“ This B&B was one of the best accommodations I've ever stayed in Britain! I had a very warm welcome and a relaxed stay. My room was a comfortable, warm and clean double room even with complimentary water and fruit. The breakfast was delicious and hearty with lots of choice. The location so near Bexhill railway station makes this B&B an ideal base for touring East Sussex area by train. ”

The owners Tracy and Malcolm were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.On arrival although there was tea/coffee in the room they brought us a tray of freshly made tea and biscuits which we though was a lovely gesture. They brought our luggage up to the room and down again on departure. The whole place was spotlessly clean and there was everything you could want at hand. We rated this B&B as the best one we had ever stayed at. There was not enough parking facilities at the front of the B&B but there was parking in the side roads.

Nothing to criticise at all. We just needed a nice bed & breakfast, but this one was really excellent - all newly equipped with room better than many 4* hotels - friendly, helpful staff - good breakfast, ideal location for station, town centre and front. Highly recommended.

This is a very welcoming, friendly bed and breakfast which is a few minutes walk from the train station. The room was very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and furnished. The refreshments in the room were very nice as was the breakfast.

Very friendly owners, very clean, comfortable and modern, the breakfast was amazing, the best I've had for a while (kippers, scrambled egg and bacon). Close to the town, great place to stay. No faults at all.

Friendly, welcoming place. Tracey and Malcolm really looked after us. The breakfast choices would suit the most fussy eaters. The rooms were beautifully appointed with a large, comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern and roomy, with a shower that had loads of room to move. Stairs. Not a grumble, because staff helped us with our luggage, but if you cant do stairs you may have a problem.

Very friendly owners who went out of their way to accommodate my wish for an early start on Sunday morning. Excellent range of options for breakfast. Clean and airy rooms with good facilities. Nothing.

Owners were very welcoming; offered us tea upon arrival. Facilities were immaculately clean and well presented. We booked a room that was too small - our mistake. We'll book a larger room next time.

The English Rose is a very comfortable, warm and cosy B&B. Malcolm and Tracy are very accommodating and friendly proprietors. I stayed in a single room that had everything I needed and more. I was very impressed with the fruit bowl and complimentary water. The room and surrounding areas were spotless! The breakfast was plentiful and very yummy.

The English Rose was very reasonably priced and extremely good value. Bottled water and fruit in the rooms. The offer of a cuppa when you arrived. Very friendly couple who run it. Nothing to much trouble. Very close to the station and sea front. 10/10 Nothing to dislike

Proximity to the rail station and the seafront and the friendly owners. I had a v late night and did not have breakfast but I imagine it is very good - it smelled good when I was having a lie-in.
