, really comfortable lounge & dining rooms
Margaret is a gem! We had an incredible stay and she was so welcoming and kind.
Lots of extra touches to make the stay more comfortable etc cake and drinsk on tap, bottled water in the bedroom and bathrobes in the bathroom. Also excellent menu for breakfast and evening meal. Fabulous food in a great setting.
Nothing, super B&B
Loved the hospitality & convenience of the location, beautiful scenery.
Everything was great
Friendly and informative, Went out of the way to ensure our enjoyment of the stay.
Some seats were too low for my comfort and sloping bedroom ceilings could cause some discomfort.
Margaret, the owner makes every effort to make you feel welcome, without being overbearing. The food was excellent and there was always cake and hot drinks available in the lounge, as well as biscuits and hot drinks in the room. The furnishings are exceptional and the bathroom in our room was newly furnished to a very high standard. I would not hesitate in recommending Englewood Lodge to my friends or colleagues.
