Erskine Bridge Hotel

Nur die Lage konnte uns über diesen Fawlty Tower trösten. Es lag gut zum Braehead Retail Park.

Empfang: Barsch, nur knaoo höflich, misstrauisch! ! Zimmer waren zwar renoviert, aber die Heizung lief ununterbrochen, ohne Abstellmöglichkeit. Wir mussten über Nacht die Fenster offenlassen, trotzdem war es die ganze Nacht heiß und stickig. Die sog. Dusche tröpfelte nur. Das Abendessen war schlecht, was wir auch gesagt aben, man konnte es sehen, die Teller blieben voll. Reaktion gab es keine Das sog. Frühstücksbuffet war ein Witz! Als wir uns am Empfang beschwerten, wurden wir angefahren, warum wir denn niemandem Bescheid gesagt hätten. Also nachts um 12 Uhr vermutlich hätten wir den Klempner rufen sollen!! Danke, wir waren also selbst schuld. Im Gegensatz zu den Zimmern sind die Flure nicht renoviert. Nie wieder

Leisure fascilities

I have stayed at this hotel for the last 6 weeks, and while the rooms have been updated, all of the bathrooms I have had don't hold water in the basin. It just runs away, so every time you loose about half a gallon of water, and nobody seems to care. What a waste of heating and water.

Then staff were unobtrusive and friendly, the rooms were roomy, clean and comfortable and the value for money ewaqs excellent, The location is very underplayed, handy for Glasgow, Loch Lomond and Dumbartonshire, yet not too far for Glasgow and Prestwick Airports

If I were being picky it could be better signposted from the m'way and the car park could be better lit

The lights in my original room exploded with a very loud bang, but the staff were excellent, and I was allocated another room almost immediately. I would also disagree with some earlier comments about the hotel needing refurbishment - this has now obviously been done, and the hotel looks very smart.

Great room though there was a problem in getting the shower to work - that needs sorting out. Otherwise, excellent value and great breakfast!

State of the decor in the lobby left a bit to be desired, and of course there was that problem with the shower - couldn't get the hot water to come on properly. I like showers to be simple not complicated.

The lift requires updating. Almost every time we visit one is out of action.

Rooms clean and tidy. We were at the hotel for a wedding reception and just wanted somewhere to get our head down for the night.

Corridors and hallways were run down looking and could do with redecorating. Cleaner walked into the room at 7.30am when we were sleeping!!

Catering and restaurant service was excellent. The rooms were comfortable and recently refurbished. Access to Glasgow centre was easy.

Apart from room, rest of hotel is in need of general refurbishment

Staff were very professional and helpful and the car parking with the transfer to and from the airport was excellant.

Courtesy and helpfullness of the staff was the best memory. The breakfast was good too and it was simple to find.

the lifts were awful

the location is excellent for me being fairly close to home -Dunoon and close to Glasgow where I had several business meetings to attend and didnt want to be making the journey home every day. the location was also preferable to a city location where conjestion would have been annoying. The reception and dining staff were very nice and I would stay there again

1- the car park lighting; the area that filled first was well lit however arriving after 9 pm meant parking near trees in a poorly lit area. I felt quite vulnerable and wished that I could have parked in or nearer the disabled parking bays - perhaps there could be spaces designated for women travelling alone. 2. I was in room 329 and there was no guest information regarding room service - there was a little info on the "charge to room" card but not what I was looking for. Perhaps thats policy now but if it is it should be reconsidered or even optional at check in - When staying in a large hotel on business is look to see what they have on offer on the premises. On my return visit I will ask for that information at check in.
