Really couldn't fault this hotel
The hotel and staff were lovely
Our room was on a floor where wedding party guests were. While we were trying to sleep, they were trying to party!
Mostly everything.Great views (if you're on the right side of the hotel).
Corridors a bit scuffed and run down. The first room I was allocated had a non-functioning door lock. It was sorted (changed room) but an example of a bit of upkeep needed.
location check in
No security on bedroom door, i.e. chain or open/lock system-was woken at 03:05 by knock on bedroom door by reception to turn down my TV...kept on to drown the sound of the lift comings and goings. ....and fell asleep! Why did they not recognise a solo female guest check in and phone my room instead of knocking on my door x2 and making me vulnerable to answering the door without security insitu?? sound proofing! customer service-as above no car park spaces on arrival-park and abandon!
Location and price also reception staff were over worked, definitely understaffed but lovely and helpful. The towels in the room were big and fluffy.
Uncomfortable bed and food was very 'processed' in the resteraunt but acceptable although over priced for what it was. My room was on the 5th floor, clean but dated.
Closeness to the bridge.
Shower curtain in bathroom ... Time to update to screens . TV's small . We had a dog with us . And no one seemed to know where he was aloud ... It was hard for us to eat .
Nice pool area and gym, good breakfast bathroom clean
decor in corridors, general areas and rooms very tired and grubby. slightly stuffy stale smell in bedrooms which were far too hot breakfast not included in already expensive stay, and quite pricey
Attentive and was able to fulfill all our requests. An excellent stay over for up trip to The West Coast.
Enjoyed the leisure facilities & treatments. The staff was very friendly & welcoming!
TV was very out of date & extremely poor picture quality! Mattress was very hard.
leisure facilities, food was amazing, bar area plus pool table, nice room with very comfy bed.
outside is a bit scruffy, pot holes on road outside, had to wait ages on gettin served at evening meal.
me and my wife enjoyed our one night stop over at this hotel, we were made to feel very welcome, the staff were friendly and really helpful, thank you
Noisy at night lift and guests
The beds were so comfortable. The room was really clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room service was very good.
I did not like parking on the grass and leaving the car there for one week.
Lighting in bath was very good.
Beds were very hard. Lighting in room was poor. Rooms very dated.
In a good location, rooms had good views. Nice to walk along the river.
Evening meal... Poorest excuse for a burger I have ever encountered, was around 3 oz and was dwarfed by the bun. The interior of the building needed an uplift the exterior needed full refurbishment. Very poor selection of whisky in the bar
Location, nice staff
Bed, other guests, the room was cold
Helpful service. Attending a wedding at another venue but this not stop the staff being helpful
Staff really polite and the food is really good
I stayed in room 519, this room is in dire need of renovation. There was a massive threadbare patch on the carpet, the bath wall handle came off in my hand and a load of rust fell into my bath! Cracked tiles, curtains with dubious stains on them and a table that had obviously got wet before as was all bubbled on the top under the laquer. If I had paid for the room I would of demanded my money back but the company paid. Its a real shame as the staff are really nice as well as the food, but this room has ensured i would never stay in this hotel again. Beware 519!
Dated decor and in need of a lot of TLC
It was nicely situated at the river. Close to Glasgow Reception staff was very understanding regarding the complaint of cleaning staff noice and would take action. Reception staff was also very helpful regarding checking/printing the timetables of the busses.
The quality of the bed was POOR! you could FEEL and HEAR the springs. Also you feel the edges of the matres clearly. The room looked very dated. Room was VERY noicy. you could hear your neighbours talking. Cleaning staff wasn't quit at all when cleaning other rooms (Toilet seat kept on falling out of hands for couple of times per room and they were shouting over corridor towards eachother at 7.30/8.00AM is not nice when you want to sleep a bit longer) Room was very old fashioned/dated WiFi did NOT reach the hotelroom. only in lobby or at corridor... It was not worth the price we paid for!
exellent location very friendly staff peace and quiet great value for money
Room was clean
It was like going back in time
Reasonably clean Excellent toilet
good value fir money and free use of gym
due to location you just tend to eat there so they give you in one hand but take away in the other by over priced food and lack of menu
Food was ok
Non refurbished room was the worst I've ever stayed in- it was literally falling apart. Holes in the carpet and curtains, wallpaper falling off, paint peeling in the bath (someone had attempted to re-coat it), mattress exceptionally thin and felt every spring. Only 1 channel watchable on tv
