Having to leave!
This hotel has fabulous rooms and a fine resteraunt . I've stayed in most of the smaller chic hotels in southampton and this is the best one. I enjoyed the breakfast which was cooked to order.the manageress and all the staff are very professional too.
Temporary roadworks outside but these will soon be finished.
The staff greeted us like long lost friends on arrival and we were made very welcome indeed. Our dinner in the restaurant was superb, one of the best Italian meals we have had in a long time. The standard was very high throughout and it made our visit to the hotel part of our cruise holiday and not just a stopover.
Quality of fittings in hotel room excellent. Opposite ferry terminal, and very near shopping area.
Room very warm, can open window but noisy as room was facing main road, put on ACU and although modern was a little noisy to sleep through.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and the meal was fantastic would stay again.
Atmosphere, position and restaurent
Position of breakfast self service table
The staff were very cordial and accommodating.
No elevators. Really not suited to older people who have difficulty climbing stairs. Also had to access the stairs with luggage through the Dining Room, and leave the same way.
Most. Very helpful.
Roadworks right outside at the moment. Hopefully these will finish and improve access. Not ideal for parking. Limited spaces only due to location.
Close to restaurants and activities, yet just a short cab ride to the cruise terminal.
Staff had a sense of humour
Excellent value for accommodation, customer service from everybody there was efficient and friendly. Excellent provision of everything in the spacious and good looking rooms. Bathrooms are also excellent. The owner, Harry, is highly professional and very accommodating. The restaurant is surely one of the best in Southampton. Excellent chef, diverse Italian menu, excellent wines. The whole establishment is just excellent and I am looking for any opportunity or excuse to return there as soon as possible.
The fact I didn't have to stay longer.
Large comfortable clean rooms; friendly and helpful staff
No elevator; check in awkward during evening, dinner time, primary business is a restaurant and staff was busy with serving clients
Friendly helpful staff and excellent food.
My sister and myself like the fact that there were twin beds - and it was only a couple blocks from the terminal where we had to catch the boat
the water in the shower was Hot/Hotter/Hottest couldn't get any cold water
Quality of fixtures & fittings
noisy air conditioning
The room was not ready but the innkeeper diffused the situation sending us off to town with a great sense of humour. By the time we returned, our bags were in the room. The staff was very helpful at all times. This was a small hotel but had a large feel. The Italian restaurant was fabulous and a lot of locals were eating there.
Room was not carpeted. It was a little small sized compared to American taste, but clean and comfortable.
Ideal location for ferry and cruise terminals. Ground floor Italian restaurant very nice and breakfast was excellent.
Limited parking. Some road noise.
food was excellent-breakfast and dinner people were very friendly. location was close to cruise ship and the town
Spot on if you're travelling and staying at the boat show. Forget the big hotels..... Prob the best Italian restaurant / meal we have ever had!
Staff smoking round the rear of the building......
Great size room, good breakfast, central location
Staff were slow serving breakfast and took time to replenish juice etc. Was not offered more tea/coffee.
A very friendly destination, clean and comfortable and close to the shops. A great stay. Restaurant was great and full English in the morning was fab. Great value for money.
Having visited Southampton for the Boat Show for many years, we have finally found the perfect place to stay. Always loved the restaurant, now love the whole 'boutique' experience. You are made to feel like a personal guest, and everything is about attention to detail. Lovely room and food, great team, overall really faultless!
Duvet and pillows were lovely. Breakfast excellent. Great towels and plenty of them.
Stairs to room dirty. Bulbs out in room. Mouldy shower.Dirty windows. Not double glazed so noisy. Staff good but smoking at back door looks bad and smelly. Waiter took order and stank of cigarettes.
Lovely bedroom with very nice toiletries
Not much parking
