I had booked a Superior double bedroom with a seating area. When I arrived at the hotel, I was very tired after a long travel and tried to check in to my room but the recipient said that the only available rooms are small double and twin bedrooms!! they ignored my reservation and showed me to these room they have left, finally I was given a small double bedroom, and in the checkout I was charged the whole amount for a superior bedroom. It was not very clean, especially the coffee and tea facilities in it, it had dirty cups and dirty spoons.
small (10 rooms). excellent staff. Christopher Harrison (owner) went out of his way to help us. We never got our luggage from Heathrow. Made sure we got to clothing store and personally took us to our cruise ship. Can't say enough about our treatment.
Room very good standard and value friendly staff excel ant restaurant and bar
Italian restaurant attached. Good room. Good welcome. Great location. Walk to cruise ship.
Excellent location for a pre cruise stay
Room was rather dusty, although very we'll equipped and comfortable
Hotel is within walking distance from all of the main attractions in Southampton. Nice room, spacious and good amenities. Very nice staff. Breakfast was also good.
Pillows a bit on the soft side.
Beautiful comfortable beds and bedding
staff very friendly restaurant excellent
stairs! no lift up to accommodation which is a bit hard if you are physically compromised.
Stayed for one night pre cruise made welcome as soon as getting there ,breakfast was very good room very comfortable would recommend will stop there again when in Southampton.
Paying £7-50 car park charge
Pleasant, comfortable, great location (for Cunard line travel),breakfast very good!
Dinner a bit disappointing for those who enjoy spicy Italian food.
The amazing friendly staff, who were all so helpfull. In particular Abby who was lovely. Food was good, the room lovely, a comfortable hotel. so good we came back and spent another night.
Ennios is a perfect place for a romantic getaway, the staff are friendly and attentive, the rooms are lovely and unique and the restaurant serves delicious Italian food! We've become regulars!
The only thing that is a bit annoying is the traffic noise if you get a room on the main road side!
ON MY ARRIVAL THE TAXI DRIVER COULD FIND NOWHERE TO PARK SO HAD TO PULL IN AROUND THE BACK AND BRING SUITCASES TO THE FRONT , NO -ONE AT SMALL WOODEN DESK SO BARMAN CAME OUT TO CALL SOMEONE , I WAS THEN TOLD I WAS TOO EARLY (WHICH INDEED I WAS ) IT WAS 2 OCLOCK AND CHECK IN WAS 3 , HOWEVER THERE WAS NOWHERE TO LEAVE MY LUGGAGE AND THE MANAGER PROCEEDED TO USHER MY BAGS INTO A CORNER AND ASSURED ME IT WOULD BE SAFE !! NO ROOM WAS AVAILABLE TO LOCK IT AWAY SECURELY VERY POOR !! ANOTHER COUPLE ARRIVED AS I WAS BEING SEEN TOO AND COULDNT EVEN MANAGE TO GET IN THE DOOR PROPERLY AS ENTRANCE IS SMALL AND NOT A PROPER RECEPTION AREA ,
WHEN I DID COME BACK AFTER THREE I WAS SHOWN TO THE WRONG ROOM WHICH HAD BEEN REQUESTED AND APPROVED VIA E-MAIL HOWEVER ANOTHER GIRL CAME UP AND THE CORRECT ROOM WAS GIVEN , THE STAFF DOWNSTAIRS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DINING AREA AND ROOMS UPSTAIRS AND SEEMED TO BE RUSHED OFF THEIR FEET ! THE STAIRS UP TO THE ROOMS ARE A NIGHTMARE IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING ALONE AND HAVE MORE THAN ONE BAG, HAD A LOVELY ROOM BUT VERY NOISY FROM TRAFFIC OUTSIDE , I WAS LEAVING AT 8 OCLOCK IN THE MORNING AND CAME DOWNSTAIRS TO RETURN MY KEY AND BOOK A TAXI TO FIND EVERYTHING WAS LOCKED AND COULDNT GET OUT , LUCKILY A MEMBER OF STAFF HAD JUST ARRIVED AND LET ME THROUGH THE RESTAURANT THE GIRL WAS VERY NICE BUT AGAIN SEEMED STRESSED AND OVERWORKED I UNDERSTAND IT WAS XMAS PERIOD BUT SHOULD HAVE MORE STAFF SURELY ? MORE OF A RESTAURANT WHICH LOOKED AND SMELT LOVELY BUT NOT A HOTEL THAT I WOULD RETURN TOO . SECURE ROOM FOR EARLY ARRIVALS SHOULD BE PROVIDED
all of the above
Location, staff and excellent restaurant
This hotel was excellent. From the room to the wonderful staff - who bent over backwards to help.
All round good (from someone who spends about 80 nights a year in hotels) - staff particularly friendly and easy-going; great room, good breakfast, warm atmosphere
Roadworks outside but that is only temporary!
Staff were very friendly and informative. Meal in the restaurant and breakfast were excellent
Not really any quiet space in which to work although free Wi-Fi for quick access to emails etc is a bonus
feathered pillows , warm , helpfull
Breakfast not in the price , u paid for the drinks in fridge , we go to hotels etc at least 6 times a year , and half of those are in the price . and no sky tv , which is a must
Convenient, nice continental breakfast, good location, comfortable room
The fact they don't tell you if you don't take your key out that you can't get into the hotel after 11.30 & no staff out there until 7.30am! Either sleep with a colleague, another guest or in the car.
Good setting, well decorated, food was generally ok. The staff were very pleasant.
Overall the prices were on the high side. The breakfast bacon had been cooked and kept warm and had dried out somewhat.Parking facilities almost non existent.
High quality of this quirky building renovation to create a first class hotel, high spec toiletries, hospitality tray and finally the top-class Italian restaurant made this a must-stay for anyone on any sort of trip - cruise stayover, business or weekend away. Don't miss it.
Taxi driver would not drop us off at hotel door as roadworks going on, but this was no drawback to this hotel.
Staff very helpful and friendly
Got back to the hotel at 10.15 and bar was closing
Staff most helpful. Food in resturant excellent. Will stay again.
Wifi very poor had difficulty signing on gave up in the end.it would be difficult if you were disabled to get to the bedrooms as there is no lift.fortunately it did not worry us. The staff were very helpful with our luggage.
