Lovely room and excellent food and friendly staff
The hotel is really nice, combined with a very good Italian Restaurant. Easily accessible, easy parking behind the house (pre-book!) What was particularly nice was the genuine friendliness of the staff (Abby, Jacob and also the nice waiter from the restaurant who even spoke some German). It made me feel very welcome which sometimes is much appreciated by us solo travelers on a rainy night :-) The room (Minerva) was most lovely, well decorated with a beautiful bathroom, all very tastefully decorated and clean.
The room & bathroom were decorated tastefully. Friendly staff.
The room above the kitchen was rather noisy from the banging door. When ever the waiting staff went in or out of the kitchen the door would bang and reverberate in our room.
Room decor was fab. Owner and staff very nice. Comfy bed.
Nothing at all to complain about except maybe limited parking. But we had a space
Great location ! Wonderful comfy bed
Stylish and comfortable room, with thoughtful touches Very well equipped bathroom Quiet Welcoming owner and very helpful staff Delicious breakfast
Make sure you book a parking space - not clear at booking stage
Excellent welcome and all other staff interactions. Comfortable room with nice touches such as real coffee and cafetiere
During 'service' hours a banging from the kitchen exit door could be heard in the rooms above
The food , the room , cleanliness
The staff. The restaurant and the food were excellent. The fact the staff discounted my room by 50% in view of the poor experience and no sleep!
The room but not it's location. On the front so very exposed to traffic which as the hotel is directly opposite the port, is never ending - very heavy articulated lorries mostly. Avoid Room Fortuna!
bathroom -well updated and roomy; convenient location Quiet
Food excellent staff excellent
One of the best meals we've had in years! Comfortable bed and close to cruise terminal.
Nothing at all!
A great room in a perfect location. Very stylish and the bed was perfect! Staff very friendly. Loved this place!
The room was a good size and the facilities excellent with free mineral water supplied. Breakfast was good as was the service. The location was great for anyone who loves the bustle of a ferry port as our room looked out onto the port.
The air conditioning was difficult to work out ie it was rather hot in the room and although the unit was working it didn't seem to lower the temperature much even when the remote was lowered to 16 degrees.
Water cold in morning. I had the steak in the restaurant ( on the menu as chefs recommendation) the price was around £26 and it was poorly cooked and not value for money
I had booked a Superior double bedroom with a seating area. When I arrived at the hotel, I was very tired after a long travel and tried to check in to my room but the recipient said that the only available rooms are small double and twin bedrooms!! they ignored my reservation and showed me to these room they have left, finally I was given a small double bedroom, and in the checkout I was charged the whole amount for a superior bedroom. It was not very clean, especially the coffee and tea facilities in it, it had dirty cups and dirty spoons.
small (10 rooms). excellent staff. Christopher Harrison (owner) went out of his way to help us. We never got our luggage from Heathrow. Made sure we got to clothing store and personally took us to our cruise ship. Can't say enough about our treatment.
Room very good standard and value friendly staff excel ant restaurant and bar
Italian restaurant attached. Good room. Good welcome. Great location. Walk to cruise ship.
Excellent location for a pre cruise stay
Room was rather dusty, although very we'll equipped and comfortable
Hotel is within walking distance from all of the main attractions in Southampton. Nice room, spacious and good amenities. Very nice staff. Breakfast was also good.
Pillows a bit on the soft side.
