Home from home, hotel in Bexhill

Set in Bexhill in the East Sussex region with Bexhill Beach nearby, Home from home offers accommodation with free private parking.

Everything! Communication and friendliness of the host was absolutely fantastic. Have already booked a return stay! House was spotlessly clean; everything you needed and beds were comfy! Plenty big enough for a small group and enough parking for a couple of cars which is always helpful when travelling as a group! Sadly a couple of people we were going with could no longer make it but was plenty of room for them too! Great location - shop and take aways etc nearby. Beach about a 25 min walk which could be a little long depending on who you are with but was a perfect 5 min drive! Spend the afternoon at bexhill beach and then the next day a short drive into Hastings.

    Bexhill is our happy place.

Bexhill is our happy place. We go to Bexhill whenever we can. It is clean, quiet and the people are very friendly, we absolutely love Bexhill. Lots of great places to eat. A great base for trips out to lots of places, historical eg Pevensey Castle, Battle Abbey Rye etc; other seaside destinations eg Eastbourne, Hastings and Brighton. Theatres in Eastbourne and Bexhill’s own De La Warr centre.

We were there to visit family, and this was not our first visit to Bexhill, however, there are lots of neat places to visit, a good variety of restaurants and cafes, shopping and easy accessibility either by walking or public transport. Great little town and well worth a visit.

Bexhill is a lovely quiet town with a fabulous prom.

Bexhill is a lovely quiet town with a fabulous prom. The stone beach is fabulous and great for walking along.. The town has many cafes, restaurants and good pubs along with nice shops and charity shops to mooch around. There is also a large out of town Marks and Spencer a couple of miles away. The train station is central and there is a good service to Hastings and Eastbourne as well as London.

Bexhill has some really interesting independent stores including an excellent material and haberdashery shop. The Pavillipn is well worth a visit and has some great displays and a good restaurant. The really lovely place to eat is the Trattoria along the sea front with such lovely staff. A lovely beach that exposes sand when the sea is out.

We were there for a family meeting so didn't see a lot, but we did go into the town for food and can highly recommend Bentley's as food and service were excellent and fairly priced. Currently a lot of road works going on which can cause hold ups but we did use two taxi services 247 cars and Town cars and both were punctual and reasonably priced for the length of journey and both with friendly polite drivers. We also visited the Relais Cooden Beach Hotel and that was very nice.

Beautiful well equipped small town with an iconic theatre...

Beautiful well equipped small town with an iconic theatre which hosts music, comedy, plays and an art gallery. Lovely pebble beaches with plenty of rock pools and a wonderful promenade scattered with cafes, beach huts and a sailing club. A little way from the seafront is a classic Victorian park with a gem of a museum - one of its features is a model railway gifted to the town by the famous local comedian, Eddie Izzard (a working model of Bexhill from the 1960’s made by his dad). There’s lots of good quality eateries in the town and great varied scenery if walking is your scene. Bexhill does have good public transport - station and buses for visiting nearby towns and cities.

The location is 2 minutes from De la Warr Pavilion and beach in Bexhill. Ideal if you are going to an event, or just want a relaxing seaside break. My room was very nicely furnished at the top of the house, large en suite bathroom. Breakfast - excellent menu. I asked for just a continental breakfast and was delighted to have fresh fruit salad, super croissants with cheese, yogurt, and excellent pot of tea. I found the location was ideal, and the guest house very friendly and welcoming.I will definitely stay again when next in Bexhill.

Bexhill on Sea is just lovely. The property is in a quiet neighbourhood, surrounded by equally nice homes. Parking was in abundance either on the street or, in our case, the driveway. We were welcomed by a really nice proprietor. Very laid back and nothing was too much trouble for him. The room and bed were both spacious and we had a great night’s sleep. The en-suite bathroom was very good, with a spacious shower cubicle and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was excellent. This was the perfect Bed and Breakfast accommodation.

Staff were brilliant facilitating early entry to room after traveling. Room comfortable and clean with balcony and sea view. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was a very wide choice ...everything one would want. Foolishly an item was left behind in the room after booking out, however, the staff quickly contacted and arranged the item to be promptly posted on. I cannot praise the staff and the hotel highly enough and would most certainly have a return visit and without second thoughts recommend to friends.

This was our first week away in a long time and our first with our nervous rescue dog Loki, and it was perfect. The cottage was cosy, clean and well located. Situated in a quiet area the cottage is near pubs, restaurants and the train station so you're never far from your next adventure. It was the perfect base for our adventures and Loki loved it as well. There was a welcome basket for us and the dog which really was the perfect start. Couldn't recommend enough.

We had such a lovely stay. The property was central to everything placed as it is in Bexhill.Close to shops,Pubs, the beach & The De La Warr Pavilion. We booked for Bed & breakfast & had a first evening meal here at The Driftwood. The food is exceptional. The rooms are beautifully decorated. We were supplied with Hotel Guest parking tickets & didn’t have a problem getting a space even though we moved the car to visit family. The Management & staff were lovely. So welcoming.

The decor was exceptional and we even loved the italian furniture. We may even buy the same. The ladies were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was quick, beautifully presented and cooked. We usually stay in hotels but even a good hotel would struggle to meet this quality and service. The room, walk in shower and excellent fittings were also of the highest standard. We will return if we need to go to the area again.

Amazing location on seafront. Good size apartment with lovely modern decor. Both bedrooms good size with plenty of storage. Modern bathroom with fab shower. Everything for a comfortable stay. We were there during the heatwave but sea breeze made it really pleasant. Basket of tea/coffee/jam etc a nice touch & useful. Bexhill itself a great spot to stay and relax - locals very friendly and range of places to eat, drink, shop.

Very comfortable, well appointed room with everything you could need. The whole hotel is beautifully decorated and absolutely immaculate. I especially appreciated the lovely spotless bathroom with whirlpool bath and shower. The owner Lucia is very helpful and makes you feel welcome with a nice personal, caring approach. Highly recommended Coast if staying in Bexhill. Also as a solo female guest I felt very safe. Great!

apartment was fully equipped, spacious and spotless. View of sea from bedroom window great when you wake up in the morning. This was the second apartment we stayed in with the owner Sam. We increased the time we stayed in Bexhill and although the original apartment was already booked was able to seamlessly switch to another with Sam"s help. This is another apartment I would not hesitate to stay in again.

Location is 2 mins from the beach. Well equipped for a short stay, microwave, toaster, fridge, kettle. Thanks for the teabags! Right next to a corner shop but cross over the road and you're at the De La Warr and seafront. Very clean. I was in the downstairs studio. And a much needed fan!! Would definitely stay again, great communication from the host.

The location to the town was a 5min drive away. The Little Garth is located in a quiet residential area with plenty of street parking. We wouldn't hesitate but to recommend this place. The couple who run this place are very accommodating. The breakfast was a delight. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Nice bar and food was very good. Solid bed. To be fair it's the best in the area. But then all seaside towns have terrible, tiny outdated and vastly overpriced hotels. The bar food, ergo it's an Inn not a hotel, is of a great standard. So if you're not staying it's definitely a decent night out.
